Every morning when I wake up this is the picture I would like to see out my window. My dad going to work on a snowmobile. I am ready for it to let loose. I want it to be the winter that everyone talks about for years. I want people sliding off the road and crying because of the snow. I want to be able to really break in our house and snowboard off the roof. I want to be able to shovel our driveway in vain because it is snowing so much. So of course I look at the weather forcast for the next ten days and it is just like today. A gorgeous fall day where you don't have to even wear a jacket.
One of my favorite childhood memories was that it was a snow day and school had been cancelled. My mom had to go and run a few errands and left all of us at home. We were outside playing when the city snow removal truck came into the cul-de-sac. My brother flagged him down and asked him if he could push all of the snow from the cul-de-sac into our front yard. The guy said that he could do better than that and he pushed all of the snow from the neighborhood into our yard. When mom got home she couldn't even see the front of the house because of the pile of snow. We made our own resort for skiing, snowboarding, sledding, whatever. It was awesome.
