The Little Things

Shayla calls this "The Carter Dance". I could be bias but we think she has some great dancing skills!

We went to the Zoo a couple of weeks ago. Shayla's favorite animal was the Zebra's (although we didn't see any at the zoo) but Zebra's are in her Zoo book at home. She also liked the penguins. Carter loved watching the monkeys (we did see those), and the baby chicks. The weather was great, not to hot. I recommend going in the spring time. Both of the kids were excited to go on the train but the train ride only lasted a couple of minutes and you have to pay extra for it. The train ride at lagoon last longer than the zoo train, I shouldn't complain the kids didn't care they were just excited to go on it. Carter was not happy when we got off the train, he kept pointing and crying.

Can I just say, The Sunshine is Great! So, we had a great Easter. We went up to Malad to see my parents and had an Easter Egg Hunt. They have a big yard and so it was a great place to have an egg hunt. Right after dinner my brother was playing with Shayla when he dislocated her elbow. For those of you that don't know, this happens to Shayla often. When it happens Dale usually is able to put it back in. It was happening to her so often that the Doctor finally showed us how to put it back in to it's socket. The older she is getting the more painful it seems to be. So needless to say she didn't go on the Easter egg hunt and she wouldn't even open her present.
Carter loved the egg hunts. He was very excited about the candy and kept asking for more. My mom gave him this thing that spins and light up when you push the button and he loved it. After the egg hunt we went to this little candy store. It was a very old building with this little man inside who might have been as old as the building. When all the kids came in he gave them a bag to fill up with candy. They even had penny candy! I think Carter was in heaven, he had three suckers before we even left the store. He kept pointing at all of the candy. Shayla wouldn't use her arm so we helped her fill her bag. She finally started feeling better the next day around 4:00 but it did put a damper on the Easter festivities. However, Shayla and Carter both looked very cute in their easter outfits.
