She has these wonderful bundles to meet your needs from adding to your original kit to getting te entire collection all at a discount.

Absolutely a holiday must for your scrapbooking stash.  Here is a layout I created using all the wonderful premades as well as adding my own special touches from the kits. We saw Santa and Mrs. Claus at EPCOT over Thanksgiving which was very special for us because we had never seen him at EPCOT. He quite the jolly ole fellow.  The premade paper stack, wordart, and page started made it super simple and then I just added the bling, alpha titles and Christmas tree.

Be sure to stop by Natalie's Place Designs to add to the original kit, grab those terrific premades, or snag the entire collection and a wonderful discount. Don't forget to stop by MJ-AJ designs as well as Lisa Campbell Designs for more wonderful inspiration and goodies.

I wanted to send my deepest sympathy to Newtown CT and the unthinkable loss of loved ones.  How sad it has become that our children can not be safe in school.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

This tragedy was unfolding the morning I flew to be with my mother and I cant wait to return this evening and hug and kiss my children.

This holiday season has been extremely hard for me.  Last week I had to fly home to be with my mother who is not doing well.  She is a cancer survivor but the brain radiation she received has been slowly taking her away from me.  She went into the hospital just before Thanksgiving and is now in a nursing home.  She is suffering from dementia which I would not wish on anyone.  It is so very hard to see my mother this way as she is the most amazing person I know. She has a wonderful spirit and zest for life.  She is my best friend and has been there through the ups and downs of my life.  I have spent the past week by her side, even though at times she doesn't know who I am, enjoying my time with her even if it's only for a short time.  I fly home this evening knowing that this will probably be the last time I see her. Her time is near and I pray that her last days are peaceful and without pain.

In honor of my mother I wanted to provide a facebook freebie that allows you to showcase those that you love during this holiday season. This is my mother and step-father at Christmas in 2006 after her cancer but before she started to get sick all over again.  I used Tis the Season as well as Tis the Season Add-on.

My step-father has been my mother's constant caregiver for the past 10 years, through chemo, feeding tubes, oxygen tanks, providing all her medicine, taking her to hundreds of doctors appointments, dealing with her loss of hearing, constant eye infections, and on and on...  He is an angel sent from above who even now refuses to leave her side.  He sits with her 12 hours a day and after talking with him these past few days making sure he too takes time for himself!!  He's afraid to leave her side just in case she needs him but his health both mentally and physically is just as important.

I ask this holiday season that as we all gather with family we may only see once a year that you tell them you love them, forgive those you may hold resentment, and take lots of pictures or video as you never know what might happen until you meet again. I am so blessed that last year we spent Christmas with my mother not knowing it might be her last Christmas.

Here is a little inspiration from me.  My first layout was from our very first Candlelight Processional we attended on November 23, 2012.  Mrs. Geena Davis was our guest reader and she did wonderful but the chorus and orchestra gave me chill bumps throughout the entire show.  All I can say is WOW!!

My second layout is from our visit with Santa Claus in downtown Disney.  It was so funny as Santa asked John Wesley what he wanted for Christmas Santa made him raise his hand and take the Santa Pledge... He could not call or text girls and girls could not call or text him.  It was so funny.  John Wesley told me later that was not going to work...haha!

My last layout I wanted to do something totally unexpected but found this kit to be totally perfect for...Periwinkle!  The blues and snowflakes were ideal!!

So don't forget to stop by Natalie's Place Designs to pick up this wonderful holiday kit...Aglow!  You also need to stop by the rest of the creative team, MJ-AJ Designs and Lisa Campbell Designs, as they have some wonderful freebies!  I thought I would share my wordart from Periwinkle.

My first layout I used Natalie's Place Designs template challenge at MouseScrappers to create a layout from our adventure at the Haunted Mansion over Spring Break. I love the greens in this kit and the mixture of the purples and black.  Her Wordart was prefect all I had to do was add a few ghosts.

Believe it or not but I'm still behind on books and one that I continue to work on is our October 2010 visit which included Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  This kit gave me the perfect opportunity to work on my Boo To You Parade.  Here is the full layout...

and then each side individually...

MouseScrappers Weekly Challenge

Hey everybody just wanted to let you know that I'm hosting a weekly challenge over at MouseScrappers from October 3rd through October 9th!

I don’t know about some of you but when I create a layout I have to use a template. My brain doesn’t work on “create your own” mode so one of the things I like to do is take a template and make it my own. So, for my challenge you MUST use a template and you MUST modify it in some way.

For full details go to MouseScrappers Weekly Challenge #154 thread... HERE

To make it easier I wanted to provide to you a couple links to two of my favorite designers of free templates.

One has a Template Saturday and the other has a Template Tuesday.

First is Linda from MJ-AJ Designs. She is wonderful and I have used her templates over and over again…literally! She has a terrific Template Saturday blog post that I look forward to each week.  Here is her link… MJ-AJ Designs

Second is Megan from Designs by Megan Turnidge. She has lots of freebie templates that are great for creating that perfect layout. She has a terrific Template Tuesday blog post that you can find here… Megan Turnidge Designs and her facebook page has freebies too!! Click HERE to go to her facebook page.

Here are my examples. First I used two of Linda’s (MJ-AJ Designs) templates to create my Castaway Cay layout from our recent cruise. I used template #64 and then used her MouseScrappers 2 template.

I liked the photo layout on the first template but I needed them to be horizontal rather than vertical so I rotated it right. I liked the background papers on the MouseScrappers 2 template so I grabbed those layers and dragged it onto my working template. I combined the two and deleted some of the extra paper strips I didn’t need and tahdah!!! Now I have the perfect template to meet my needs. Here is my completed layout...
Click HERE to go to MouseScrappers for full credits.
My second layout I used Megan Turnidge Designs Tuesday template week 26. I really liked all the star clusters and the film strip is what drew me in to the template. I simply enlarged the entire cluster and then dragged it down so I could use my large photo on top.

Here is my result...

I’d like to thank Natalie from Natalie’s Place Designs for donating this wonderful Participation Prize. I know she has a very busy schedule and a Disney trip coming very soon so I greatly appreciate her creating these wonderful Boo To You Pinwheels. They are so CUTE!!! Please be sure comment on her blog to tell her thank you!

So be sure to stop over at MouseScrappers to check out more details on my Weekly Challenge #154.  If you participate you will get those wonderful Boo To You Pinwheels as your prize!!  I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

Wishing you a magical evening!
