Our Baby Mitchell

It's been a roller coaster of a week for us. As you know, we had our precious little baby boy on April 23, 2007. He weighed 2 pounds, 11 ounces. He was perfect in every way. We can't express how much we miss him and wish we had him here to love and hold.

It's hard to express our gratitude to each of you, as you have done so much and helped in so many ways. We are so grateful for all the love and prayers in our behalf. The outpouring of kindness has sure helped buoy us up at such a difficult time. Thank you so very much.

Climbing!

Addy went climbing with her Uncle Braden, Aunt Lauren, Mom and Kailey. She didn't have shoes small enough to wear, but she didn't seem to mind. She climbed to the top five times and got a sticker for it. She was so cute in her harness, and a great climber! Next time we'll let her do some bouldering.

Happy Easter

We had an Easter Egg hunt on campus. Addy was able to spend time with some of her great pals, including the Easter Bunny! It was a beautiful day and we had a blast. Whenever someone asks Addy about it, she says "I touched his tongue."

April Fools!

What a great conference weekend we had. Sunday was relaxing and fun. It was nice to just stay home and hang out the whole day. Saturday was Susan Dangerfield's baby shower (very fun and yummy at Mimi's Cafe) whereI got a great idea for a April Fools trick from Susan's mother-in-law. So Sunday morning I got up before Craig and made some chocolate covered cotton balls. They did look pretty tasty. When he first saw them, he popped one into his mouth and began chewing...I wish I had a picture of his face! It was so funny! Well I made plenty of balls, so we decided to take them to the after-conference potluck. We positioned ourselves so we could see everyone as they tried a chocolate. Wow, it was hilarious!! But we gave ourselves away by our laughter...but not until after we got several people. We captured Cameron Benson on camera. We also got some pictures of Lauren Brown, but she seemed to really enjoy it, she just sucked the chocolate off of the cotton.
Later that evening we had fun playing outside with our neighbors and friends. We played "bowling for kids," "Go attack so-and-so (Craig, Ken, Melissa, etc.)," duck-duck-goose, and "Go [Addy] go Addy, go!"
Jones and Vangilder family's...............APRIL FOOLS!!!

Easter Time

Addy is so excited for Easter time. We had a Easter party on campus on Saturday and Addy had been anticipating wearing her Easter dress and finding eggs. It turned out really funny though, because she slipped in the mud searching for eggs and got her dress all muddy, and she ended up giving away all of her eggs except four of them. We are so proud of her for sharing and being so kind, but we think she's missing the point of the Easter egg hunt!
She'll get another chance on Saturday at the big school Easter egg hunt...we'll see what happens!
