Disney World Vacation - First 2 layouts!
I dont' know about you but we've been having a very busy summer! The kids believe it or not have football practice and cheer practice this summer and it's keep us on our toes. We did however manage to sneak in a Disney World vacation..no big surprise! LOL!
It is by far the best trip we have taken in many many trips. It was mostly due to the fact that we had two special guests with us this time. First we took one of Adrianna's friends along who stayed with us for 7 days and then for 3 days we had another special friend who we meet on our previous Disney Cruise vacations. So the 6 of us had a great time!! Some quick highlights are we surprised the kids and stayed at Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village in a savannah view for 3 days, our Disney friend was a surprise, we were picked as the first family to open Magic Kingdom, and we were selected as the first family to open Chef's Mickeys...plus many more magical moments. All I can say is WOW!!!
We'll here are my first two layouts from our recent trip.
The Surprise reads:
A few weeks prior to our vacation I sent an email to Carelene to ask when she was leaving the ship and told her our dates that we would be visiting Disney World. I didn’t hear from her for a few days but then she sent an email and stated that her tour was up and she was flying home that day. I sent a response telling her we would love to visit with her but understood she was ready to go home. She was so excited and stated she was going to ask if they would change her flight so she could visit. Well over those few weeks it was planning... just in case. We didn’t find out if she was really going to stay with us until 2-3 days before our arrival. Neil had it all planned out..he would tell the kids he had to go to the doctor for his foot. He injured it a few months back so that would not alarm the kids. Saturday morning Neil headed to the port and the kids and I rode the bus to Hollywood Studios. We rode several rides and Neil called me and kept me posted. It was around 11:30 when I caught my first glimpse of Carelene. It was very important to her that she be the one to come up behind Adrianna and hug her first. Adrianna is always sneaking up on her when we cruise so now it was her turn. I took the kids over by the Play and Dine to look at the ducks in the water. I told them Neil was on his way so we could just take a break. Once I saw her I told Adrianna...look at the ducks. She immediately got up and was looking into the water when Carelene came running up behind her. All our short term planning and hard work paid off! The moment was magical and priceless!
My second layout...
We really enjoyed swimming at Kidani Village but I think they had more fun playing with the underwater camera that belonged to Carelene!! Stay tuned for more magical memories.
