Geez It's Been A While!

I didn't realize how long it had been since I posted here! So much has been going on lately, I don't know where to begin.

First things first, our divorce will be final this month. Many didn't think we'd make it this long! I guess we did something right because we have three wonderful, gorgeous kids. They are the bomb! And I hope to have a good friend by my side when all is said and done. We are trying!!!

Now for fun stuff.... Jackie played in his first baseball tournament with the Bryan Harvey All Star Blue team. They went undefeated and won the District 33 Tournament!!! Woo Hoo! There are some neat photos below. Our next step is Sectional play in Elgin. These teams will be tougher but I know our guys can win it too, they are awesome.

I have many silly pics of Skyler to post that I hope to get loaded tomorrow, provided I can find my usb cable. She has been having fun swimming in the pool, messing up the house, and irritating her brother and sister. They love her to death but she gets into everything!

Haley leaves this Thursday for France. She is going with Carl's grandmother and they won't be back until August 3! Wow, what will I do without her? Sure will be different with her gone.... Skyler won't understand where Sissy has gone to, she asks everyday where everyone is. Jackie Practice? Sissy? Daddy? She has to always know what everyone is up to. It's cute.

A Rocking Performance!

My sweet and innocent baby girl Haley is now a RockStar! Nextis2morrow performed for Gabe's birthday (lead guitarist) today and I was VERY impressed. Haley, if you read this, be proud of me for not crying because I really, really waned to. I was so freaking proud of her and the band. Here is a video of a good piece of one of their songs..... Way to go Monkey!

Here are some still shots from the performance too.
Skyler and Sissy before the performance....
Gabe jammin on his guitar....

Haley showing her talents and her adorable new haircut!

Here's Chris keeping everyone on beat! The band was awesome!

More green stuff

This time it is coming out of Skyler's nose. Her eyes are stuck together every morning and her has a little cough too. Poor sticky, gooey baby girl!

Baseball season has begun and we have lost our first two games. There are two really good ballplayers on the team and Boo is one of them. He pitched on Monday night and did pretty well considering he isn't a pitcher. We play again on next Monday, hope they do better.

Haley is still practicing for their next live performance. I plan to get it on video!

What a freaking mess!

This past Thursday, Skyler started puking like the Exorcist, all evening. She was fine the next morning to I took her to daycare... I got a call around 3:30 that was was throwing up again. That child puked all over herself and the car on the way home. I had to totally take apart her carseat and wash it down. It was gross!

On Sat, my tummy hurt a little but nothing came of it. Boo stayed at his grandmother's that night. I was up around 4am puking! GREAT! Carl wasn't feeling good either. Nanou called on Sunday morning to say that Boo was puking left and right. The sole survivor was Haley. She stayed at a friend's house that eve so I called her to ask how she felt. She was fine and happy that she was the only one that wasn't sick. Haley went to a lock in with a friend. Guess what, she sent me a text to come get her, she was puking.

Through all of this, our little Typhoid Mary was wanting to play and be silly. She had gotten over the bug and was now torturing mom with giving her bunny kisses and constantly wanting juice.

Thanks for the gifts Sweetie Pie Sky!

Lots of Things going on.....

First off. Haley's aunt Michelle did some fancy coloring and cutting during the Christmas Holidays for Haley and gave her the cutest hairstyle and color! Her school gave her a hard time for the colors but they faded fast and they didn't do anything to her for it. Then she let her friend cut her hair.... BIG mistake. She made it look like it was falling out from being sick. It was stringy and limp. Carl and I hated it. So I "fixed" it. It looked good from the front but the back was "jacked up" from what I hear.

Haley went back to Michelle's to get it fixed again and got a sort of punky pixie cut. It is adorable! Thanks Michelle!

Now for the baseball news..... We spent the entire weekend back and forth to Waco for a baseball tournament. Two games on Saturday, three games on Sunday. It was freaking cold as a witch's tit on Sat (sorry, that's one of my Dad's old sayin's). But the Bryan Knights 10 and under team won the tournament. They won every game! I knew we had this tourney, I had no doubts.... But the team we played last, on Sunday was a team we had already beat on Sat. You betcha they were ready to play hard.... And they did. The Waco Thunder gave us a run for our money. I was on the edge of my seat for the last two innings. Well, scratch that, I actually got out of my seat to watch.... (my seat was really warm with blankets so this really showed my support! :) )

It was down to the last out..... The hitter sent the ball straight to right field where Miles lives. He has turned out to be an awesome hitter these past few months. He is a big kid too so he doesn't move as fast as Hunter (another post for later) so that hit for the third out was all about Miles. Guess what? He moved faster than I had seen ever, picked it up, wailed the ball to our best ever first base - Travis- and got the final out. Talk about movie material.... This entire tournament was way too cool. In addition to the last play..... Hunter running, Landon's monster hits, Jackie's textbook bunt, Mason's guns to second base, awesome plays by Jake and Lane in the infield... Leon's awesome hitting, and Josh's major outs at third base... We brought the game. Yes we did. All of our boys need to be proud as hell for the way they played this weekend. It takes a lot of energy and determination to play 5 games in two days. Let's see these high payed MLB players do that! I bet they would whine and ask for money.... Our Bryan Knights can whoop your rear ends!

Let's not forget our coaches. Carl mentioned that he noticed the other teams getting tired pretty early on during the game... And that our boys were still jumping around, and ready to bring it. This is because of our dedicated coaches. Our practices run a little long sometimes. Just when I think they may be done, they are made to run the bases or do one more drill. This has seemed to work out in the long run because our little men have the stamina that most grown men do not. They played hard all weekend....

Not to brag but Carl knows baseball. He played semi-pro for a while and was a member of other hardball teams from high school on to about 2004... Lots of baseball in our lives..... We breathe it here.

It's nice to share the obsession. Thanks to everyone, our kids are having a blast, building their confidence, and becoming little men. Go Knights!

Today's update

Well Sky is talking so much more these days. She loves to say "No", and "Fock". Yes, it sounds bad when she says it. She is referring to her socks but she uses the wrong beginning sound. We try not to laugh.

Haley's grades are coming up. She is loving French now that she is able to converse with family in France, that is sooooo cool. We have distant cousins and others living in France that know the real language (not what is taught in schools) and they say she is doing great with her posts on Facebook. Thanks Nanou and Dominique! Are there other family members on Facebook?

Jackie had a Valentine's Party at school on Friday. I try to attend all parties for the kids. Here is a pic of him being silly.... What's new? He is always silly...

As for me, the only real exciting thing I have going on is SLOWLY stocking my new fishin' pond. I have started putting minnows in there, a few dozen at a time. Don't know where they are though, I don't see them anymore. There isn't any vegetation there yet for them to hide in so maybe they are just hiding. We will see. I want to stock it with bass, perch, and channel cat. We will see what I can afford. $20a month won't buy many babies! But I am thinking "long-run", I will have an awesome fishing hole someday!!!!

Everyone Please have a great Valentine's Day. Hope you all get romance and thoughtfulness!
