. . . and life goes on.

We are back to normal at the Carter house. It takes me about twice as long to do everything than it used to but nonetheless it is back to the daily grind! As I sit here I am having to type one handed so that I can hold Adam. Even though he slows us down, we sure do love our little baby boy! Rachel calls him "the baby Adam." We are working on rennovations for another property. I am an official realtor now with a key and everything!!! We spent over four hours the other day in the car with the kids doing this and that for our business. It was a long day but full of good memories. These are fun times. Having three children is quite a circus act as I am finding out but I wouldn't trade it for the world!!

The Fun Continues!

So, tonight Audrey is throwing up! I can't believe our luck! Audrey said that she wasn't feeling very well and at first I just thought that she was trying to be like Grammy and wanted attention but then after cleaning up the floor I realized that she was really sick! What a week! The good news is that Rachel is an angel and hasn't shown any signs of being sick and the baby has been sleeping and going longer inbetween feadings! We had dinner brought in tonight which was such a relief. It was really good except that the spaghetti had pinto beans in it! To each his own I guess. Anyway, I'll keep you posted. P.S. That is what 8 lbs 10 oz looks like inside of me - I felt like a stuffed turkey!

Halloween Baby

Things have sure been busy around here! I still can't believe that the baby was born on Halloween. We have had quite a couple of days. My mom got sick yesterday and passed out in the middle of the night in the bathroom! It wouldn't have been nearly as bad if she hadn't had a bottle of bright red Niquil in her hand that spilled all over her and all over the bathroom!! I have never been more scared in my life! She is feeling a little better today but we have had to make a few adjustments! The baby is doing great! We are loving every minute of him! Rachel keeps telling me over and over again, "I love the baby Adam!" Audrey is always holding him and kissing him. It is so fun to have a boy! I'm feeling really good and James has been a lot of help. He has had to step it up with my mom being sick. Anyway, I only have a second as you can imagine so I will have to write more later. I just wanted to get some more pictures up. I can't figure out how to fix the red eye on our new computer program so Sorry!

Portrait Time

I took my kids to WalMart today to have their pictures taken TOGETHER! It wasn't as horrible as usual but one or the other of them was always making a funny face or moving the wrong direction. I came home and had better luck in the backyard. Audrey was more in the mood than Rachel as you can tell from the pictures. Oh well!

Summer Fun!

We made it back safely from our huge road trip to Colorado! The trip had a few bumps but was an overall success! We had a wonderful time at the Family Reunion and the girls were amazing travelers! I couldn't have asked for better kids! We were all excited for the kids to be able to ride horses - the girls have been in love with horses since they were born! We have had a really busy summer with school and visitors and pregnancy etc. The heat is really starting to get to me and I can't wait for the next two and a half months to be over. Chelsea is going home this week and we will all miss her very much! She has been so much fun! My family has really been such a big help with all of the babysitting they have done and with Mom coming out to help with renovating the Abby Lane house. I have seen a lot of them and I am sure I will go through withdrawls this weekend when Chelsea and Britt drive away. We are getting more and more excited about our baby boy! For those of you who know me, it will come as no surprise that I already have all of the nursery decor picked out and ready to move in the moment Chelsea moves out! It has been so much fun! Audrey starts school next week so that will be our next big adventure. That is it for now!

New, News, and more News

I feel like there are so many new things going on lately. First and foremost, we found out that we are expecting a baby BOY!!! We are all so excited! It will be nice to have a little more balance in our home. I'm excited to buy blue and green! Next, we started an investments company called JC Heritage Investments. We are very excited about this new company and its future. We are purchasing our first property to fix and flip this week. We are closing on Friday! As a part of our new company I have decided to go to real estate school!!! AAAAAAAAAAA!!! I'm a little scared about going back to using my brain again - I'm a little rusty! I'm also looking forward to learning and doing something like this for myself. I'm so grateful to have the support of my family, especially James and Chelsea who are going to watch the kids. I will be going to school from 8:30-12:15 Mon.-Thurs. for ten weeks. I know that I won't have another opportunity like this for a long time after the baby comes so I think this will be a great thing for me. We also decided that we are going to drive to Colorado for our family reunion. It is 18 hours but I think that it will be worth it! Other than that, I am exhausted! Here are some pictures of our Abby Lane House.

Texas Rain

I've always loved rainy days and they are even better with kids!!! We had so much fun splashing around in the puddles.

The Many Faces of Audrey

Audrey is such a goof ball. She is always saying the funniest things. We asked her what she thought about Chelsea's friend Matt the other day and her response was, "He's kind of like a dude." Yesterday while we were at church she looked at me and asked where her primary teacher was by saying, "where's princess Hansen?" I thought it was so cute that she thought that we were saying princess Hansen instead of Sister Hansen. She is so much fun!
