Annie got what looks like an egg whisk, really is a head scratcher!  It feels crazy good!
Colton and James throwing Tate to see if he could fly!
Sam loved his new nerd glasses. He is wearing them to school the next day for "Nerd day"
Jenny and some new boy socks!  SCORE!
Lee and Gage going to hit QT for a refreshment!
Just plain cousin FUN! We were missing Greg's crew, (Chandler, Dawson, Morgan and Porter)

Oldest to youngest, missing of course our Katie who is on her mission in Uruguay! She is the oldest of all the cousins. Hannah is the youngest!

 Grandpa Dayley and Grant Coon
To start the night off we ate dinner. Mom and Dad served lasagna, breadsticks, salad and a fresh jello. After dinner we had a piano recital then played our gift exchange game, then we took some action/fun pictures. The best part of getting together is the cousins. They all love each other and like to be together. That is what family is all about!

Happy 17th birthday James

James is now 17! He has accomplished so much this year. Here is a few things he has done in 2013:
 Started to shave!
Road motorcycles in Moab Utah with his Dad and Uncle Rob. This picture is a little nerve racking. There is nothing underneath them... just a huge drop of 1200ft.
 Skeet shooting with cousins.
James nickname is dead eye James
Race car driving in Button willow California
His all time favorite wake boarding
Fishing in Alaska with his dad.

Go-cart racing with his uncles and cousins.
Gained 10 pounds in one week. The best vacation he has ever been on. There was a chef that cooked the whole week. James never stopped eating!  Loved all the food.
Catching Halibut and Salmon.
Brought home lots of fish for me to cook.
He is a fun brother. Keeps these girls laughing, running, and squealing.
Went Skiing in Utah at Snowboard
Skied all day with his cousin Ryan!
 Mormon Prom with Alicia
 Buzzed his head
 Went to Oceanside, CA.

Had a photo shoot on the hotel bed
Has a lot of girl cousins.
Is the most like his sister Annie. Great friends!
 Oceanside, CA
playing on the beach.
Making a super cool video of our trip.
Never, ever fall asleep on a fishing boat with your cousins.
This is what you will wake up with in your mouth.

James has been a happy, fun, hardworking, valiant, entertaining son. I asked what his best birthday has been or one he remembers the most. He said, "all his football parties". Every year he would invite lots of boys to his party. We would go to the park and they would play football. I would make a chocolate sheet cake, put toy motorcycles on the cake and call it a motorcycle cake! He has always been easy, content and just happy. He has been picky his whole life with...shoes!  But I can't complain!

17 years ago today I held my sweet little baby boy. It was snowy and cold outside in SLC Utah. I opened my window curtains and watched to snow quietly fall to the ground. It was so peaceful. I thanked Heavenly Father for sending me this beautiful baby boy. He has been a blessing to our family. A great example of a righteous young man who has a testimony and wants to keep Heavenly Fathers commandments.  I love you son.

Thanksgiving in Highland Utah

To start off our fun weekend for Thanksgiving the men played a competitive game of touch football.
The brothers, Rob and Matt, trying to bring back their youthful glory days.
This is the play where James was dodging everyone including me sitting on the side lines.
Battle wounds from slipping on the sidewalk with his cleats. Not a good combination.

Pauls face! One determined uncle! He is SO competitive!
Spencer not letting Brig pass him.

What is a football game with out CUTE cheerleaders!

Paul and Melissa have to "Party House" of the family. Not only do they have a huge house with a basement dedicated to fun. Air hockey, ping pong, pool table, video games, weigh set. The outside is a kids dream. Sports court, trampoline, swing set, green machine. The list goes on... the yard is also perfect for a football game. We are thankful they are so willing to host all the fun in Utah. The cousins all love to be together and played every minute.
Hannah- almost 7 yrs on January 11th.
 Annie-11
Alice is 2 weeks away from being 16!! Sophomore at Highland High.
This is the green machine my girls are wanting for Christmas.
Jolynn - 9, darling little gymnast!

Look at that flawless, beautiful skin!
Here is the football gang! Most of the boys!
I gave Annie the camera and most of these picture came from her and Abby!
After the football game came the feast at the church. (Lf to Rt)
Rusty, Isaac, Hannah, Gloria, Preston, and Riley
Brigham, Carson, James, Elizabeth, Alice, Ryan
Miriam, Abby, Tyler, Kaylee, Annie, Jessie, Jolynn
Chelsea, Lylah, Spencer, Ron, Debbie, John, Kristi
Melissa, Logan, Paul, Matt, Jay, Joe
 Natalie, Brenda, Brett, Rich, Allison
 Grant and Jill
The newest member of the family, Logan Coon
 After the Thanksgiving feast:
We broke out the music and had a dance party, then a wild game of musical chairs.
This family is competitive and all about fun!
Grant swung all the girls over his head. He was the dad every girl wanted to dance with.
 Miria and Abby
 Hannah and myself
 Kristi asked James to dance.

The next day was Friday. We met at the park and instead of sledding because there was no snow, we had a serious game of kick ball! I didn't take pictures because they "needed" me to play. Every fly ball that came to be bounced out of my arms. Finally, I caught the last air ball and it didn't bounce out of my arms!  I held on tight. James was on the other team. Our only goal was to keep the ball away from him> unfortunately it didn't matter, he was all over the field. Catching every ball!!
On Saturday we went to the movie "frozen", went to Mr. Mac and bought Grant and James new suits. Went to lunch at our traditional place, "The Lion House" restaurant. We saw the Salt Lake temple lights, along with thousands of other people.
Overall, Thanksgiving was a success!
We missed our missionaries:
Hermana Katie Coon- serving in Montevideo Uruguay
Sister Tiffany Coon- serving in Eugene Oregon
