Some of you may or may not know that my mom is getting a biopsy done this coming Wednesday..  She had noticed that one of her lymph nodes were swollen and she and her Oncologist thought it was just scar tissue from when they removed one last year.  Well it had gotten larger so he sent her to get some tests done.  The Dr. she was sent to did a x-ray only (why they didn't do anything else like a biopsy I don't know.  We got the results back on Tuesday and the surgeon said that she saw something there that was not there before (DUH!!!) and that she wanted to get a biopsy on Wednesday.  That all happened around 12 and we saw her Oncologist around 1:30.  He told us that he was 99.9% sure that the cancer was back...  Not the news we wanted obviously.  He told us that the cancer she has which is small cell is very treatable but not curable.  he said that she could do just like last time have her chemo & radiation and be clear for a while and then it come back or she could be clear for years...  He is starting her chemo back week after next once a week for about 2 hours and see how it goes from there.  please just keep us all in your prayer during this time.  Pray that our mom will have the same attitude she did the first go round and that things go good.
