Until we meet again...

As some of you may know, my Papou (Greek for Grandfather) passed away this past week. I'm not going to write much. Not because he doesn't deserve a novel, but because I can't write more than a paragraph without my eyes turning into Niagra Falls. I just want him to know how much I love him and appreciate all that he did for me while he was here. My life will never completely be the same without him. But I know that no matter how hard it will be, it was worth every moment that I was able to spend with him. I love you so much Grandpa. You will always be in my heart, my thoughts, and my prayers.

Post V-Day Blog

Ok, it's been a while. I knew I wouldn't be great at this blog thing, but I didn't think I'd be this bad. But here it goes anyway. :)

Well, it's Thursday and Valentine's Day was close to a week ago now. But I still wanted to write about my amazing boyfriend. I never brag, as I hate when people "toot their own horns." However, Corby deserves me gushing about him because he is truly such an amazing person and I'm so lucky.

Saturday was amazing. He took the day off and we were supposed to spend the day sledding. Unfortunately, the weather got in the way and we ended up spending it at the mall. We got a lot of cute outfits though! Corby had gotten us reservations at Tsunami, which is our favorite sushi place. We went there on our 3rd date, and have gone on important events ever since. Anyway, I won't go into detail about the date... but it was perfect. Perfect food, perfect service, perfect conversation, and perfect company.

Mainly, I just want to thank him for giving me the opportunity to really understand what true love is, and should be. I've never been treated so well and I continue to fall more deeply in love every single day. He is my rock, my life, my soul... and he knows just what to say or do to put an immediate smile on my face or force me into a hyperventilating laugh.

I hope the rest of you had just as amazing of a Valentine's Day as I did. I hope you were able to spend it with your loved ones, or a potential "loved one." ;)

Until next time,
Crystal

So grateful...

I just want to take a quick minute to tell my friends and family how incredibly lucky I am to have you in my life. I am truly blessed.

Last night, I got a call from Corby saying that he had gotten in an accident at work. He slid off a roof while installing a dish and fell to the ground, slicing his head open and injuring his wrist and foot.

Not but a few hours later, I get a call to find out that my Grandpa is back in the hospital. He had surgery last week and now has pneumonia. I am very close with him, so of course, I'm extremely worried about his well-being.

It's been an emotional two days for me. I know things could have been a lot worse, and thank God they aren't. But it struck me to write to tell each and every one of you that you are important. And also to not take life too seriously... enjoy every moment with every person that is special to you.

Corby and my Grandpa are both doing better. I wish them both a quick recovery and I want to tell them that I love them with all my heart.

Jumpin' on the "Blogwagon!"

Ahhh... the wonderful world of blogging.

To be honest, I don't even know what I'm doing, and Corby thinks blogging is for people with tape around their glasses and pocket-protectors (but in my defense, I don't think he really knows what blogging is... because I'm now an official blogger, and I'm still cool).

Basically, I joined this keep-in-touch-brag-about-ourselves-friendship-cyberworld because I got increasingly jealous of looking at my friends uber-creative pages about their lives. Believe it or not I was once creative, yet the older I get, the more faint my skills become. So if I beg you to tell me how you did this or did that, just bare with me. I'll repay you... in cyberlove.

Well, I think I'll get used to this over time, but for now I'm cutting this one short. So thank you for reading and I hope to have something more exciting in the near future.

Oh my God! I totally did my first blog!
