Cote Kids

We started off this morning hoping to do some errands together as a family, but Matt called and said he needed help w/changing out door locks for Gaby's old house since they found a renter. Dan came up w/a clever idea of him taking one kid w/him while I take two to run errands. He picked Skyler since she's not as clingy as the boys have been, besides this gives a chance for Daddy & little girl to spend time together and Mommy and her boys to spend time together. I packed another diaper bag, bottle of water and snacks for her. I just told him to make sure he feeds her at noon and be home for her nap. He told me she ended up being a little clingy until she found out she could play w/all his tools in the tool bucket.

I took the boys to Costco (in the loop) and Toys R US to pick out a toy for Andrew's birthday party later in the day. I also needed to get some good shades for our trip. The boys really enjoyed their outing, I think they like sitting front facing. They could see the dash board and the big trucks whizzing by. Of course, they enjoyed Mommy singing too! :) At both places, everyone thought they were the cutest little boys and they did really well!

During their nap, we figured out which suitcases to use and taped up our boxes to get ready for packing. We also started packing their clothes and got everything ready to go to Andrew's party. Once they woke up from their nap, we took them in the car immediately, luckily no one had poopy diapers! Now that they sit forward facing, Hudson gets to see the big trucks passing by and he gets so excited when he sees them!

Another long day! We had to leave after they ate so that Dan could make it home for Matt's bachelor party later that night.

Dan's work threw him a going away party at Escalantes yesterday evening. I have to say, he's very lucky to have such a great work family and hopefully it will continue once we're in Saudi. Julie and Matthew came over to babies sit, feed them their snacks and dinner w/them so we could attend the party. Matt also stopped by to play w/the kids. Julie took all these pictures so she's not in any of them, of course. I went home to put the kids down for their bedtime and Dan stayed for a little longer. Boys were not happy Daddy was not there, but it is what it is.

That morning I also took Hudson to the doctor...he's been having a rash on his thigh. Luckily the doc said it's just some skin irritation and not a disease/sickness. It's starting to clear up w/the cortisone cream. Not sure what it could be since we didn't change detergent, soap or anything.

I have to admit I REALLY LOVE their haircuts!!!

The SF moms had a going away dinner for me and another mom, Sydney on Wednesday. Sydney's husband also got transfer, but to another state, not country. We had dinner and drinks at Rattan Pan Asian restaurant in West Houston. Once again, a bunch of moms were the last ones to leave the place. I guess since we don't get to go out that often, when we do, we loose track of time. It was a nice evening out! Gotta get all the martinis in while I can!!! The funny thing is my limit now is two drinks, I guess being a mom really makes you think to not do stupid things like drink and drive. Last week was my last time to do SF since I can't fit the stroller in our Saab. The car seats fits perfectly in the back, so I will just have to jog w/them around the neighborhood to get my cardio in!

Lynne came over to our house for a play date Tuesday. It was supposed to be my turn going to her house this week, but since we took the van in to the shipping company, I am basically carless until Dan's off. Thank goodness she didn't mind driving over here since our kids play really well together. We played A LOT today, they didn't go down for their nap until 1:40. We will play one last time next week...so sad thinking about it! We will miss them dearly!!!
