Sometimes, time just stands still. Even as grown adults who move away, get married and have children, I still look at old friends and see the kids I used to play baseball and manhunt with. I still see us as the close friends we were all those years ago.
On August 24, our old neighbor and friend, Scott Stewart, got married in Lake George. He and Melissa were wed at a beautiful farm, and Mom S., and I were there to see it, with John as Scott's co-best man along with Scott's brother, Kevin. Scott's sister -- and my old friend -- Kristen, was also in the wedding. John gave a very sweet best man speech (which can be seen below), and he also brewed the beer for the wedding himself, which was quite a hit. We got to mingle and catch up with not only the Stewarts, but also their extended family and friends, most of whom we haven't seen in years. Time has been good to everyone.
Best wishes, Scott and Melissa. Marriage is a blessing.
