Happy Birthday Cody!

My little man celebrated his 1st birthday today. How does something go from this...
...to this so quickly!?
Cody has brought so much joy into our family this past year; we don't know how we ever lived without him. We celebrated with 2 parties for him; one last week in Idaho and today here in Colorado. He has lots of toys now (thanks everyone!), but he mostly just wanted to eat the paper. HAHA, yes, Cody loves to eat paper, well, he loves to eat ANYTHING! :o) He is teething right now again and is working on the two side teeth ontop to join the 4 he already has. Today at church he was given the nicknames of Billy goat and sheepy. You must be asking why could that be? :o) If you would like to find out...annoy my son and you will find the answer. :o) He has a pre-cry that just sounds like a baaaing sheep or a billy goat sound. It is quite funny and I have yet to capture this amazing talent on my camera yet...I will post it when I do get it. Cody is crawling all around and loves to do the sit crawl with one leg. It is very cute and he knows it too. He has a really cute cheesy smile where he scrunches up his little nose and closes his eyes and smiles really big to show you his teeth. OH my! We all just laugh when he pulls this funny face and he'll keep going because he loves the reaction. I have yet to capture that moment also! I do need too! Anyway, we do love you our little Cody bear. We are excited to see you continue to grow and learn new things. Happy Birthday Cody! Enjoy the pictures below of our little man...

Here he is opening his presents today, he got a really cute little ball that rolls and wobbles around by itself.
All the many helpers helping Cody open his presents.

Okay, story time. My sister Breanna has this really cool ball pillow that is fuzzy and really soft. Cody loves her ball. Her ball is green. I thought, hmmm, Cody would love one of those balls and they happened to be on sale day-after-thanksgiving and there was still one at the store when we made it there. (not that we went just for that or anything). ANYWAY, he opened the ball tonight and is terrified of the thing! LOL, he won't go near it or even touch it. WOW, I thought I was doing him a favor, I guess not....

Here he is at his party last week. He sure loved his cake!

He is getting messier....
I love this face! He was done and couldn't figure out what was all over his face! YUM!

Here is party #1 and trying to dig in the cake during pictures.
The rest of the pictures are just of Cody in the past few months (seeing as his mom has been too busy to keep up on the whole blogging thing)...

One day I tried to put Cody and Carter in the same room for naps. Haha, the joke was on me. No sleeping happened and Cody was fast asleep in his high chair before dinner. :o)

Cody has the best hair! He has this really cool wave on top and it is so long and just oh so soft! I love it! This picture was right when he woke up...he was sure working on his hair-do most of the night.

Cody
loves Emma and Carter. He tries to follow everything they do.

Cody was a carebear for Halloween this year.

Here is Cody with Grandma and Poppy and uncle Cavin. He loves to go and play at their house and get Poppy treats!

And here he is around Halloween/Fall time. I can't believe my son is already trying to walk and is just growing up so fast.
Happy Birthday Cody!

I haven't laughed this hard in a long time! (hence the camera jiggling so much!) My kids are too cute!!! I love you guys!

Oh What do YoU Do In The SummerTIme?

Soooooo, I guess someone out there says that if you are really far behind in your blog updates, to just start fresh with today's happenings and try to catch up someday? :o) I guess that works for me. We will take it and start fresh. Here is what we have been up to lately (besides the unexpected home renovation/disaster/living elsewhere happening....pictures and story to come when it is complete...one word...crazy!) Greg reading to the kids (cody and Emma)
Emma did cheer camp over the summer and here is her performance at halftime of the 1st home High school football game. She is the 2nd from the right. She was thrilled to have fun with Kate, her cousin! My mom took Kate and Emma for the week of cheer camp and they had loads of fun with grandma! Emma didn't want to come back home when it was all said and done.

Here we are at Bear World. We had never visited this fun place before, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun this actually was! Here is Emma with a bear. (from inside the car of course!) :o)

So picturesque, wouldn't you say?

Goin' on a bear hunt... it was amazing how many bears were just right around our car and so active!

Carter and Cody at Bear World just chillin' in the stroller.
This was Emma and Carter's favorite ride at Bear World.

Another fun ride with Dad this time!

They had a really hands on petting zoo (haha), no really, they had a great petting zoo. Deer, chickens, geese, goats, ducks, etc...

Emma fell in love with this little deer. She named him Bambi. Yes, she is hugging him in the picture!

Here she is laughing because Bambi is licking her fingers and trying to nibble on them!

Feeding the ducks

We chose a great day to go, not many people and we were able to go through the park twice and the kids rode all the rides they wanted, all by themselves most of the time. Here is Cody surveying the ducks.

Carter kept wanting more and more food to feed the animals. He would walk around and check all the food dispensers to see if anyone had left more food.

My little bears...

Cody loved riding with Daddy to see the animals. Lovely wolf in the background.

Wanting to drive so soon! (don't worry, we were only going like 3 mph through the park, that was the speed limit) :o)

We headed to the water park in Rexburg. What a fun idea! We had never been so we decided to check it out. Totally FREE!! The kids had a fun time. Here is Emma going down the slide.

Sorry, it's sideways....Carter and Daddy going down the slide.

What a funny picture of Emma! When we showed her this picture, she just laughed and laughed. She was getting cold and wanted a towel.

Cody loved the bubbling water spouts.

All the kids in the water.

Then we took the kids for a ride on the merry-go-round.

Emma started preschool! Yes, she was so excited to go and just loves to learn. She is a smart little girl and loves to go to preschool. She is learning sign language right now and her alphabet sounds. Isn't she a cutie!
(side note, yup, that is our fridge and stove in our living room. Haha, just remember the one word....crazy)
And lastly...here we are at the football game tonight. We went to watch uncle Cavin play football. The kids had fun on the jumpy castle, eating cookies, playing with their glow sticks and playing with Aunt Breann.

I got a good picture of Carter~!! YAY! Here he is in his school spirit shirt. (thanks Heather!)

Emma was helping Cody to cheer for the team. Can't you tell he is so thrilled by this experience. :o)
We have been having a fun summer with many other adventures, which most pictures are stuck on my phone that I am currently getting put on the computer, so maybe someday we will post all the other fun things we've been doing. For now, enjoy and I hope someday my kids will be able to appreciate this scrapbooking/blogging/journal to remember all the fun things and times! I love you Greg & kiddos!

Here is a walk down memory lane of the past 7 years of our wonderful marriage! I can't believe that it has been 7 years already. I remember like it was yesterday getting ready for the 'big' day and how giddy I was to be getting married. :o) Holy Cow, that was so much fun! I was so excited to start Greg's and I's life together. It has been 7 years filled of joy, love, tears, fun times, and so much more. I love Greg so much and I appreciate all that he does for me and for our family.
