In Shayla's words:
Today preschool was great but I didn't know what to say.  So I thought of an idea of what to say to my teacher.  In the back class I told my teacher that if you see shoes like mine that sparkle that means they are twinkle toes.  They were so soft on my feet.  I loved my first day of school.  I met a new girl at school named Brynn. I played with her for the whole day.  I sat next to her and said "Do you want to be my friend?" and she said "yes". In the middle classroom I said to my friend "What is your name?" she said "My name is Brynn" and then I said "My name is Shayla".  There was another boy I knew from last year his name was Jaxon.  I went to school with Parker, my cousin.  It seemed like my new friend was my old friend.  Thats all.

This is Shayla the night before preschool.  I had to work on her first day so I tried to get her ready as much as possible. Daddy gave her a special blessing before going to bed.  Then we read the "Kissing Hand", I love this book.  We kissed her hand and then she kissed ours just in case she missed us while she was gone.  She was so excited to go.

Summer of 2010

Summer is coming to fast end.  I went back to work this week and Shayla starts in a week.  We had such a great summer!  My kids are at great ages right now to go and do fun things and we had so much fun together.  Carter was a little bit more of a dare devil and tried a lot of new things.  Shayla has discovered her love for swimming and constantly wants to be in the swimming pool. They both grew up this summer and we are ready for a very busy school year.
Shayla started ballet with Cambrie and couldn't be happier with her class.  She loves to dance! She is attending the ClytieAdams School of Ballet in Kaysville. Her teacher is Ms. Anne and she loves her.  She has a lot of anxeity about starting preschool with a new teacher.  She wants teacher Cambria again.  We have meet the teacher next week and I am hoping this will help.

Carter started doing #2 in the toilet and for any mom who has potty trained before will know what an accomplishment this is. He also learned how to pump a himself on a swing. He can keep it going for a little while. We also got him a new big boy bike because he constantly wanted to be on Shayla's. He likes it but is still trying to figure out the pedaling and braking system. During the summer one of his favorite things to do is watch a movie with popcorn and a drink (sprite or rootbeer).

Flaming Gorge Camping Trip

We went to Flaming Gorge over the weekend with Dale's family.  It was so much fun and I am not much of a camper but we had a great time.  We went boating, swimming and fishing.  Carter loved playing in the dirt and having freedom to roam and do what he wanted.  He attatched to Grandpa and Aunt Chalese.  He had to be on Grandpa's boat.  Shayla loved being with her cousins and Aunt Chauntel.  My kids were spoiled with love and junk food. I think it is my new favorite camping place.  In the morning we didn't have to wear hoodies it was already warm.  It rained here and there and it didn't bother me.  I usually hate rain when I am camping because it makes everything so dirty.  Shayla learned how to cast her fishing pole all by herself and even caught a fish.  Carter caught a fish with the help of Daddy and he was so excited.

Last day of Camping we all look very tired but this was our home for 3 days.

Carter was playing in the dirt everytime I turned around he loved it!  He was covered from head to toe.

His face was dirty the entire camping trip it made me laugh because I was constantly wiping him.

Shayla finally caught a fish after she had caught a bunch of seaweed.

Carter was reeling in his fishing pole, his favorite thing to do.

Shayla also played in the dirt but mananged to not get filthy like Carter.

Shayla loved swimming in Flaming Gorge and she was so brave.  She would giggle the whole time she was in the water.

Tyson, Shayla and Dale swam over to the rock area, Dale and Tyson did some Cliff jumping.

Carter was in heaven he had Baily the dog and Grandpa on the boat with him

He was Grandpa's little helper by driving the boat.
