I Can Hardly “Bear” It

Jack had a Pack Meeting tonight where he earned tons of awards, including his Bear.  They are hurrying along before the church separates from the Scouting program.  Now they are on to working on to becoming Webelos!

Little Kicker

Luke had his first real soccer game tonight after several false starts (they got rained out just as the game was starting).  He started off strong and scored the only goal of the game.  They lost pretty badly, but now that they know what they are doing, I know they are going to improve.  Go, Tigers!

Little Mommy

Today Kate decided to pretend she was Mommy.  She took a shower because she needed to get a ready for a church meeting.  If I would try to talk to her, she would say, "Can I just get some peace around here?" And of course she wore this towel on her head to dry her hair.  She's got me down pat.

Exciting Egg-periments

We hosted preschool this week for the letter E! The girls were the cutest scientist in their lab coats.

We did lots of experiments with eggs.  Will it float, egg in a bottle, and of course, bouncy eggs...

Unfortunately our eggs didn't bounce as well as they should have.  But it was still fun playing around and making a mess.

Happy Egg Day!

The Golden Girls

For our Friday Field Trip, we decided to get in one last trip to the Golden Nugget Beach before it gets cooler.  Kate and Cobie were the only two able to come.

It was an absolutely perfect day - lots of sunshine and not too hot.  The girls played perfectly.

They loved getting the boats to honk as they went by.   It was the perfect send off to summer!

Happy Birthday, Busy Bea!

Our little friend Bea turned one and of course we were invited to her party since we are her part-time family.  It was super cute with a bumble bee theme.  Bea was dressed to the nines.  Kate took it upon herself to follow Bea everywhere and make sure she was having fun.  She's the best part-time sister.  Happy Birthday, Bea!

Soccer Stud

Luke decided he wanted to play soccer this year.  He got cleats and a ball and was ready for action.  This year he's going to play on the Tigers.  He was super excited for his first practice!

Return of the Dancing Queen

Kate has started another year of dance and she couldn't be more excited!

She's technically should be in the pre-K class, but her teacher said she's outgrown that class and needed to move up to the kindergarten class.

She may be small in the class, but she pays close attention and works hard.  We love our tiny dancer!

Houston Adventuress

While we were in Houston, we went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science.  Jack got a pass for his birthday and it's one of his favorite places..

Don't worry - no Kates were harmed in the taking of this picture.

It was fun to spend some more time with Dustin and Andrew before they had to head to the airport.

Then we did some swimming in Pop Pop's pool

You know our little fish had lots of fun.

We were pretty exhausted after our fun weekend.  So after some pizza, we all went to bed pretty early!
