Greek challenge at Manipulate This

"An ordinary day"

We were required to use one of the required models for this piece and the rest was up to us.  I chose the main Greek maiden and also the child because she was so precious.  Here are the credits for all of the resources used:

Entry for Emma Alvarez' Contest

Emma provided the very colorful, fall background for the contest.  The dog (Whisper), birds and ducks were all from personal photos.

I'm finding that it takes so long to document credits that for this one I used my own photos to enhance Emma's gorgeous background.

HUNGER GAMES - Quote 2

"A few hours later, I am dressed in what will either be the most sensational or the deadliest costume in the opening ceremonies.  I'm in a simple black unitard that covers me from ankle to neck.  Shiny leather boots lace up to my knees, but it's the fluttering cape made of streams of orange, yellow and red and the matching headpiece that define this costume.  Cinna plans to light them on fire just before our chariot rolls into the streets."

What a challenge!  I had some fun and just went a little crazy with this one.

Heroes and Villains at Manipulate This

I WAS UNABLE TO ENTER THIS IN THE OFFICIAL CHALLENGE BECAUSE I USED IMAGES OTHER THAN THOSE FROM Deviantart.  But it was still good experience for an unual theme.

The challenge was indeed a "challenge."  I had a difficult time with the fighter holding the lady to get the proper prospective but at least you get the idea.  We were to use the two main images for this challenge, the white fighter and the anon-nija.  I also used a texture background that was oriental along with an oriental Kanji brush.

Tomorrow is an Uncertain World -- I GAVE IT MY ALL

I joined another group over at Creative Souls called STORY TIME organized by Cindy Powell.  The digital challenges are based on quotes from books and Cindy slected the book "Hunger Games" -- "At first one, then another, then almost every member of the crowd touches the three middle fingers of their left hand to their lips and holds it out to me. It is an old and rarely used gesture of our district, occasionally seen at funerals. It means thanks, it means admiration, it means good-bye to someone you love."

It was a huge challenge for me because I am not into "futuristic" type books like "Hunger Games."
