Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband came home from work sick today. Chills, fever, achy, nausea etc... The stomach flu.

Around 3pm today I got a call from my Meg's teacher. Meghan had the chills, fever, achy, and felt like she was going to throw up. I picked up Meg from school. We got half way to our house and she threw up all over my brand new car!! It wasn't pretty. Poor Meghan is feeling awful. Poor me for having to clean it up.

I am running around like crazy taking care of my husband and daughter. It is one big mess at our house right now. It is not pretty!!!!

I hope and pray that I don't get this nasty stomach flu. I can deal with pain of any kind, but I cannot deal with the stomach flu. I am not good around throw up!!!

The joys of being a mother and a wife. Yes, it is pretty gross, but I wouldn't change it for the world : )

Colorado Living

Saturday was a beautiful day. I think the high was in the 60's!! We took a 3 mile walk along the river. The kids had a lot of fun playing by the river. Meg and Jourdan both saw a couple of friends from school. The dogs had a lot of fun on the walk. Dasher (The Chubby Beagle)loved playing in the river. He was having the best time!!!

My Kids' Names

Elena did a cool blog on how she picked out her kids names. I thought I would play along : )

First off, I don't spell my kids names the traditional way : )

Jourdan Dean - Dean is from Jourdan's grandfather. Jourdan is really not after anyone in paticular. I had a hard time picking out a boys name. One day, a cute little red head boy came into my work. He had to be about 1 years old. He was adorable. Anyhow, his name was Jourdan. That is how I got Jourdan Dean.

Meghan Gwendoline - Gwendoline is after my Mom. I have always loved the name Gwendoline, but didn't know how well it would work for a first name. I went back and forth the entire pregnancy with several names. Meghan (Meg for short), Hannah, Isabella and Jessica. When I had Meg I narrowed it down to two names. Meghan and Jessica. I pretty much just closed my eyes and picked because I loved both names.

Zackary Trusty - My entire pregnancy we decided we where going to name this little guy Dillon. I liked the name Dillon, but I didn't love it. I was just compromising with the hubby. Well, I started talking about the name Zackary with my hubby. He liked the name, but loved the name Dillon. After about 2 months of talking about the name Zackary, Dennis decided Zackary would be a cute little boy's name. Now we have our little Zack and we love the name! Trusty is my Mom's maiden name. I really wanted Zack's middle name to be after my Grandfather who past away when I was quite young. The problem was my grandfathers name was Archibald. I didn't really like the name Archibald, so I went with my Mom's Maiden name Trusty. I love, love the name Trusty! My Mom said her parents would be so happy to know that Zack's name middle name is Tursty (They passed away when I was young).

No More, I'm done!! Seriously!!

My surgery is finally over. The surgery wasn't as simple as my surgeon said it was going to be. Is it ever as simple as they say it will be? My surgery was only supposed to be 45 min to an hour. For some reason this surgery lasted well over 2 1/2 hours. I am not sure why it lasted so long because I didn't see the doctor when I woke up. The recovery room was plain awful. I was incredibly nauseated. The post op nurse gave me meds for the nausea and pain, but that made my oxygen and blood pressure fall quite a bit. So, out of know where a couple of nurses ran over to me yelling at me to breathe and throwing oxygen in my face. This lasted for a good hour. I was finally able to go home and the entire ride home I was fighting not to throw up in my new SUV. I spent a lot of the evening in the bathroom on the floor.

Pain.. The pain was hard. I was under the impression that this procedure wouldn't be too painful. I beg to differ. This was one of the most painful surgeries I have had. 3 days later I still can't raise my arm above my head. Thank goodness for pain meds!!

This will be my last surgery. Even if this surgery fails, I will not put myself through this again. I don't think my body can handle anymore surgeries. It has taken me a while to bounce back from this surgery. I hope to get my stitches out on Friday.

Thank you for all the prayers. I really appreciate it. I also want to thank Ruth for entertaining me in pre op. Ruth really knows how to pass the time!

Our Goal

Dennis and I have made a goal that we will climb to the top of this mountain by the end of summer! There is a trail that goes to the top of the mountain. I think we can do it, or at least I hope we can.

Surgery # 15

On January 13th I told you all that the last surgery I had would be my last. Well, I guess it was wishful thinking. I have to go back in for surgery on March 19th. This surgery will only take 1 1/2 hours. The pain should not be as severe as the other surgeries I've had. It will be the same drill as last time. I will stay with my Mom in Colorado Springs for my surgery. Once the recovery period is over I will be back up in Glenwood.

Do I dare say this will be my last reconstruction??? I think I'll just wait and see.
