I hope everyone had a great Christmas I know we did. This was our 1st year to be able to stay home all day on Christmas and we loved it. We had to go to Aunt Phil's house that night so we had plenty of time to play with everything. Colby had a great one as you can see. This kid is SPOILED!!! Can you tell??? But we wouldn't have it any other way. I am sooooo lucky to have such a wonderful hubby, a great son and family. We hope you all have a very Happy New Year!

He was sooo excited to get his Nike Shox!! He has worn them everyday and if he gets anything on them he has to clean them asap!!

Here is squirt in here new shoes ans hoodie!! Her feet get cold when we walk her so we bought her some shoes that match her hoodie!

The night of Paw-Paw's funeral home Colby's cousin Connor came home with us b/c we would be back in Warrior the next day for the funeral. He ended up spending Thursday, Friday & Saturday night with us and we all had a blast. The boys don't get to spend much time together and when they do it is usually only a few hours. The only argued a few times for a minute or so and we back to playing.

That Saturday Chris took the steps out of the pool so we could get it ready to close for the winter and they begged to go swimming. The water was FREEZING!!!!!!!!!! They both of course jumped right in and wanted to stay in but we made them get out after a minute or so. We really didn't think they would do it b/c we told them that they would have to swim in their undies which of course did not bother them at all as you can tell!!!!

I know this was last month but I have not had a lot of time to really post these pictures. Chris & I decided to take Colby to the State Fair on the 28th. Colby has never been to the fair before so we thought what the heck we wanted to see if it would be fun and we had a great time. We walked around for maybe 5 seconds before Colby was ready to get on some rides! We rode a few rides, went to see all of the animals and watched the motorcycle stunt show from the parking lot and if I do say so myself 2 out of the 3 guys did a great job. Colby was loving every minute it! He was scared to death to get on the Ferris wheel but we talked him into it and he loved it!

My Nana took us to eat for my birthday dinner at Sumo. Colby had never been before and I have been wanting Sushi for a while so we went to Sumo. We had a great time, the chef threw rice and the 1st time it his Colby on the forehead but the 2nd he caught it in his mouth, then he threw him a shrimp and he caught that to. He was so funny trying to use the chop sticks! Thank you Nana for a wonderful time!

Colby's team had their 1st Soccer game on Saturday and they did really well together. Colby played a few different positions in this game. He played defender, Striker which is his favorite b/c he loves to be in control of the ball and score goals, and then he played goalie. He did a great job at all three but I think he likes striker the beats b/c he likes to be in control of the ball and score goals... The final score was 2-2! It was a great game!

First off I want to say that I think I have the BEST husband in the world!! I could have never asked for anyone who loves me more than Chris!! He is such a great husband and daddy and he does so much for us. I love you baby!!
Last week Chris kept me busy as a bee working on our house with him. For the past few months we have been remodeling our house and it has been a DISASTER!!!! We worked on it all week and Friday I cleaned all day b/c I thought Chunk & Katie were coming over but come to find out Chris had planned me a surprise "30th" B-day Party!! If you know Chris you know how hard it is for him to keep a surprise he usually gives in and will tell, but he didn't & I had NO IDEA that he had planned this. My Birthday is the 25th and Chris wanted to do it before my birthday so he had it Saturday night. We took Colby to stay with Chris's mom and on our way back Chris told me he was taking me to a romantic place so he had to blind fold me!!! We ended up going back to our house and he had people waiting on us. at our house! I have such a wonderful husband and such great friends!! I had such a great time hanging out with all of our friends. Thanks Christie, Chris, Misty & Jerry for helping him pull it off i had a blast!

Today the school had a fundraiser called the Boosterthon Fun Run. The kids had to run/walk 1/16th of mile . The most laps they could run was 35. Well of course Colby ran most of his and only walked a few. He ended up with 37 laps total. As you can see by Colby's wet head it was very hot and he was wet as can be from sweat, yuck! All of the kids had so much fun the people that did the Fun Run were running, dancing & marching around with the kids. They played music as they made the laps around the course.

Yes I only got 1 picture of him his 1st day and I was very lucky to get that. He did not want me to take his picture that day for anything... Can you tell??? Our baby is not a baby anymore, he is getting so big. Chris & I both took him to school his first day and he said "Mommy you can go ahead and give me a kiss if you want to". We were not even out of the driveway yet!!!!! I said "are you embarrassed to give me a kiss when we get to school or something"?? he said "well no I just thought you could go ahead and give me one now b/c I know you have to hurry to work"... Little stinker was trying to be nice about it but he didn't want his friends to see me giving him a kiss. Little stinker!!! He did end up giving me a kiss before he went into the school. His teacher is Mrs. Ragland and she is soooo sweet and we are very grateful he got in her class this year. He had a great day so I pray that this year goes well for him and he enjoys himself this school year and learns lots of things.

This is what we have been doing the past 2 weekends. Chris & I started last Saturday and finished yesterday. I think it turned out really well. We tiled the floor painted the ceiling and painted to trim. Now all we left to do is put the counter tops in, paint the cabinets, finish painting the trim, put our oven in & hang the crown molding. It shouldn't take to much longer but we are doing 1 room at a time. We still have to finish our bathroom, the hall bath and the den. Plus carpet the entire house. We wanted to do hardwood in the den & hall so if anyone know where we can find a good deal PLEASE let us know... Here are a few pictures of before, during & after.

These are just a few pictures from one night that Conner & Drennan were at the house. They had a blast as you can tell. Those boys are always so funny to watch.
