Nebraska!

This is a picture with Uncle Vernon and Aunt Vera, Vernon is Grandma Ada's brother and this summer they will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary, how cool is that?! They are amazing and what an accomplishment.
This is a picture of one of the buffalo Morris has. They are amazing animals but they have to be respected at all times. We were in the van and this one came very close to the van, I think he wanted us to give him grain. Chas and some friends went in together and got four buffalo from my parents, they use them to train the horses with, and the two females are pregnant so we will be having baby buffaloes this summer.
Morris had a big bathtub and the boys were having a blast with the bubbles. Tariq is so photogenic!
Grandpa Bob (dad's dad)! It was so good to see him and get these pictures.
Last week Maranda, Tariq, the kids and I took a trip to Nebraska. It was a very last minute decision and mom helped us go. We hadn't been back there for a long time and we have a lot of family there, especially some grandmas and Grandpa Bob that had not seen Mark, Tariq or Tyler. We stayed with Uncle Morris and Leona and visited and relaxed and had a wonderful time! Uncle Morris has buffalo and a huge semi-truck that he uses to haul containers with and we took a ride in it one day, the kids had a lot of fun and the trailer that can pull the containers up is amazing. Morris let Macy push the buttons and she thought that was wonderful. We spent some time with Grandpa Bob and Macy sang I am a Child of God and You are my Sunshine, after much persuading. Macy loved playing with 2nd cousins that she hadn't met before and not that we are home she wants to go back so she can play. I wish we lived closer. It is such a wonderful thing to have family close. Hopefully, we can make the trip more often than every four years. Mark isn't a very good traveler, so the nine hour drive was a little rough, but on the way home we split it up and stopped in Lincoln at Jenny's house. It was wonderful to see her and visit the family more and it helped the kids with the drive.

A prayer for our dad

This is the first snow we have had this winter that you could really have fun in the snow. The kids were having a wonderful time. Chas showed them how to make snow angels and then they both made snow angels, Macy really liked it, Mark was loving laying in the snow kicking around his legs. Mark would run and laugh, I need to get the video camera out cause it's not the same without sounds sometimes. Sorry for they clothesline in the way, I was snapping these shots out the back door cause I was inside with Tyler.
I was on the phone the other day and all three kids were banging on the piano. I love it when they sit at the piano and they are so good to try include Tyler. When I'm practicing the hymns for Sunday they like to help and so I had to capture this moment of my sweethearts at the piano. I hope they continue to love the piano. I felt bad asking them to stop for a moment so that I could hear the person on the phone.
Macy got this bike from some friends that were very nice to give it to Macy. We don't have a very good spot at our house to learn how to ride a bike so we took her to the school parking lot. She had a wonderful time and Mark had a good time racing her. She didn't like that he could beat her, but we explained it wouldn't be long before she could go fast.
The other day I was watching Myles, Abby and Rachel. They are friends of Macy and Mark. I had them sitting at the table for lunch and Myles wanted to say the prayer, and Abby and Macy. So I said Myles could say it first and then Macy and then Abby. Myles said his prayer blessing the food then Macy said Abby could go first. Abby said a prayer that we could play nice with our friends. By then Rachel decides she would like to say a prayer and so Macy said she would help her. Macy told her to pray for our daddy's while they were at work. Rachel repeated. Macy told her to pray that our daddy's could come home safe and that we could take care of our daddy's. Rachel repeated everything just as told. Abby is getting hungry and sneaks a bite of food here and there while the others are praying. Mark is being very patient and waiting. So then I tell Macy it's her turn, even though she pretty much just had one. Well Mark decides he would like to say one and Macy said she would help him. He then decided he didn't want to. I told Macy it was finally her turn, She thought about it, got all ready and then said, "Mom, can't we JUST eat?" It was so funny. I said sure, that sounds wonderful, lets eat. But all in all I loved how much they were thinking about their dad's. I know they all love their dad's very much and enjoy spending time with them.
