The Nana and Pop Pop Fan Club

Nana and Pop Pop visited for a couple of days and the Louisiana branch of their fan club had a blast.

We went to the park

They had hoped to go to Jack's baseball game but it was cancelled due to water on the fields from our big storm on Wednesday. So they showed off their skills in the backyard.

We even discovered Luke is quite the batter and hits left handed (although he does most everything else right handed)

We went to another park and enjoyed the splash pad. Even the adults joined in the fun to cool off!

It was a fun visit and we can't wait to spend more time with them!

Memorial Day

We started out our Memorial Day by going to the cemetery to see the Avenue of Flags. They had 925 casket flags on display. It was amazing.

We proudly put out our flag and patriotic wreath.

Since the boys were under the weather, we had to cancel our swimming plans with friends. But we kept busy doing yard work, playing in the sandbox

Riding scooters

And bikes

And grilling and having some summer treats like watermelon and guacamole salsa.

We are grateful for those that sacrificed for our freedom!

Another Year Older

My birthday was on Saturday and my boys treated me well as usual, despite Dallin having to take call for work and the boys not feeling well.

They let me sleep in and served me breakfast in bed.

Jack and I went on a lunch date and did some shopping for the baby.

My mom and dad sent me this wonderful necklace that has the names of all three of my kids.

We did a little decorating in the baby's room

They made me a delicious dinner.

And a delicious chocolate cake.

Here's me at 32 years old and 34 weeks pregnant!

Packing in the Park Days

School gets out tomorrow, so we know that things are about to get more crowded. Plus temperatures are slowly creeping up to the soon to be unbearable range. And my belly is getting closer and closer to popping. So we are hitting the park as much as possible. Like three times in three days! Different parks each time, of course!

And don't worry - we always make sure there's a splash pad to cool us down too!

Belated Mother's Day

Dallin was gone on Mother's Day, so we celebrated today.

Jack made this in Primary last week. Funny thing - I'm in Primary and was the one who put them all together, with Jack's help. Yet on Mother's Day, he acted like it was the biggest surprise ever and was so excited to give it to me. It was so adorable.

Today they were excited to make me a heart shaped sandwich for lunch. I love Jack's cute idea.

Dallin made us a delicious feast for dinner! Spinach stuffed chicken, extra creamy mashed potatoes, and glazed carrots. It was AMAZING!

And Jack was insistent that they make strawberry pie for dessert. I am so stuffed from all this amazing food!

And I got lots of hugs and cuddles from my sweet boys!

I love all three of my awesome boys!

Let's Go To The Movies!

We had a fun family afternoon trip to the movies to celebrate Daddy being home. We saw Rio 2. Luke really likes the first Rio and Jack likes a trip to the movies so we decided to give it a go, especially since it'll be hard to go to the movies as a family once the baby arrives.

They enjoyed their candy and popcorn and did pretty well in the movie.

Luke did tell us, "let's get out of here" a few times. It was a little long for a two year old. But I think he still enjoyed it for the most part.

And it was fun just getting out and being together!

Playing Our Hearts Out

We spent almost 3 hours at the park today and played, played, PLAYED!

The boys have been playing really well together most of the time now and loved playing with each other.

Don't worry - we stayed hydrated!

We also dug for dinosaur bones.

And played at the splash pad! We had it to ourselves most of the time.

And had a picnic lunch.

Such cute brothers that love each other!

On our way home, we treated ourselves to some frozen yogurt.

We were definitely worn out after our fun day! I found Luke like this an hour before bedtime.

Lafayette

Dallin has been working on a job near Lafayette, so we made a quick visit to see him. We drove over Tuesday afternoon. Daddy and the boys went swimming and hung out that night. They has missed each other a lot.

We enjoyed the amenities of the hotel. Jack slept in and enjoyed his continental breakfast.

Then we visited the Zoo of Acadiana. It's a small zoo, but it had monkeys

Giraffes

A white tiger (can you spot him? Jack didn't want to get too close)

Alligators

As well as bears, lions, leopards, and lots of birds. There was also a train ride that was a hit.

Happy to be on the train

Luke loved waving to the animals we saw from the train, including zebras and camels.

After a fun morning, we picked up some lunch and headed home since Jack has another baseball game tonight. It was fun seeing Daddy and going on an adventure!
