Crazy Changes

I just put Addie down for the night, and was thinking about all the new things that are going on in our lives right now. Corey is DONE with school for this semester. He finished his last final this morning at about eight o'clock. Without the stress of school it feels like we can both breathe a little easier. He is hoping for straight A's, we will see?!?

As for me, I have decided to teach 2nd grade in Myton next year! That's right, I have lost my mind. I'm going to teach for one last year before I settle down. I haven't told very many people, but the people I did tell said, "What? What are you going to do with your baby?" Well, let's just say that Corey has decided to be SUPER DAD, not only is he going to work night shifts as a nurse, he is going to watch Addie during the day, and somehow fit in three college classes. He seems to think that he is up for the challenge. I also have some really good friends, and neighbors who have offered to take Addie on the days that Corey needs to sleep. Teaching is hard work, but it's a noble cause, so I'm going to give it all I've got.

Addie has minor changes in her life, like the consistancy of her poo, her whinny voice, and her likes and dislikes of food. I fed her applesauce for the first time tonight, and she winced, and spit it out five times. It was hilarious! Today, I wish I could be a baby and have someone take that much care of me. I need to go brush my teeth, take out my contacts, and wash my face, but I'm too tired.

Sigma Theta Tau

Corey with his "bling,bling"

Corey and Rae (girl he works with)
Yes, she's crazy, but she knows how to have fun!

Corey and I (Robin)
On Tuesday night of this week Corey was officially inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, an International Honor Society of Nursing. It was really nice to go and honor Corey for the night. He has worked hard to keep his good grades and it was encouraging for him to be recognized for all his hard work. We had a nice dinner, and got to meet some interesting people. We couldn't take Addie, so my Aunt Ange and Uncle Mike were nice enough to babysit. It was the first time I had left Adelynn with anyone for an extended period of time, and she did really well. Mostly, because Angela knows how to take care of babies! Thanks, Ange. And, Corey we're proud of you!

Church!

One of the counselors in the bishopric was looking at Addie, and said that she was getting big, blah, blah, blah...then he said, "Haven't you heard that noisy children are like good intentions, they both need to be carried out". So, I thought that was funny and had to share it with you. So, my good intention this week is to try and get my visiting teaching done. Also, Eileen found this hilarious picture of the guy in the tent sleeping with his bike, and she thought of Corey and I. I wouldn't allow this to happen, but it doesn't mean Corey wouldn't think about it. This picture gave me some comic relief!

Emotional Rollercoaster!

This is my Dad in his swimsuit and cowboy boots!
So, for those of you who don't know my Dad (Gordon) received an MRI last November that showed that he had a tumor on his spine. He finally went in to get the surgery today, they were going to remove the tumor and it was going to be a very serious surgery, since the tumor was on his spine. So, we were all worried, and prayed a lot. Well, they did another MRI yesterday to check and see where the tumor was and what they would need to do for the surgery. My parents got the results this morning that there is no tumor! They had driven all the way to Boise and made arrangments to be gone for five days, and the surgery was cancelled. He still needs back surgery, because there is disk material there (don't really know what that means), but the doctors wouldn't do it today. So, basically we have been worried about this tumor for about six months, and poof it's gone! He has been on a speical diet (no potatoes, no tomatoes) to get rid of the tumor, and he has been doing other homeopathic things, and I guess it worked. Who really knows?!?

Addie June

Ready for Church!

Chewing on the whisk.
This is what Adelynn does when she wants to get out of her bouncer. She's a wiggle worm!

I have found myself calling Adelynn, Addie June. It is mostly when I am frustrated with her. Kinda like when I call Corey, Corey DeMar when I he's doing something I don't want him to do. The other day I was in the kitchen doing dishes, and listening to Neil Diamond. I was singing along, and showing Adelynn how to sing into the whisk. She grabbed it from me and wouldn't let go. So, I had to add the picture of her, and the whisk. She is definatley teething. She chews on everything.

Last Weekend!

Corey's so serious in this picture (what a nerd).

Corey on his mountain bike.

Adelynn playing with Grandpa (they are waving at Grandma)!

Cousin Makayla reading Addie a book.

Adelynn in the walker that Uncle Marvin let her borrow.

I have a few pictures I wanted to post from last weekend, when Addie and I stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Stoker. They always treat us so good. I think I drank ALL of Grandpa's famous grape juice while I was there. We had fun, and we got to see Makayla and Eileen for a little while too. Also, there is a picture with Corey and his bike. Mountain biking has gone from an obsession to the ONLY thing he thinks about. He wanted to go out on the mountain and ride yesterday. I told him no, and he said he needed the exercise. So, our compromise was that he take Addie and I with him. While he was on the trail I took Adelynn for a ride in her stroller. It was the perfect family outing (except that we saw two dead dogs on our walk, sad). Thanks for reading!

Kristin's Wedding

Kristin and her man (David)Pat and Rachel five years ago! (Yes, Rachel can carry Pat)

Rachel and Pat now! (They haven't changed much, just calmed down a little)

Kristin was so beautiful and HAPPY.

The adorable bride's maids. Rachel is super excited!

My roommate Kristin McNeil-Wade got married on Friday the 4th. She got married in the Timpanogos Temple, and her reception was held in Oakley, Utah. Because they are both from the same area, there were a MILLION people there. I'll bet she got a crap load of gifts, enough to last her a lifetime. She was incredibly beautiful, and the reception was decorated all cute and perfect. It seemed like everything ran so smoothly. I was glad that I got to see Pat and Rachel (Kristin's sister) too. It had been almost three years since I had seen them. Rachel wont start a blog, because she insists that she has nothing to put on it. So, I thought I would add a few pictures of the two and give you all a little update.
