The middle school student council advisor was not able to attend the state convention and asked that Adrian and I chaperone in her place. Considering that the state convention took place at the Kalahari, of course we said yes! It was a great group of kids and we had so much fun with them. Plus Adalynn was able to join us! Mary actually came and picked her up for the first day for a day of fun in the Dells and then she joined us that evening for the rest of it.
Adalynn's gymnastics gym has a second meet in the spring each year. Adalynn did fantastic! She got all blue ribbons and took first overall! So incredibly proud of this kid. Gymnastics is definitely her thing!
Mackenzie is THIRTEEN! I officially have a teenager! That is just so crazy to me. Mackenzie got to enjoy multiple celebrations. She had two of her friends over for a fun celebration after they spent the day playing spring volleyball. Then on Sunday we had yummy dinner and cake. Then Monday she had to go to school on her birthday! We are so happy to have Mackenzie in our family. She is a sweetheart and so much fun!
Mackenzie was able to participate in solo and ensemble this year. She decided to do a solo, a duet with her friend Kianna, and a clarinet solo. She did such a great job! I love watching her perform.
I absolutely love our annual Valentines Day dinner. We busted out the fancy China and enjoyed some our very favorite foods. In fact, we had so much food we couldn't even eat everything we made!
Adalynn had a gymnastics meet down in Marshfield and once again she totally rocked it! She got first place in beam and vault, second place in bars, and FIRST overall! She also got the judge's choice award of Most Powerful Vault. She is loving gymnastics and doing so well!
Adalynn is TEN!!! She has reached the double digits! It feels like just yesterday I was holding a teeny tiny baby in my arms. Adalynn's birthday was on a Friday. We celebrated with a family celebration. She opened some gifts from us and we had dinner together.
