Not just to the blog, which has sadly been neglected (I've never been good at it), but to a lot of things. I figure starting fresh is the best way to start, right? So here it goes! A fresh start to: my attitude, being a mom, being a wife, my family, dedication to my (new)calling, my job, organizing, being healthy, my happiness, and everything else.


I need life to be SIMPLE. So here's a fresh start to a new simple life!


I've decided to start here. I want this blog to be my place. I want motivation. I want memories. I want to express my feelings. I want a happy place where can share me. So here it is.

richard has always had a plan to expand his business and hang christmas lights so last year he got brave and did it. he started with a few smaller houses like our own and both our parents. he was lucky enough to have a current costumer that was interested in decking out their house and he took the job and made it look amazing!

richard is a real ambitious kind of person. when there is something he is interested in or really wants to do, he sets his mind to it and does it. this year he wanted to do an animated light show at our house...so he did. this is just a picture of our house when it's going, but it's much better to sit in your warm car with some hot chocolate and watch.

a week ago we made a trip out to the red barn with some of my family. one thing i love about fall besides the fresh smell, pretty colors, and cooler weather is...pumpkins. so of course we had to go to the pumpkin patch to find some.

we had a hard time getting this picture. as you can see ammon isn't very happy. he didn't want to sit there because it smelled like fresh 'farm hay' and he thought it was 'stinky'

after we got our pumpkins we road back to the red barn to get some ice cream and headed to matt & liz's house for some yummy homemade chili. it was a perfect 'fall' night and no better spent than with my family.

ammon started preschool this year and is loving every second of it. it's amazing how time goes by so fast. i have not been one of those moms that is emotional(sad) about it although he only goes twice a week for 2.5 hrs each day. i'm sure when he gets to 1st grade things may be a little different. i have been emotionally excited for him though. he walked in his first day and never looked back. what a big boy he is! so far he has been passing things off like: numbers, colors, shapes, etc. although i already knew he knew those things, i have been so happy and feel like i have succeeded(to a point) as a mother that he has made this progress.

i am so excited to see what this year brings for ammon and so proud of how grown up he is.

our family has once again decided to expand and the good news is.....

a baby GIRL will be joining us january 11, 2011
