It seems that I'm seeing the choir kids everyday lols. We badmintonned today ! HAHA. But it's obviously not as hardcore as when I play with db and cherr. Just a whole lot of stroking. Not that I did much but stand around in my one corner of the court. =X Hahaha. I had fun (mostly serving failed shots or standing around) with yl, colin, guangjun and kenneth. Charsiew and roasted pork rice at yck market was gooood. Especially the chilli. Together with a mix of grass jelly and soya bean. Hurhur. (:
It feels good bathing in school. Despite the cold water and my distaste for public toilets. Especially when you're the only one in the pe dept toilet. And everyone else doesn't smell as good as you do.
I foresee me overspending in the next two days. BAAAAD. I just want to have fun. 'All I wanna do is have some fun..' Hurhur, that reaaally old song about santa monica boulevard. Bah. Don't even think I can afford to go to KL. Haven't broached the topic even. Actually apart from the bag, am not really planning to spend money during the GSS. How un-me. Hahah.

I've been reduced to playing (and losing) freecell. I can't access youtube and imeem and various social networking sites because my father thinks I'll end up watching p*orn. Like, wth. Some thanks. One year ago you could've spotted me slacking around with pong. But the one thing I love about aj is the wide expanse of blue blue sky dotted with fluffy cotton that I'm treated to. (:
There could've been five more girls (pong, adel, caryn, tmx, reg) but oh wells. I had lotsa fun with these three. The clerk, the engineer, the sailor boy :D***
So we took our lame photobooth photos ! I think I look 25% retarded but otherwise I quite like how the green of my blouse turned out. (: And I had a very nice crystal jade (fried rice & dimsum) lunch with yl, yay ! I sight-sang veggo with about half of the j1 chorus (: It's a pretty nice musica sacra piece. Chongping really shouldn't have asked about the shaving. AHAHAH he was turning red and we could so tell that he was imagining it !!!! LOLS.
Watched some of the mad boys play badminton. Colin was just scolding poor lawson all the way, lols. Pickaboys is not bad ah. I wonder whether he was drooling whilst watching shawn tok on campus superstar, haha. Headed to amk hub around seven ish with the small one, the short one and the obsessed-with-the-bigman one (OB ONE. OBIWAN ! hahahah I really think I'm a bit high). We had cheap (for once) ice cream ! :D Thanks muchly Colin for the sweet corn treat (: They're nuts. Nuts about the bigman. Anyhow, I'm REALLY SORRY hrk for making you wait ! But despite the poor turnout, I had fun just listening to vietnamboy and jq be all lame and cheesy. I'm so glad hrk asked wl along. Pity he had to rush off. Hurhur, we shall go to someone's house for drinks and cards next ! Hoho.. I'm glad that not all the 33 boys are mcps.
Oh, choir farewell invitations are PRETTAY ! Kudos to gwei, I am jealous ! Even though I do love my tonky. Haha. Badminton tomorrow ! Yayy, even though I'll be up against really pro people. Pirates has to be postponed, sadly, because they have prac tomorrow. Eyeliner and hoops for pocawe which is potentially this thurs !
Today was good yayy. Good food, good music (er as in the song. much to work on ! but don't fret !), good entertainment, good company. Hokays, am tired. Am going to continue with to kill a mockingbird which is great and so reminding me of roll of thunder. I hope I don't oversleep..

HAHA, I just watched POC2 today. (: Yayy, I thought it was quite good although rather confusing at some points. Am still quite high from the show so I'm wiki-ing and imdb-ing it. On a related note, Geoffrey Rush (Les Miserables) and Liam Neeson (Love Actually) are some of the very cool old actors I like.
Employee of the Month was rubbishy. I should've practised the piano instead. Rah. Now I'm just going to be murdered by the teacher. Death by mendelssohn and cpe bach. Bah. ):
David Sedaris is funny ! Everyone should read his collection of (apparently non-fiction) shorts, Me Talk Pretty One Day. And there's something wrong with my IE/firefox. I can't view youtube, friendster, facebook and imeem. ARGH. Zzzt. Am annoyed.
Am also annoyed that I am the one asking people to meet. My laziness compounds the problem. I mean, I believe that if you care about some things, some people badly enough, you will make the effort to create/sustain relationships. So it annoys me when I do not witness at least some participation from other people. At least I know this is not the case for pten. (: I guess it just comes to a point where we'll just give up on people along the way. Which is perhaps what happened with the two Es. Sometimes you just wonder what drew you to them in the first place. I suppose it's also what both sides make of the warning signs. Life's unexpected this way. It just brings me back to how if a friend's for real (furreal !), I'd know because the good people always stay.
Maybe it's just that I subconciously impose whatever beliefs and standards I hold myself to upon other people. And their shortcomings, their failures just disappoint me. Perhaps also I am often blinded by negativity and cynicism that I am quick to notice flaws. I don't know actually. Am quite a paradox and a hypocrite I feel sometimes. Ponders. Though I try not to be. I think.
The idea of being yourself. Head versus heart. Is suppressing certain emotions just so one can conform to certain moral guidelines set by oneself considered being yourself ? Because the act of suppression contradicts it all. Hahaha. I don't know why but this is a recurring thought.
Had a horrible nightmare last night. Extremely scary. ): Maybe God is trying to tell me something.
Sometimes when I'm quiet, it's because I'm seething and I don't want to end up saying something stupid which I'll regret later on. The tongue is a lethal weapon. Sometimes I feel like I want to throw things at people. Haha. Or maybe just throw things around.
I'm losing my small appetite. Now I just want to eat all the time, lols. Baaaaad. Considering lack of moolah. I had 4 pratas on thursday ! A record I tell you ! Good thing they were all plain ones. Oh, and I don't like to share popcorn. Hurhur. Because I don't like having to feel guilty for eating more than my share. On another interesting related note, shouldn't it be called popped corn ? Popcorn. Hahahah. I feel like having la mian and xiaolongbaos ! I'm trying to wean myself off fastfood though. It's pretty hard to find a place we can all eat at so fastfood is the default choice. And it's always just a rotation of kfc, macds, long john's and burger king. Rawwwr. I need new books to read too..
I shall go snack on timtams and find another book to read. I hope I wake up early tomorrow so I can practise a little. =/ The weather's not very nice nowadays. It's too warm ! Haha. But I suppose it gives us a good reason to go to sentosa ! And I still need a job ! BAHH.

So we had our (failed) paris 'that's hot !' hilton day where we weren't very glammed up haha. Met cherr's cool friend april and just people watched/rated. I had venezia ice cream, then a brownie with ice cream at nydc wheelock, then ice cream at island creamery RAHHHH. Phat. As I was saying, we went to borders to read seventeen, the factory outlet shop where I now feel like getting a shirt, then played a few rounds at the ps arcade (including sk's favourite drum game ahaha), then looked around this fashion abit. I left around 7 to meet pten.
It was great just hanging out with mich, qua, xunny and graces at island creamery. I met an uncle there ! Woah, he's rich ! Hoho. Anyhoo, we're missing jema and kiki and sally too (who really should be like studying haha). ): And grace will be in penang next week. And xunai will be confined the week after. Rawr ! On the brightside, kiki is coming back for a visit ! (: And and, there's a potential road trip thingy in the first week of july ! Hoho, we'll see..
I don't think I'm watching the girls hockey final tomorrow though it sounds like fun. Aloy's gig is by invitation only. Am badmintonning with db and cherr yayy ! I saw a nice bag at flesh imp ! It's snakeskin print. Hahah, quite unique. Nooooooo, spending unnecessary moolah. Piano and Missing this saturday. I hope I don't go missing in toa payoh before the performance itself haha. Went to watch the 3rd place basketball boys and girls. They fought hard, well done. (: I like to watch sports 'live'. It feels good being in the thick of the action. Particularly if I have a team to support. I've watched basketball, track (those wonderful wonderful times at the track screaming my heart out for beloved Cedar and watching the fabulous jlow run, hurhur. and as a psl, running onto the field with the banner. can't get any better :D), volleyball and soccer.
I'm actually 'researching' the PLAY songs. Hahaha. I think one winged angel and metal gear should be okay. Castlevania sounds really nice ! I couldn't even hear the choir in WoW though. =/
I'm so proud of jiayi !!!!!!! WOOOOTS SHE GOT IN !!!! I now know a future doctor, a future lawyer, a future vet, a future actuary, a future therapist, a future psychologist, future scientists, future businessmen and women, future accountants.. Heh.

1. I am a lazy lazy lazy person. To the point where I can just not bathe for a day and a half. It doesn't bother me unless I get nagged at or my hair turns really oily. I'm also the master procrastinator this way.

3. I don't like people not capping their pens which aren't in use.
4. Most of the time, I obsess over something for a while then I get bored. I get bored reaaally fast. I suppose I'm not really the type to commit to things for the long term. The piano for one. =/

Okay, I can't post photos, boo.
Just got back from the tj choir concert ! Saw shenweiwei, huijun (I think), peiwen and wenlong. The concert wasn't fantastic but the musical bit was highly amusing (especially enthusiastic pink scarf guy!!!) though faintly reminiscent of our musical extravaganza 5 years back (gosh, half a decade ago). They used the same risers..
Jianing and jasmine sang too and graces solo-ish bit was good ! :D hoho. I hope she liked the gift we got her. HAND ALIIIIIIIIVE ! We were having so much fun with it, haha.
NTU Soci accepted me. I think it's my 4th/5th choice. HMPH. I think it's because of the complications arising from the whole mass comm thing. Oh well, am rejecting them anyway !

Us at cartel on weds, the day of the vball finals. Zkai and gwei joined us later (they were totally byotching up the cinema and spidey 3 I tell you). The poor ones (saffie, mr and I) had waffles whilst the rest had pasta meals. Hurhur, from peeping to ripping to raping. LOLS. Poor nessa and uncle gpt.
I only got to watch the guys' match because I ended up having lunch with lch (and mquek later on, she's so nice, she let me take the bus) and because chongping drove off with all the RTs except me. RAWWWR to him. It was exciting and complicated but it was fun cheering them on and watching a certain cute player, HAHA. Coincidentally.
But we lost all 4 matches so it was pretty sad. But I should be down to support bball for their third placing match. I wish I watched the vball finals last year. More eye candy ! But I had choir, meow.
Anyways, I miss 'teaching' already. My wonderful neighbours (pherd's spot is strategic lols), my other colleagues, the mad friends/juniors around school, the kids (HAHA, weird word to use) in my classes especially my form class, the convenience, the money, the limited responsiblities.. Ayes, it was fun and I'm thankful for the opportunity. (:

I am so proud of the juniors. I'm proud that they can feel proud of themselves and say that they have no regrets. I'm proud of how they held their heads high still. I'm proud to be part of ajchoir (as long as I'm still considered as part of the family haha).

Am bloody tired because I limped all the way to the cc, waited for 40 minutes, played for 5 minutes, limped back to school just to hear the bell ring. So I rushed to class, waited ten minutes and found out that I was there half an hour early. Wtf. And the class. I now know how mrong feels. Yeah then I limped all the way back to the cc just to see the choir people leaving. My heart ached. But my feet died.
I was pretty annoyed with the people who didn't show up when they said they were going to. I barely got to play myself and I was the one who made a point to organise it. Thanks to sk (for helping to extend the booking) and I hope those who went enjoyed themselves. (:
Don't know why but I was really high during the elections. Maybe it's because I changed out of the heels. I love the juniors. Ahahaha..
Am glad because sherlyn gave me a (more or less) positive response for Play ! WOOOOOTS ! And thanks so much to gwei, zkaii and xiany for telling me about it and helping me ask as well. (: I hope it happens.

Syf draws near for the juniors. Tension, trepidation. But why so ? Because it's a competition, it's an assessment. There is the responsibility to produce results, to meet expectations. The conductor, the choir, the seniors, the school. There seems to be a not so hidden obligation to clinch the elusive goldwithhonours. A tangible status symbol of success. But by what measure ?
I still remember our wcg competition itself. My feet hurt like hell and I practically limped off stage but I felt good about myself. I don't think on hindsight that it was a personal best but I knew, I knew that in that moment, I gave what I could. I gave what I felt and it was gratifying. I still don't think it was anywhere near perfect or a fantastic effort but I walked proud. That's why the tears and fears and whatnot later on didn't even deter me.
It makes no sense to sing sing sing with regrets. One shouldn't give himself the opportunity to regret. Each and every single individual who can truthfully say they love music and that they've put in effort owes it to himself to make good music. It is knowing that you've immersed yourself in song and have done justice to the essence of the piece that makes a chorister untouchable.
It is difficult to say that music, singing, is not without boundaries. The limits and demands of the songs provide a challenge to discipline. It is when we are able to perform and shine even when constrained by obedience, by rigidity and difficulty, that we know we have reached a standard we can be honourable. Every choir should aim to be remembered for her dedication and passion for the best that music can offer. We should impress upon others not our victory, but our song. The anthem that is our commitment, spirit and love. Regardless of the hindering setbacks, regardless of the overwhelming technicalities..
Regardless of the distance.
It's not just about putting on a show that the audience won't forget. It's more about staging a performance that you will remember.

Today was fantastic until I reached home hmph but that's another story. Anyways, surprise surprise. Someone I never wanted to see again made an appearance. Nope, it may sound the same but there is a world of a difference. A long time ago I would've bothered but I don't know, all I'm currently offering is civility because let's face it, where trust was, a void remains. I don't really think my day was spoilt but all order I gathered was shaken, if only for a moment.
Maybe that's just another way of saying I haven't forgiven.
Anyho, went back for small groups today. Luckily the big guy wasn't there. I always get the feeling he hates me. Don't ask. I thought christina was locking me out ! Ahaha, the doors of the room the altos were in are weird. Quite entertaining, watching them trying to get things going in small groups. Poor eugene. Ahahaha, he's entertaining ! I can't help finding the look on his face funny almost all of the time. We (yl, ahloy, kenneth, joey, bosty, the conductor and the small one) went out after that for lunch at j8 and it was a good thing we did because yl saw her dearest ______ and went hysterically happy. Although we did have our fair share of fun laughing and teasing her on the bus, heh.
I was quite free after that so I took 55 and ended up wandering around amk/serangoon, chatting with the conductor and yl. Haha, we were so bored we walked him home. Lols, it was a nice walk. (: And yl very kindly walked me to the bus stop, THANKEWS :D I went to my grandma's place to nap and then headed to mind cafe, hoho. Saw mich on the way when I was actually looking out for qua..
Opportunity cost ! Rahhh ! But it's enough for now.
So I spent the rest of the day with graces, mich, qua, wai & quen sing, desmond and xunny. It was a pity sally didn't come ): Anyway, mind cafe rocks. We hung around for 4 hours.. We saw yisha ! She explained a few games to us. We all felt really bad because we got them to explain stuff to us and we just tried the games for five minutes before getting bored and rejecting them. =/ We played snorta again, jungle speed, some telepathy game, a version of charades, that's life.. Yup, haha it was fun ! Xunny is slowwww hoho.
Jgt alive apparently wants to join us on weds. Meow. Qua, xunny and I were thinking of ways to get rid of him. =X I'm sorry, he's just freaky and can he please stop bugging grace ! Mannn.. We're going to end up dispersing or using the toilet trick, lols.
