my mom & Matthew's visit (04.27)

Tobin & Skyler

Hudson
Everyone making sure Hudson sits in the stroller before Skyler pushes him. They've played w/this stroller so much that it riped and my mom took it upon herself to sew the two holes back. Thank goodness b/c that's just one more thing I would have added to my list to do.

row row row your boat...

Daddy came home last Sat. with a new toy...a rocking boat. Kids loved rocking on it and I think Tobin and Hudson even said "row" and "rock" while doing it.

hats hats hats

The kids love their hats!
Tobin

He wanted to try on Skyler's hat too.
Skyler

Hudson- he loved this hat so much, he went to bed one night w/it on. It was the cutest thing, him laying there w/his hat and holding his lovies.

play @ Lynne's home (04.21)

Our second playdate, this time @ Lynne's home last Wed. All of the kids enjoyed the outdoors! We even had our lunch there too.
Then we moved upstairs to their other play area. Lynne and her kids have a lot of different toys than us so maybe that's why they have such a good time playing.

Hudson getting ready for his turn on the slide. You can kinda see Tommy up there. Skyler, Tobin and Zoe at the bottom and Tabitha is off by the car.
Zoe's turn on the slide!
Tommy, such a handsome boy!

They've switched turns.

Hudson

On the ride home, it was not good at all. Since Hudson had been seriously teething, he only slept for 30 minutes on the ride back. He cried so loud, he woke up the others and they eventually went back to sleep, but Hudson never did. He was still crying when we came, he cried from 2-5, NO JOKE!!! It was not pretty, so bad I had to call Dan to come home and help me. I gave him all sorts of teething meds, nothing worked! The Tylenol finally kicked in about 5. Thank goodness!!! Poor guy, he had 3 molars coming in.

bros time

The boys are beginning to spend some quality time together. It's so cool to watch them bond and play w/each other. The hardest part is capturing all these moments. Even though we have the camera and camcorder nearby at all times, by the time you get it, the moment's gone. Luckily Dan was able to capture these pictures.

Boys rocking together.

They are laughing and having fun here, even though it looks like Tobin is having a beef w/Hudson.
Just like Skyler w/the rings on her feet, it's the boys turn!

Hudson w/his.

And Tobin.

My boys, love you so much!!!

we tried but didn't succeed... (04.18)

Since Matthew was back in town, Patrick wanted to take us out to eat. Last Sunday, after the kids woke up from their nap, we loaded them up to go eat VN/Chinese food at Tan Tan Restaurant. BTW, it seems when there's something planned for after the kids nap, they seem to sleep forever...go figure! Anyhow, we went there hoping to sit down and eat like they did awhile back when we went to Kim Son restaurant. Not the case here, we lasted less than 30 minutes, I think.
Patrick was there first and we waited for my mom and Matthew to come. I went ahead and ordered some food for the kids. They had the wide flat rice noodles w/beef and Chinese brocalli and egg/pancake dish. Skyler and Tobin ate a little. Hudson's been teething really bad so he didn't eat anything. We found out later he was cutting 3 molars, poor guy! This week is Tobin's turn, he's been refusing food and eating very little, not like him at all! Anyways, since Hudson wasn't eating, he didn't want to sit in his chair, so Dan carried him around the restaurant, but that didn't work too well b/c he wanted to get down and walk. And when you have three, it's monkey see, monkey do...they all wanted to get out of their chair and walk. When I saw that coming, I knew it was time to leave. In between all of this, Dan and I are trying to scarf down the kids leftovers since we hadn't eaten since breakfast.
We headed to a VN sandwich shop and picked up some sandwiches for Dan and I. During this time, we got a call from a prospect who wanted to see one of our rent homes. We took the kids for a drive to one of our RE houses. Since Hudson didn't eat anything, I think he was hungry on the way there and pretty much cried the whole time, prolly that and a combination of the teething. Dan tried to comfort him by caressing his head the whole time, sometimes it worked. We had never taken the kids to any of our RE houses before so wasn't sure how that was gonna work out. Skyler and Tobin loved it, they were running around the house, opening and closing all the doors. Skyler even crawled into the kitchen cabinets. Hudson was clingy and crying the whole time. Good thing we went out there, they are now our new tenants. We are fully occupied again!

what parents have been up to...

Matthew came back from VN after being gone since January and babies sat which allowed us to get out at night after the kids are asleep:

4/17- we joined Dan's family and Carol for dinner at Outback Steakhouse. It was her last night in town (she and Gail visited Grandma in Dallas and came back that day).
4/23- Dan and I went to dinner at Pappadeaux w/Mike and Janice, Dan's friend from college. Then we had tickets to see Chelsea Handler, one of my favorite comedian. The show was supposed to be at 10:30 but ran a hour late. It was a looong night, haven't done one of those in a loong time!
4/22- I feed the kids dinner and put them down by myself so Dan could go see the Astros play. He took his friend Billy, tixs were compliment of ASC when we did the 5K walk.
Thanks Matthew for staying w/the kids and allowing us to get out a bit!!!

play w/Lynne's trio (04.15)

Lynne, another triplet mom through SCT and I had a playdate a week ago. She came to our home. I think her trio is 1-2 month younger than ours, sorry I don't remember Lynne. She has two girls and a boy, all fraternal. Everyone had a great time, they actually all interacted w/one other and played really well together. It went so well that we'll try to do this once a week alternating homes.

Skyler and Lynne w/two of her kids, Zoe and Tommy.

Patrick w/Lynne's trio.

Pretty Zoe!

Tommy, taking a sip of our cup.

Zoe

I love this picture, Skyler and Hudson looks like they're engrossed in some discussion w/Zoe, while Tommy could care less.

all six kiddos: Tabitha standing on the blue chair, Lynne w/Tommy, Zoe on the green chair, Tobin and Skyler walking, and Hudson crotching over.

another shot of all six kids w/Alejandra
This was the day Daddy came home too from New Orleans! YEA!!!

a few more moments w/Carol

These pictures were taken last Wed and Thurs before Carol left for Dallas. Kids love to play chase around things...here around the sofa. See Molly watching them...she is so good w/the kids, always checking up on them to make sure they're ok especially when someone's crying. And when they go outside to play she waits for the kids to walk out first instead of charging through the door like Redford does. Redford's good w/them too, in a different way, he just doesn't have the motherly in him.

Mommy w/Skyler and Tobin

Carol was able to do a side ponytail on Skyler.

Carol's last day w/the kids: Skyler, Hudson and Tobin

With the boys

Hudson- I love this one, I just called his name and this is what I got!

Hudson was in this car first, then Tobin joined him...

was waiting if Skyler was gonna jump in, luckily for Hudson, she didn't.

awesome steak dinner

Gail babies sat the kids last Wed (04.14) at bedtime b/c Carol wanted to treat me out for a nice steak dinner. Dan had called the night before and he didn't want to rub it in that they were having a nice dinner. We went to Fleming's and it was totally delish! I enjoyed every minute of that meal, great food, great convo! Thanks Carol for nice evening!!!

Busy Tuesday (04.13)

Last Tuesday was a busy one for the kids. It was the first time we had so many adults during the weekday that I took that opportunity to go to the neighborhood park. Carol, Patrick, Alejandra and I took the kids there and they had so much fun! I love it when there's 4 adults at a public outing b/c it gives me a chance to take pictures while I know each child is being watched.
After they woke up from their nap, we headed over to another park that has a splash pond. This time, Rebecca and my brother, Brian also joined the same crew from the morning. Since it was our first time going, I had no idea what to expect. I didn't bring any towels, extra clothes or anything, but we made out of there just fine. I also forgot the camera. :( Kids ate their snacks there and we met a couple of moms from my SF class.
That night was bath night and Carol helped me w/that. We finally changed our bath nights to 3 times a week: Tues, Thurs & Sat. They slept like a log of course after some crying. :(

I just like this pix of Tobin, random picture taking.

Skyler

Love this side profile of her, so sassy!

Carol pushing Skyler, Alejandra pushing Hudson.

Carol showing Skyler her phone. They love all the buttons on there and the music it plays.

Carol and Patrick watching babies.

Patrick w/the boys. They love to play w/wagon, this belonged to another family there and they didn't mind my kids playing w/it.

Finally got a close up of Patrick and Tobin.

Patrick took Tobin down the big kid slide.

Both boys decided to get up on the big kid toy, made Patrick a little worrysome. He was there protecting them the whole time.

Tobin

These are a few pictures Carol took from her phone. I forgot to bring my camera to the splash pad. Tobin finally warmed up to the spray. Hudson took of on the playground. Skyler like the splash pad, she liked the snacks more! :)

Two from Carol earlier at the park.
