i guess this is the way i blog. always a smorgasbord of 'catch up' items. oh well.
discovery gateway museum.
always crowded, but fun for an hour or so. and a good excuse to go walk around the gateway and expand my anthropologie wish list.
LOVES playing in the water
giddyap!
birthday.
my mom turned 29 again. she's going to have to amend that slight exaggeration in a couple years when i actually turn 29.
apparently sam (brother to the right of mama) is REALLY happy to be at dinner...
tulip festival.
i have ALWAYS wanted to go and was so sad by the thousands and thousands of tulips that hadn't bloomed. of course it was still beautiful, but tulips are what i went to see and tulips are what i didn't see much of.
looking at the fish
sniffing the flowers
easter.
skylar partook of her very first easter egg hunt at matt's parents house. she loved finding eggs. i loved eating the candy.
easter dress...so cute
(thanks zoe)
hide and seek.
skylar LOVES to hide. she'll get under the covers, under the kitchen rug, under a dish towel, etc. and scream, 'mom, i hiding.' that's my cue to "find her"--cause the toes or body mostly un-hid isn't a dead give away. as i walk around the room asking 'is skylar behind the couch" or "is skylar in the closet," she says, "no." she's a real sneaky one. finding her is really hard.
case in point:
date.
matt took skylar to provo beach resort while i got a pedicure. matt loves 'daddy time' with skylar and kept telling me how excited he was that i was leaving for the day. nice, i know. but, i'm not going to lie, i had a good day off. love my kiddo more than life, but sometimes mama needs a break.
in other non photo captured news, matt has started fire fighting. so far they've just done some chainsaw training and hiking, but so far so good. we'll see how it goes when he goes out on a fire the first time.
skylar is great. she's talking up a freaking storm and LOVING the warmer weather...finally. she loves going to the park so she can ride the 'weeeeee' (ie: slide) and playing outside with her sidewalk chalk (sorry clay).
i'm good. packing on the pounds and growing a big baby. in the last week i've had three people ask if i was having twins and a boat load more if i was over my due date. mind you most of these curious strangers where the size of a semi. ah, the joys of being pregnant.
and i guess that's it. just counting down the days (49 to be exact) until baby #2.
xoxo
p.s. name vote? we have four names we (er, matt) can't decide on. any preferences? not like i'm really gonna listen since I'M the one who's growing and having the baby, but maybe it'll encourage matt to pick a name.
