Beautiful Sunflowers

It is Shirley with you today.  I have made a card with my favorite flowers on it.  I love sunflowers, I think they are the most beautiful flowers ever.

I started my card with a brown card base.  I layered it with red card stock and added a layer of designer paper.    I really think these colors compliment each other and they are perfect for a card with a country feel.

I used red card stock to cut the Fleur De Lis decorative square.   I used a square die to cut out a window to fit the Heartfelt Creations Sunflower Bouquet behind.   I stamped two of the images so I could fussy cut the sunflowers from  one to place in the corner.  I shaped the flowers using the Paper Blossoms Tool Kit.  I colored the images with Copics.  I adhered the three sunflowers on the corner of the first image and popped one of them up using a foam square.  I used green card stock to cut the Marianne Anja Leaves 2 to place under the sunflowers.  I used my trusty Memory Box Willoughby Butterfly Wings to cut the butterflies in the upper corner.  This is the butterfly image that I use the most.  I used Tear Drop Pearls to place on the butterfly and in the corners as the finishing touch to my card.

I hope you liked my card.  Thank you for dropping in to see us today.
I added four new items to the shop today.  Three of the four items have only one available, so shop now while they are available.  You can see them all here.

Patterns stitching colors

Hello, it is Shirley posting today.  I have made a card for the new Classy Cards 'n Such challenge for this week.   We have an inspiration picture with stuffed puppy dogs on it.  We are suppose to use the Colors, Stitches or Patterns on our cards.  We can use them all if we like.  I went with the colors.  Here is my card.

All of the patterned paper that I used in my card including the image came from the Graphic 45 Raining Cats And Dogs Paper Pad.  This paper does all the work and takes the guess out of what papers to put together for a card.

The circle was cut using the Spellbinders Teardrop Circles die.  This set comes with four dies.  I used the Spellbinders Tool 'n One to clean my die.  Here is a video on how well it works.  It sure saves a lot of time.

I made my flower using Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose stamps.  I sponged them with ink.   I shaped them using the Paper Blossoms Tool Kit.   I added stickles to the center of the flowers.  I colored the leaves and scrunched the tips.

I hope you will join us for the challenge.

Thinking of You

Hello, Diane with you today.  This week on the blog the challenge is Buttons.  What fun!  I think buttons are so interesting with so many colors, shapes, and sizes to choose from!

I made a rather large card, 6 x 6. I first started by embossing a Mason Jar onto Heartfelt Creations' Clear Card Stock.

Next, I cut a piece of plain white card stock to fit the
embossed mason jar. I laid it on top so I could get the placement of my buttons.  Then I removed it and adhered each button down.  Here are some beautiful buttons for you to make your own jar and both are on sale!  Boutique Bubblegum and Boutique Cupcake.

I then ran adhesive down each side to attach the jar to the background. To cover up the adhesive, I cut two Impression Obsession Border Duo 1 edges and adhered over the edges.

To finish, I simply adhered the entire piece to a designer paper, added lace trim and bow to the top, and a sentiment.

Thank you for visiting with me today.`

We've made it easy for you to find our future challenges!  Click  on the Challenge Calendar tab on the right side of the blog. All of the challenges are listed through February 2016!

Best Friends

Best Friends bring out the best in you!  How true is that?  Mindy here to share a friendship card that is simple to do, with a few patterned papers, a couple of stamps, and a die cut or two.

I started with a card base and matched one patterned paper and two solids to it.  I then trimmed down a half inch at a time or more, to make my layers that the stamped image and die cut would be adhered to.  I stamped the flower cluster with banner from the Heartfelt Creation set Majestic Morning Accents Pre-Cut Set, and colored it with my markers.  I stamped a sentiment from the Floral Vintage Labels Two by JustRite Stamps on the banner then fussy cut out the image and mounted it to my card front with Joy! Foam Pads Small.  I also die cut a butterfly from my collection of dies, and shaded the wings to match one of my solid card stocks.

Have a wonderful week, and join us again for another beautiful classy card.

Joy to the World

The Lord has Come! We are only a day away from Christmas, and I want to take this opportunity to wish you all Joy and Happiness this holiday season.  Mindy with you to share a happy little card with a wonderful message of joy.

I started with two background layers of white that I cut a window from one, using a Spellbinders die.  I then placed it on top of the other, and traced around the opening so my sentiment would be centered.  I used the Joy to the World word stamp from the Heartfelt Creations set Joy to the World Cling Stamp set which still may be available in the Classy Cards online store.  I ran the top layer through my embossing machine with the Dots Embossing Folder by Crafts Too!  After backing with Joy! Foam Pads - Large I adhered the layers and added it to the card front.

I framed the sentiment with another of the framed dies from the Spellbinders set, then stamped a few tiny snowflakes and added Baby Pearls - White to the center of each.  I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful holiday.

Holiday Joy

Happy Thanksgiving, friends. Christmas is just around the corner, and whether you celebrate with traditional colors or bright colors, your decorations and cards can show your color preferences during this time of joy.  Mindy here to share a card using bright colors and pastels to brighten your holidays.

My card design began with a piece of favorite printed paper adhered to my card base.  I then stamped the Sparkling Poinsettia Candle Cling Stamp Set from Heartfelt Creations on watercolor paper and colored it with watercolor markers. I fussy cut around the design, and used Joy! Foam Pads - Large to raise it from the card surface.  My sentiment was then die cut from a Sue Wilson die, then adhered to the Elegant Musical Staff by Memory Box.  I added a single rhinestone, from the Sleek Silver Rhinestone Strips to add just a tiny bit of sparkle to my card.

I hope you have enjoyed my card, and will join us daily for our card inspiration.

Thankful and Happy

A wonderful sentiment that is popular this time of year.  Mindy with you this afternoon with a card that asks a special question, Is it Happiness that makes us thankful or is it Thankfulness that makes us happy?  Something for you to ponder this day.

I started with a panel colored with the Ken Oliver Crafts Color Bursts from the brights set.  I usually color full 9" X 12" pages of watercolor paper when I play with the Color Bursts and then trim them down to card size so I will have them ready when I need a bright and beautiful background.  I then stamped my sentiment from the I am Thankful stamp set from Impression Obsession and die cut around it with the Labels Eighteen die set from Spellbinders.

I then stamped and added the Birds and Blooms stamp set by Heartfelt Creations.  After coloring and fussy cutting around the flowers I mounted them with Joy! Foam Pads Large to achieve the needed dimension for the front of my card.  I then added Allure Swirls in Silver Rhinestones for the center of the tiny flowers to add just that touch of bling.

I hope you have enjoyed this card, and will give the Color Bursts by Ken Oliver Crafts a try. They are so vibrant and fun to color your backgrounds.

Color Bursts - just like Mindy used in her pretty card above - are on sale through Saturday, November 21st!   Use coupon code CW17 at checkout and receive 17% off either the single colors or color sets -  your choice!  Click here to shop all available Color Bursts!
