Memorial Day Weekend

When went to Canyon Lake Saturday afternoon until dusk.  I don't ever remember being cold in AZ on memorial day.  But there is a first for all things.  The kids all tubed or wake boarded and froze themselves to the core.  They were literally blue and frozen.  I like the water a lot warmer.  So I didn't even put my big toe in. But I am not complaining, having some cool weather on Memorial Day was a huge blessing!
Annie got to drive on her dad's lap for awhile.  A highlight for all kids!
Annie trying to warm up after she wake boarded.
Katie and Jessie didn't get in the water they kept warm under the only dry towel on the boat!
Braden Shumway wake boarding.  He remembered from last summer and did awesome!

I took a few awesome shot of James with the sun coming though!

Even with the water frigidly cold for Arizona, (It might be summer water in other places around the country) Annie got in and got right up and did awesome.  I love sitting on the boat and cheery my kids on. Taking pictures of them is one of my favorite things to do.

Another favorite.. James always helps Annie get the board on.  It just warms my heart.  He is so tender with her. The greatest compliment in life will be if my children loves each other when they are grown.  I pray that will continue and grow!
My son is Buff!  That is all I have to say.
Annie and Hannah with their sweet friend Ali.  She is a gift to Annie.  Unfortunately she is moving this summer to Oklahoma.  Sad for us.
James highlight: he drove the truck and pulled the boat out of the water.  Next time Grant is going to teach him to park the trailer and back in the boat.  That will be a blessing to me...not to have to drive anything!

Big Day for Gilbert, Arizona!

So much excitement around here.  Everyone has been waiting for the Angel Moroni to be put in place on top of the Temple.  We came for FHE because we heard it was going on that night.  But then the word was the next day and 1pm.
Talk about craziness!  Everyone had the same idea to get their children out of school for the event.  The roads, parks, empty lots had cars and people all over.  We crazy mormons all wanted a peek at Angel Moroni being placed on top of the Tempe.
Hannah is in her swim suit because we were going swimming and then i made a change in our plans and came here.

I ran into James with a few friends, Steel, James and Kade.
Niki and her children showed up too.  We all went swimming afterwards.
Our cousins!
We are all excited for next year when the Gilbert Tempe opens.  It is huge and you can see it from all directions.  It is a huge blessing already.

Katie's new job!

Katie is working at a dentist office and gets to wear scrubs. She is happy to be working and moving toward  her goal to be a dental hygienists.  Grandma Dayley asked her if she know CPR because if you wear scrubs and there is an emergency you might be called upon to help save a life.  All true...she better learn CPR!

Niki Coon's surprise birthday party

Niki Coon had a surprise 40th birthday party.  She loves the 80's so that was the theme!  Most of her guests came dressed in 80's attire. We played 80's music and had Ruben's taco shop cater the party.  Niki was surprised and the smile on her face showed what a perfect party it was. Katie thought she looked like a clown, Annie and Hannah loved their hair and makeup!  To be little and wear makeup is the best!

Mothers Day 2012

My mom is one of those woman that everyone likes.  I will run into someone and when they find out Linda Dayley is my mother they all say, "Linda is your mom, I love her.  When I was sick she brought over hot homemade bread. Her example of service  has been an influence to me. She loves her family.  Her grandchildren all 16 of them are her priority.  She has taught or is currently teaching all her grandchildren piano lessons. When we are not able to bring the kids to her house she comes to our individual homes and teaches them. The kids love having her individual attention.
Mom with her 2 girls: Jennifer and Jill
We had grandma and grandpa over for dinner.  Jen and I put on dinner for our families.  It was so fun to sit over the dinner table and visit and catch up.
Hannah is 5! A smart 5 year old is she.  She will be going to kindergarden this fall. She and I do homeschool each day.  We practice Math, ABC's, ride bikes, do Jillian Michaels DVD, crafts, cooking.  Really anything we do I say is our home school activities.  She is delightful to be with.  Her vocabulary is advanced and she is quite funny.  I have truly enjoyed everyone of my children.  I am a bit sad about my last child going to school.
Annie girl is 9 and finishing up 4th grade.  I moved to Arizona when I was finished 4th grade.  Annie is such a nurturing girl.  She LOVES babies.  She is always holding them, looking at them or playing them.  Kinda reminds me of myself.. She can not wait to be a babysitter.  Probably 1 more year.  Annie is a great athlete.  She runs really fast, climbs trees, plays soccer, dances, and has a talent with making friends.
James gets his driving permit in 3 weeks. That is such an exciting time in a teenagers life.  He better work really hard this summer and get the eagle scout project organized and complete!  James is one of those young man you can trust and count on.  He works really hard at school-straight A's, sports, lifting weighs, eating healthy, mowing lawns, and doing his church duties.  He has all sisters but it doesn't seem to bother him at all.  Annie can wrestle and run just like a little brother.  Great things are in store for this young man of mine.
Katie's life is the one that has changed the most in our family.  Graduate high school & finished her first year at BYU-I. She is home for the summer.  She is studying to be a dental hygienist. Today was her first day at her new job working in a dental office. She is the front desk receptionist. So many options and blessing coming her way.  She has lots of excitement coming her way.  I love her and am so happy she is home.  Our family feels complete again.
After dinner the kids had me put on my pi's and robe... I was going to get a massage from them.  They are all really good.  I felt so loved yesterday. I felt so appreciated.  I woke to breakfast( steel cut oats and a green smoothie).  Then I was sent on a treasure hunt.  First to my closet to find the gold.  Annie had made a little cave in art class and that is where my gold earrings were hiding.  The next note said to go to get my picture taken. (Annie wrote the clues in her cute  handwriting with a poem).  I went to where my camera was and looked inside my case and there was my new camera lens that I have been wanting.  I was thrilled!! I love my family.  Heavenly Father has blessed me with a great life.  I am happy they are mine forever.

I am so relaxed and having a great time.

Let's Play Music recital.

This year has gone by so fast!  Hannah finished her first year in Let's play music!  What a talent teacher she has!  Mrs. Ros is awesome and so enthusiastic!  Hannah loved all that she learned.  Now on to the second year!

End of the year dance recital!

Annie is  9 years old and Hannah is 5year old.  They both love to dance.  Annie loves to move her body to anything fast, Hip hop! Hannah loves to be elegant, she loves ballet!  They had their recital and it was a fun time!
The favorite part for both girls was putting on makeup especially mascara!  They both have beautiful eyelashes.
