This last Wednesday morning...I was in a chipper mood to start the day with my students (I really have great kids this year). I was heading down the commons and completely slid down one of the ramps in the commons and fell! I looked and saw some of my students say "Ms. Moore are you okay?" I replied "I just fell, that was embarrassing." A fellow teacher comes up and says to me "Can I help you, good thing you didn't hurt your ankle." My response "My ankle, good thing I didn't break the heel on my boots." He just looked at me kind of funny...I don't think he understood me:) Needless to say my right knee has been in constant pain since then and I think today is the first day its not throbbing. I've decided I will avoid the ramps in the commons at all costs from now on!

We've Moved...
For many years I have had a real estate company email me updates on newly listed homes. Everyday I would look and see what was out there in the area we were interested in. This past fall we fell in love with a house only 5 minutes away from our current house. It had lots of potential for Dennis's future plans as well as all of the room we were looking for. A few days later we put in an offer and as they say the rest is history. At the beginning of this month we finally moved in. We still have a few things to get out of our old house (Parker's outside toys, hot tub and the stuff in the shed) before it is officially ready for renters. But for the most part we are nicely settled into our new home and are enjoying every minute of it. I can't wait to start entertaining!!!

Fun in School...
I'm curretly sitting in a workshop that has to deal with Writing and Technology. While playing around today we were introduced to some wonderful sites. One of my favorite was Tagxedo. Check out what I created, it represents all of the words that make me think of Parker. This is a great way to build your childs vocabulary. Check it out, its fun and super easy to use. http://www.tagxedo.com/

Summer is Approaching!
It is that time of the school year where summer vacation is in the air! We are on the countdown and it is so close I can nearly taste it. Although I have so much work still to do at work, I welcome knowing the break is nearing. I can hardly wait for the days of no alarm clock, pajamas until noon, lazy days at the lake, library story time, BBQ's as a daily ritual, and most imporatantly family adventures. Oh, summer break please hurry up and get here...I have missed you so:)

One Big Tumble!
Tuesday morning started out as any other morning. Shower, coffee, hair, make-up, get Parker ready for day care and out the door. I was wearing a cute dress and even cuter shoes. With my arms loaded with my purse, lunch, school bag and coffee. Parker and I were off! Out of no where (and I mean out of no where) I tripped, tumble and flew down the front steps of our porch. The purse, lunch, school bag and coffee all went flying in every direction. Parker stood over me looking down saying "Uh-Oh" with his arms wide open. I did the first thing any sane person would do, save the coffee, and then rush into the house to yell at my husband to help me. While he grabbed the ointment and washcloth I picked dirt out from between my toes. This is not at all how I wanted to start this day. After quickly brushing off and picking up my belongings we headed on our way out the door. Right now I have many cuts and bruises all over both of my legs and feel like the kid who is learning how to ride their bike with all of the battle wounds to prove it. I am healing slowly and nicely and hope to be back to normal by early next week.
