Camping!

On Friday night we went camping for our first ever family camping trip.
We started out by running around gleefully in excitement.

Then we set to work putting up our tents.

Unrolling our sleeping bags (Jack has a really cool Buzz Lightyear sleeping bag)

Unloading the wood from the truck

Getting the campfire going

And whittling sticks down to start roasting.

Jack spent a good chunk of time pulling the petals off all the flowers and putting them in his bucket.

Then he played some football with Uncle Andrew

Dallin roasted brats and cooked our tin foil dinners.

Jack needed to take a rest at the tent.

We popped some Jiffy Pop.

And had s'mores.

Then it was time to play catch before heading off to bed.
Unfortunately our nearby neighbors had a little too much to drink and rode their 4-wheelers around until 3am. That didn't make for the best night's sleep.

The next morning we had bacon, pancakes, and eggs.

Jack really enjoyed his bacon.
Then we packed up camp.

On our way home we stopped for a little shooting.

Jack shot the .22 for the first time.

But then he got distracted by the rocks.

So the boys had to take over with the gun.

We had a great camping trip and can't wait to do it again.

Random Summer Fun

The weather has heated up around here and I just uploaded some pics from my phone that show some of the summer fun we've been having.

Enjoying the hot air balloons

Splashing around in the kiddie pool.
Jack was doing great playing there on his own and then this week he decided he was scared of it
So Mom got in with him and now he's good with it again.
No pictures of that since Mom looked like a beached whale!

Warming up after some fun in the sun at Seven Peaks.

After swimming one day I let him hang out in shorts with no diaper and his little body just looked too cute.

He got a sleeping bag for his camping trip and was so excited that he had to get in and watch a movie in it.

Quack Quack

Jack knows his animal sounds and had fun feeding the ducks a few weeks, saying, "dwack, dwack," as he did it.

He had a great time throwing the bread and couldn't understand why they wouldn't come closer to him.

Happy boy!

Our cute little man!

Happy Father's Day!

To my wonderful husband who is a great daddy to both our little men...

To my dad, who has always been a patient, loving father...
And to my father-in-law, for teaching Dallin how to be a great man...
And Happy Father's Day to all the other wonderful dads out there!

We're Having A...

Today we went in for our 20 week ultrasound and found out that Baby Coffman is a...

BOY!
Here's his profile shot.
He wasn't shy about showing his boy parts - the ultrasound tech knew his gender immediately.
Everything looked healthy and he spent most of the time relaxing with his arm behind his head.

Now that I'm at 19-20 weeks I'm feeling much better.
I'm just very, very tired, but I think that has more to do with Jack than Baby Boy.

We're super excited to meet our second little boy!

Up Up And Away

On Saturday morning there was a hot air balloon festival.
Jack was very excited to see the hot air balloons.
He kept telling me, "Up!"
I think he wishes we had been able to take a ride.

He also got his face painted with balloons in honor of the day.

He's going through a phase where he hates to get his picture taken.
He either runs away or makes a stinky face when he sees the camera.

I was surprised there weren't more balloons, but we saw some others off in the distance.
Maybe next year, Jack will go up, up, up!

High on a Mountaintop

Tuesday was a beautiful day and they opened the gates up the canyon, so we loaded in the truck and took a drive.

Jack was a little nervous when the road got bumpy.

We stopped and had a yummy picnic dinner.
Jack thought it was very cool to hang out in the back of the truck.

"What's for dinner?"

Since we've had a ton of moisture this year, the rivers were raging.

Who can resist an adorable face like that?
