Even though he was blindfolded, it was difficult to throw him off at first. He could sense where I was driving by the turns I made (he would have made a great firefighter!), so I had to throw him off by circling around a few parking lots and up a few side-streets. The 10-minute drive became almost 25 minutes long!
When we pulled up to the place and parked, I told him he could remove the blindfold and it took him a few seconds to get re-oriented, but then he realized where he was. I gave him the tickets and he was totally shocked.
After a pretty good opening act, Gaffigan came out and put on a great show, and we got to see it from the third row. Of course, his encore consisted of the "Hot Pockets" bit that made him famous (find it on You Tube if you want a good laugh).
I had to leave my camera in the car, so I couldn't take pictures of the show (though I saw other people snapping pictures left and right), but I had to get a couple of shots of the blind-folded birthday boy.
