Preschool!

Harper started the 4's class at her school today. I can't believe she is now in the oldest class at Jubilee Junction! We love it there and are so excited about the upcoming year! Her teachers are fabulous and she loves everyone in her class! If you ask her if she has a favorite friend, she says everyone! We love that about her!

10 months old!

Henley is 10 months old and doing the same things she did at 9 months old. She's added a few tricks like waving, clapping, and drinking from a sippy cup and straw...but that's about it. We are ready for her to crawl or at least learn to move forward. She will be a lot less frustrated! She also started at Mother's Day out today and was perfect (her teacher's words!). We love this little love bug so much!!!

Henley is 9 months!

Before she turns 10 months, I need to document the last month for Henley! :)

Weight: 18lbs (45%)
Height: 27in (30%)
Head: 44cm (50%)

At 9 months, Henley is loving life and doing the following:

-She sleeps from about 8:30pm-8am. It's awesome. New teeth mess with this a little bit, but she gets right back on track once she feels better.
-She has 3 8oz bottles a day, and 3 full meals. She will eat just about everything. Her typical breakfast is a waffle and fruit. Lunch is usually turkey or ham, string cheese, blueberries, and strawberries. And for dinner, she eats whatever I have cooked. She loves avocado, chicken, eggs, and just about anything we put on her tray! She is such a good eater...which helps encourage big sister in her eating too!
-She still isn't crawling but finds ways to get what she needs. She scoots on her bottom. She will eventually lean forward and end up on her tummy and goes backwards. We are ready for her to move!
-She claps, waves, and shakes her head no. And she loves to show off her tricks (on her timing though!)
-She babbles all day long. It definitely sounds like momma and dadda at times, but I won't kid myself into thinking it's on purpose.
-She LOVES Harper and wants to be by her at all times!

We are so thankful for this little lovebug! She brings such such to our family!

July in pictures

We celebrated my niece's birthday, Harper spent a fun week at KK's, and we enjoyed our days together in Dallas...minus the week Henley had an AWFUL stomach virus that landed us in the ER!

Weekend at Gama and Pop-pop's house

We spent the weekend with Corby's parents at the end of June. They have moved to a lake community that is fairly close to us. It's sort of in the middle of nowhere, so there are a lot of deer. Harper loved riding in the golf cart in the evenings looking for them. We saw a few babies...which were precious! Harper also enjoyed playing games and sticking her hand in the box of change when she would win (which was every game she played!). Our evenings were spent outside, which is something that doesn't happen in Dallas, in the summer. We had a great time!

8 Months Old!

Henley is 8 months old!

Here are some things she is doing:

-She sleeps from about 8pm-7:30am, with a few naps during the day. Typical second child doesn't have  a daily schedule!
-She drinks 4 bottles during the day and eats 2/3 meals. She wasn't interested in baby food, so we moved on. She hasn't turned down anything we've given her. She eats turkey, chicken, avocado, peas, carrots, green beans, grapes, blueberries, macaroni and cheese, cheese, the list goes on and on. It is so nice that she eats so well! We are very thankful and hoping she rubs off on her big sister a bit! :)
-She sits up, but still doesn't roll from tummy to back. She likes to sleep on her tummy though, so I think she is getting more used to it.
-She loves her lovie and paci, along with any toy you give her
-She is finally getting her 2 bottom teeth- so she chews on anything and everything

We love this little lovebug so much and are so thankful for what she brings to our family!

A week in Little Rock

After K-Kauai, we went to Little Rock for the week. I had an event to go to, so we decided to just make a week of it! So the relaxing continued!!! My mom is a fabulous hostess and lets me get so much sleep! I love being at her house! We were able to spend lots of time with my dad, Gran-d, and Grandpa Bob. Grandpa Bob and Henley are little besties! She kind of loves everyone, but he is especially into her! We had a great week.

I was able to attend Rock the Runway, put on by one of my friends, Heather. She fought hard and beat breast cancer this past year, and then she put on this event for her non-profit, Fighting Fancy. I am so proud of her and love watching her help others who are enduring the hard road of cancer. She is one amazing friend!!!
