Like totally a bodacious party!

A couple of weeks ago we got a baby sitter and went to an 80s Birthday Bash for a couple of our friends. Everyone dressed up in the best 80s attire and we had a 'totally wicked' time! Colten and I represented more of a rocker 80s type couple, mostly clothes thrown together to try to be an 80s look. The girls who threw the party did an awesome job with the decorating. They had popular food items from the 80s and lots of great 80s decorations.

This is me and my Axl Rose/Steven Tyler look-a-like husband!

Gnarly drinks and stuff!

Random Happenings

We have had a fun and eventful month of November, which I hope to get updated on the blog soon.
Starting with Colten finishing medical school anatomy! We survived and he did very very well, but we didn't expect anything less than that since Natalya and I left him alone for the first 4 weeks of it to "study his brains out"! I thought I would have seen less of him during the last 3 weeks of anatomy (due to needing to study) but life was pretty normal. He studied a lot, but he always studies a lot. He is pretty good at sitting by me on the couch while I watch a show and he pretends to watch but mostly he studying. However, when I missed something in the show or don't understand, he can always tell me what I missed or am confused about. How does he do that?! I thought only women were multi-taskers!

The best way to learn anatomy is to have a real skeleton sitting in our house for 7 weeks!

This hair-do is called the Palm Tree Pigtails!

One of my friends had some deer meat that their neighbors gave to them and she didn't know how to cook it up so we had them and another family over for venison dinner!

Cami was much more excited about cooking the deer meat than I was. Can you tell? It turned out yummy and was a fun evening.

Most every night we try to read Talya a bedtime story. She usually lasts about 4 pages into the book and then she is done and wants to climb over everything and play. But I did capture a nice moment with her and daddy reading a story.

Colten and Natalya during story time. Too cute!

A little help here...

This morning as I was making breakfast I asked Colten if he could help me out a little and feed Natalya her breakfast and this is what we got.

Thanks anyways for your attempt at helping out.

1 shy of a dozen

This is the last month my baby is a baby (I guess). After this month she'll be 1. I can't even believe how fast time has gone by. She is so much fun. We love her personality. We noticed she no longer likes to fly down the stairs with Daddy, she gets very scared. Everytime she sees her dad she'll say, 'Hi Da." It's so cute. Colten thinks he's pretty special because she won't say Mom on command. She also climbed up our stairs, twice yesterday. (We were right behind her both times) But now she thinks that is her favorite thing to do and she should get to do it all day. She pulls herself up to everything but is not walking, which she doesn't need because she gets to everything she wants by crawling or climbing.

Our "Beary" Happy Halloween

Yesterday (on Halloween) we flew back to Minnesota and got home just in time to go to some friends house for a little party and then trick-or-treating.

We stopped at the house really fast and this is what Talya and I found as we walked in. (Notice what the sign says. I think somebody missed us!)

All of the kids at the party dressed up.

What a cute little bear!

As we were Trick-or-Treating, we usually just stayed back on the sidewalk and didn't go up to the door but there was this one house with this cute little girl about 8 dressed up as a witch who saw Talya and ran out to us and said, "Does she want something? Does she like graham crackers?" And then she took off back into the house. While everyone else starts walking down the street we stayed there waiting for this little girl to come back. She then comes running out the door saying, "Wait! Wait!" She ran right up to Talya and handed her her very on bag of crackers! The only treat Talya got all night. :)
