As Thanksgiving approaches us I have been thinking about all the things that I am thankful for. Sometimes people get so excited about Christmas that they don't stop to truly think about what they are thankful for. I am first thankful for my God. I have always been a christian and had a relationship with God but after growing up a little and longing for a deeper, intimate relationship with God I am seeking that now. I am thankful that my parents taught me about him and the gospel as I was growing up and hope that i can continue to teach my kids about him and all his good works. "And those who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; for Thou O Lord, hast not forsaken those who seek Thee." Psalm 9:10.
My husband......oh how thankful I am for him. Scot and I have been together for over 10 years(since I was 18). We have grown so much together. I am thankful for his unconditional love for me and our kids. For his love of life and love of laughter. I have never met anyone that loves to laugh and make people laugh more than him. It is so cute(sometimes hahaha!
My children......They are so perfect in every way! I love how innocent they are, even when Kate has stuck her water baby down the toilet b/c "she needed to go potty", and how Jackson says "tank u" (thank you) everytime you give him something. They are both so different in their own way but fill my heart with so much happiness. I love teaching them new things everyday. I thank God everyday that I have them. I think they sometimes teach me more than I teach them. As I continue on my mission of teaching them God's word the verse I continue to drill in Kate's head is "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right." Ephesians 6:1. Sounds so simple, huh! NOT for a 3 year old, but we are working on it.
We will start our Thanksgiving feast this weekend as Allison and Leighton and the kids arrive tomorrow for the weekend. Susan has come home from Atlanta and Anna is coming home from the hospital tomorrow. It is going to be such a fun weekend together and I can't wait.
Baby Gregg will be staying in the hospital until after Thanksgiving so we will be going up to the hospital to visit him. He is doing good and is absolutely beautiful. God has had his hand on him and Anna this week. What a blessing he is.
Enjoy my slideshow of all the things I am thankful for.........There are many of you that I am thankful for that I didn't have pictures of on my computer so please forgive me!
