The Cooley Family

Christmas Day is a busy day for us with all the places we go, 1st we wake up EARLY (like 5:00) my mom usually comes down to our house to see what the kids got from Santa, we open presents at our house, then we go up to my parents house and open presents, then we go back home and get ready and head into my Grandma J's house and eat breakfast and open presents, last we go to my Grandma G's house and open more presents. (All this is done by like 9:00 or 10:00 in the morning) so we go home and play with all our new gadgets and toys we got and maybe take a nap. Sometimes that night we go back to my parents house and eat dinner! It is a fun but exhausting day but we love it, we are blessed to live close to most of our family and I love spending time with them especially around the holidays!

Every year on Christmas Eve we get together with Frank's family and celebrate! This year we went to Minersville to Adrienne and Gus house and visited, ate, and opened presents! It also has been a tradition to open up Christmas Eve pj' and this year on my side of the family we ordered all the grandkids matching pj's with their names on them, so that was kind of fun!

We weren't going to get another dog, but someone in our neighborhood had Basset Hound puppies they were giving away, so we thought we would surprise the kids with a new puppy, so we went and looked at them and to pick one out! They were so cute, so we picked out one and brought it home and we named her Marlee and boy is she like the dog on "Marley and Me" We maybe should have named her something else. She is a cute dog but doesn't look like a Basset Hound! She is a pain in the butt most of the time! She always barked and my poor neighbors, so we went and bought a bark collar and it has been so much better because her bark was definatley (sp?) a hound bark which is very annoying and she would never let up! So it is much better now!

Whitnie and Weylin on their baptism day Dec 2010. I can't believe they are already 8 years old, where does the time go, it seems like yesterday they were just babies. We are so proud of them for getting baptized!

Whitnie and Weylin had a friend and cousin birthday party this year and it was very crazy with all those kids. They had fun and got a lot of fun things. We sis a cupcake party and they all got to decorate their own cupcakes, I made cupcakes in ice cream cones. All I can say is that I am glad I only do friend parties every other year! I am still trying to figure out what will be the best as far as friend and cousin parties!

Whitnie and Weylin were both pirates for Halloween and they looked so cute! I have always wanted to have them dressed similar for Halloween and they never wanted to or liked what I picked so fianlly this year they agreed with me. Also, their cousins Masen, Brody, Alex, and Lyndsie came and we went trick or treating in our neighborhood.

A good friend of mine took these awesome pictures of Whitnie and Weylin for their baptism, here are a few of my favorites, she did such an awesome job, they turned out so cute! I just can't believe that they are already 8, time goes by so fast! We love you Whitnie and Weylin and are so happy you chose to be baptized.

Well, it has been a while since I last posted pictures on my blog! So here are quite a few pictures of what we have done over the last few months. Weylin played machine pitch baseball this summer and he had a great time, he also played flag football which I think he liked more that baseball. Whitnie and Weylin took swimming lessons at SUU and they loved it! We surprised them with a trip to Disneyland! We bought the tickets back in March and kept it a secret all the way until we got to the motel room in Anaheim CA...they weren't as surprised as I thought they would be...I thought they would be jumping and screaming because they were so excited but they just smiled and then they got a little more excited after I said "that's it". We spent the 1st day at California Adventure Park and they really didn't like much there! We watched the Bug's Life 3D movie and I think it is the cutest thing, but they did not like it at all especially the BIG black widows that came from the ceiling, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time, we tried to get them to go on the Tower of Terror but they wouldn't, Whitnie and I went on the California Screamin and I liked it but she didn't and Weylin wouldn't go on it because it went upside down, I kept trying to tell him that he wouldn't even feel it because you go so fast, but still the answer was NO! The next 2 days we went to Disneyland and they loved that, I learned my lesson to not tell them what the ride was about because then they wouldn't want to go on them, Weylin favorite ride was splash mountain and Whitnie's favorite ride was thunder mountain railroad! We also shopped in Downtown Disney which was fun, we went into the Build a Bear Workshop and I let them pick out a stuffed animal to build, they had a good time doing that! All in all we had a fun family vacation to Disneyland, can't wait to go again in a couple years! I will try not to let my blog go to far behind before I update!
