Well, it was that time that we decided to convert Brooke's crib to a toddler bed! Joe had it converted by the time I got home on January 13th. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought big bells and tied them to her door. We put the video monitor in her room as well and the alarm is set each night. The first night I didn't get much sleep due to paranoia and every little sound waking me up. I kept fearing that she would get out of the bed but she never did and still hasn't. We believe she is a little scared because she cries sometimes and we have to comfort her. Last night she had us up at 3AM and we think she is just adjusting. BUT, overall she is doing great and hasn't tried to get out of the bed or her room at all!!!

Brooke and I got boots for Christmas! She absolutely LOVES hers and wears them every day. My boots are really cool too...the first day I wore them I had a bunch of people looking at me like I was crazy, but they are just so much FUN!!

The other night Brooke was being picky about what she wanted for dinner again. Joe heated up Ravioli and she said "No!". Then he got out yogurt and she said "No!". Then he looks over and she took a piece of Ravioli and dipped it in the yogurt. Next thing we know, she took the yogurt container and dumped it on the Ravioli, took a bite, and said "YUMMY!", then continued to eat it all. I have never seen anything so "yucky" in my life. She must have an iron stomach.

This video is a few months old, but I finally got a copy from my parents and just had to post it!!

We all had a great Christmas! Brooke was not all that enthused with Santa again this year! She cried and cried.


Christmas morning was not quite how I pictured it starting out. Brooke woke up and wanted nothing to do with us. She wanted her "appisew" and cereal bar. We got that for her and kept telling her to go to the tree. Once she saw the tree and that Santa had came, she let out this hoarse yell "WHOA!" Then the "appisew" and cereal bar hit the ground as she ran to the tree.






"EE-maw" and Papaw came over on Christmas Day to spend time with us. Brooke likes to help everyone else open their presents too.




The Saturday before Christmas, we celebrated Christmas with Joe's family at the lake house. Brooke got to spend time with everyone and really enjoyed playing with cousin Jalen.

We went out to a playground after Brooke's birthday and my Aunt Karen took her birthday pictures! Enjoy!
