My little boy turned 8!

How did he go from this....

to this...SO FAST!!!!

Gavin turned 8!  I can't believe it.  It seems like just yesterday I was being sent home from the hospital with false contractions.  When Gavin was born I remembering thinking, "wow it will be 2011 when he is baptized, that is SO far away!"  Well it's 2011 and my little boy was baptized!  It was awesome, I don't think the day could have gone any better.  The whole day was ALL ABOUT GAVIN.  His piano  teacher played the piano, his primary teacher lead the music, I introduced him, his Aunt Tori gave the Baptism talk, the first song was his favorite song, "Do What is Right," his dad baptized him, his Grandpa did holy Ghost talk, his dad confirmed him, and refreshments were his favorite... Donut Holes!  After his baptism we all went to dinner at Spaghetti factory.  It really was a magical day, just seeing his little face light up was awesome!

I just want to say how much I love this kid!  He truly is such an awesome kid!  He is well behaved, makes good choices, always tries his best, is pretty much good at anything he tries, so kind to his little brother and sister, he is ALWAYS playing with kids that are half his age or younger and he is so good to them.  Every morning before school he wakes up at 6:30ish, does his chores, gets dressed, gets Peyton and goes downstairs and gets both of them breakfast (he even lays a towel down so she doesn't spill) he does all this and doesn't even wake me up.  He lets me sleep, occasionally I will get a, "mom it's 7:30."  He is SO SWEET.  He truly is such a blessing in my life.

He still loves skateboarding, math, piano, playing with his siblings, anything adventurous or outside, gymnastics, drums (just started taking lessons).

I will post his 8 year old interview soon.

I love this kid with all my heart!  Happy Birthday Buddy!

Here goes an attempt at an update...

First off.... Let me just apologize for my 40+ pictures.  In my defense, I did narrow it down from the 328 I downloaded!!

This is New Year's Day and Curren's first time eating rice cereal.  He is about 6 1/2 months old.  He was just so chubby I never bothered to start the cereal any earlier, but he was ready!

Looking pretty satisfied with his new found love for solids!

Aunt Wendy and Susann came to visit.  We have an awesome dinner at Duke's and enjoyed catching up!

This year we stayed in CA for Christmas.  We went to my parents house on Christmas Eve were the kids got SPOILED.  We could have just called it quits after that night and the kids would have had plenty of toys!

This is Gavin and Peyton on Christmas morning!  Their reaction was PRICELESS!
Our attempt at a Christmas morning photo.
Right after breakfast Gavin couldn't wait to get out and try the new rail that Santa got him for Christmas. Of course he ROCKED it!!!

Curren was just hanging out in his stroller watching his big bro skate!

Curren and Gavin

This was at the Fashion Island tree lighting.  We went with our friends Mandy and Jason.  We had a good time!

We were the 2nd people in line to take pictures with Santa!  It was awesome!  After the tree lighting, the line was HUGE!

One of my favorite things this holiday season was going to San Francisco.  Clay had to go up there for work, so he took all of us!  It was so much fun!  I love San Francisco at Christmas time.  We stayed in an awesome hotel, ate at some cool little places, ice skated in union square, shopped, went to Fisherman's Warf, rode the trolley, went to the skate park, saw some family and just enjoyed being together.

This was the view from our room

This was in Union Square
Peyton's first time ice skating.  Poor Clay had to lean over like this the whole time.

This is my new FAVORITE picture of Gavin.  Look at that face!!

We exhausted this little girl!!

Golden Gate bridge

This was in Santa Cruz.  We were watching a little surf competition.

Gavin was looking for treasure, he actually found a super cool rock with purple crystals, like the kind you would buy at the store.  I think it made his trip!

Some of our friends invited us to go on a Duffy boat in the Harbor.  We had a lot of fun, we got to see all the lights on the boats and the houses.  We may have to make this a tradition.

Peyton is obsessed with soda... (daddy...)

This is right before Gavin got to drive the boat

We had like a week straight of rain, the kids were sick and we were locked in the house.  When they started to get better, we HAD to go jump in the puddles!  She was in heaven.

Curren started sitting up around 5 months.  He is a little happier now that he can actually play with some toys.

HALLOWEEN....  was a blast.  Peyton totally got the whole, "ring the bell... they give me candy" thing.   Clay and I were Top Gun, Peyton- super woman and Curren- elephant.  Gavin was with his dad this year in Missouri, but he was a dude from the 70's, it was pretty cute.

PEYTON TURNED 2!!!!  I can't believe my little girl is 2!  Time flies.  She is growing so fast and she is so full of personality.  We love this little girl... attitude and all!!!  We spent her birthday at my parents house with cousins.  The morning of her birthday I made her favorite breakfast, "pancake balls."

This year I decided that we were going to send out Christmas cards, so I had our family pictures scheduled for the first week in Oct.  I was on the ball this year!!  Here are a couple of our favorites.

The rest of these pictures are kind of random...

If you made it all the way down to this point... Thanks for sticking with me!  I promise to try and do better.
