Green Grasshoppers

The past few months I have been playing on a women's basketball team. I met a girl in my ward who played on this team but she was going to be gone for half of the season and somehow I became and full-time player. I had so much fun and am really glad I got to play and meet some new people.

Bonus... We were pretty darn good too. We entered the tournament undefeated and easily made our way to the championship game. Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking about basketball when a couple of months ago we booked flights to Orlando (Post to follow later) on Championship game night! But they managed to get the win (by 18 points or something-they obviously didn't need my help).

Cowgirl Up

When I was growing up, my family always had horses and we went riding all of the time. It makes me a little sad to think that my kids aren't going to get that for a long time. Hopefully enough trips to Grandpa's house will have to do.

Anyways, I am quite proud that my little girl has taken a liking to horses. She loves them! Anytime there is a horse around she has to have it or be riding it. Her favorite movie is Spirit. That is the only movie she shows any interest in.

(She sat on this horse for 20 minutes before venturing off to play with other toys)

A lady in our ward was giving away this big Radio Flyer horse so we snatched it up. As you can see, Natalya is still quite a bit too small for this horse but she wants to ride it all of the time.

She has a princess book that has a little horse on one page (her favorite page that we have to look at all of the time) and she will always point out the horse.

And this is her lugging around her big stuffed animal horse!

We love our little Cowgirl!!

Crazy or Just Plain Stupid?

You decide.

Colten and a bunch of radiologists participated in The Polar Bear Plunge. What is this? It is a an opportunity to raise funds for Special Olympics Minnesota. The concept is simple: Participants raise a minimum of $75 and take a dip into one of Minnesota's frozen lakes. How fun! really? I guess it was. All I know is Talya and I froze our butts off waiting for 30 minutes prior in 19 degree weather with a wind chill of 1 degree to watch this fun event!

Burrrr......

Yes that lake is frozen!

After jumping in, they get to hot tub to warm up.

Date Night

A group of couples from our ward decided to start a baby sitting co-op where we take turns watching each others kids 1 day a month and have 3 free days a month for a date night. So far it has been lots of fun and well worth the free baby sitting!

Last night we decided to go ice skating with one of the other couples. We had a blast. I felt like a young couple again, who are madly in love with each other (Actually, I guess that's still true). And today there are no bumps or bruises from falling, just a few sore muscles is all.
