Mi Casa es su Casa!

The other day I got an email from a sweet lady that attends our church, she said it was official, they would be moving and we would be able to rent their home.

At the end of the email she wrote, "Now I can say, Mi casa es su casa"!

We are excited about this opportunity! We will be moving into their home on August 1st and the kids are so excited to have their own rooms, a play room upstairs (in the finished attic), and Mom is just happy about the backyard! We have never lived in a space larger than 1100 square feet, since Corey and I have been married almost 8 years. We are so excited to have space!

Crawfish Party!

Corey's friend from Mississippi invited us out to Clayton, NC
for a traditional, southern crawfish party. I know NOTHING about crawfish, and I certainly knew nothing about a crawfish party prior to attending the gathering. I was frightened when I realized that our hosts had purchased huge boxes of LIVE crawfish and would be boiling them at the party. The whole idea behind spending that much time and energy on a food item is beyond me. Especially since, you only eat a small pinch of the fish. However, it was a memory that we wont soon forget.

The crawfish are alive, yikes!

These ones are cooked, and flavored just right!

This guy was trying to scare the kids with the live crawfish. :)

This was our amazing cook!

These guys spent hours around the crawfish just talking and eating.

Jack and Adelynn perfected their "corn-hole" skills.

I met and fell in love with these triplets, I couldn't get enough of them! I went home feeling so sad that I don't get to watch my twin nieces grow up, because they are so far away. : (

I didn't have the patience to eat much crawfish,
but the potatoes and corn were great!

Growing up...

My babies are getting so big! These pictures were taken about a year apart, and in the same place.

Easter Weekend

On Good Friday we had the missionaries over and
Corey made a traditional southern meal. He had never made fried chicken before,
but after 2 oven fires we ended up with some AMAZING fried chicken!

Addy left the Easter Bunny some kale and a carrot!

Getting ready to go to bed...

This is what the kids left the Easter Bunny,

and this is what he left them!

A colorful elephant pillow!

Addy and Jack had their 1st kite flying experience.

We learned quickly that it is a TON of work to fly a kite when there isn't much wind.

Jack just wanted to play soccer with his new ball.

Easter Morning:

Corey cooked us over-night blueberry french toast, it was incredible!

Adelynn dressed up for Easter Sunday

I came across this picture of Christ this Easter and it is one of my favorites
(sorry about the resolution, the artist hasn't released many pictures of it online).
I know that my Savior was resurrected and He lives and loves us!

Cudddle time after church.

Our Dad had to leave in the afternoon on Easter Sunday to go out of town for clinicals. :-(

So, we dyed some Easter eggs!

Pre-Easter Adventures

Jack and I joined Adelynn's preschool group on a field trip to the Science museum, I didn't see Addy the entire time, she was too cool to hang out with her Mom. :) But, Jack enjoyed hanging out with the boys and running around the museum.

Owen, Jack, Max, and Natalie standing in a dinosaur footprint.

Only a thin layer of glass from a large rattlesnake.

Snack time outside, Jack is saying "cheese".

I adore all the children in Addy's preschool class,
and hanging out with them makes me miss the joys of teaching.

It's Spring time!

We attended multiple egg hunts this year.

Just hanging out on the empty fountain ledge.

It's a hat...

and a basket!

My "birdies" sitting in a nest.

Turtle time, Jack could of watched him for hours.

Addy touching a snake.
