just a few

10 weeks

at 10 weeks, my sweet, sweet Audrey is just as precious as can be. She is getting cuter and prettier by the minute and is becoming such a fun little baby! She has really started to discover her voice, she watches our every move, she takes a few short naps and 1-2 long naps during the day and sleeps well at night (usually waking twice.) She has a sparkle in her eye that gets me every time I look at her and and the excitement in her body language is so fun to watch.

She has started to enjoy her play mats and bouncy seat much more and will now take a paci for a short period of time (I never thought I'd be so happy to have her take a paci! This makes it so much easier for me to go to the gym and take a shower while Danny watches her!)

She is wearing 0-3 month clothes still, but I went ahead and washed all her 3-6 and they are ready to go. We also used our last size 1 diaper and she's now in size 2. She's a chubby little girl and I LOVE IT!!!!

She loves music, hates car rides, loves to be held where she can look over your shoulder and not so much in the cradle position. Still doesn't like to be on her back or tummy, but surprisingly has great head control. She likes to be in the Moby wrap and will usually fall asleep if I put her in it. She also likes to nuzzle or bury her head in my chest. She's a little cuddle bug for sure!

She holds my shirt or a blanket when she nurses, and she has started grabbing at her own clothes.

She still spits up a lot... I go through about 10 burp cloths every 2 days. We are working on her cradle cap and I just noticed (3-3) that she has a clogged tear duct.

She continues to melt our hearts (including the boys) and we happy that she is ours!

a day at the zoo

For WEEKS now Owen has been asking to go to the Zoo. It didn't matter if it was snowing, cold or 10 o'clock at night, he wanted to go and we wanted to take him!

We spent Saturday celebrating a baby-to-be and painting our office-to-be and felt that we should do something fun as a family on Sunday, so we got up early, packed the car and headed to the zoo (and a quick to trip to the outlets in Gaffney where we scored 2 rugs :))

The Greenville Zoo is small and there is a nice playground at the entrance, making for the perfect trip with 3 in tow (anything bigger might have required a grandparent or single friend to join as reinforcement.)

a quick photo op before heading to see the giraffes and elephants...
clearly a behind shot :)
two happy campers!
and one in awe....

Danny and Ben looking alike :)
Checking out the hens...

and the "King of the zoo"
a few frogs...
Notice Owen and his map. We have to get one everywhere we go for him to mark off and direct us around. He is so much like Danny!
a little hand holding...
Gibbons (who put on an awesome show for us)
Until next time...see ya Zoo :)
Me and Audrey went too, but someone had to take the pictures :)

I threw a paci in my pocket just in case we could get her to take it in the car and although she didn't love it, it did soothe her during the drive there and back. YAY!

Also, I like to dress the boys alike or in bright colors when we go to crowded places. It helps us to see them if they get a way from us. Just in case you were wondering ;)

Ice cream fixes everything

Ben was having a meltdown afternoon and the sure way to fix it and keep mommy from calling DSS on herself, was to load the car up head out for ice cream and the bookstore.

Yep, all better...
and then a little reading time at Barnes and Noble...
Ben picking his favorite...
and then those eyes... she always gets me with those gorgeous eyes!

Our little family

We stopped by my moms on our way to Charlotte for a birthday party and had a little time to play in the back yard before heading out.

The boys loved Nana and Baw Baw's swing!

We all took turns before....
getting our fair share of kisses and hugs in!

As Kate of Jon and Kate would say, "It's a crazy life, but it's our life!"

Mackenzie turns 2

My cousin's little girl turned 2 last week and we drove down to celebrate with her this past weekend. She had a Yo Gabba Gabba themed party, Brobee cake and all, which the kids loved!
Most of the kids were scared of the cow, but Ben was in love! He followed the cow around saying "mooooooo."
You know Owen LOVES a party and party hats!
and well, he was ready to get the party started before anyone else.
Happy Birthday sweet Mackenzie Grace.
