We survived!

We survived...
1. being apart all summer long.
2. the sad goodbyes on Monday morning at 4 a.m.
3. all the trips to and from SLC.
4. 10 weeks not being home in our own house.
5. living with family.
6. the summer's heat.
7. rearranging our office for 2 hours just to move it all back to where we started from.
8. weeding our neglected desert yard.
9. 2 new church callings (Colten just got called as the Young Men's President.)
10. And I survived the first 2 days of school!

On Thursday night we when Colten got home from SLC for the last time we went to the Washington County Fair with my sister and her family. This is a picture of Colten and our nephew Braiden.

Braiden's favorite thing at the fair was of course the tractors.

The following night I got a couple free tickets to the Bull Riding at the fair so Colten and I went a little early and this is a picture of him with some Black Bears in the background. They were pretty cool because the guy with the exhibit had the bears doing all kinds of cool tricks like riding scooters and climbing ladders. It was pretty fun.

The Bull Riding

On Saturday we drove back up north to see our newest niece. Colten's brother and his wife had their second baby girl so we went over to their place to see new Baby Lina. She is adorable and so little.

Another picture of Lina while Colten is holding her.

July Happenings

We did a ton of fun things during the month of July. These pictures are mostly from the last part of the month starting with the 24th of July.

We ran the Fun Run in Enterprise on the 24th and this is Colten holding his 2nd place medal from his age group. :)

We always get to watch the annual Parade that goes down main street.

Colten's family all sang some old pioneer songs in the program following the parade.

We watched all the nieces and nephews on both sides of the family run in the races!

We went to the rodeos that take place in Enterprise as well. I grew up always going to the rodeo's and participated when I was younger. I think Colten didn't necessarily love going to the rodeo's all three nights but he was nice enough that he did go.

Colten and I also went for a ride on the horses one Saturday morning.

I guess now that July is definately over we have to get ready for school to start. I only have 3 more days until I have to go back. I am not excited but I am looking forward to having my husband back full time and getting back into a daily routine.
