This summer I had the opportunity to be apart of the Zion Helitack crew again. It was a fun and long season. I was able to accomplish training that was at the top of my priority list. It was hard to juggle the family and work, but I had an understanding and very supportive wife. "Thanks Babe!" Anyway I hope you enjoy the pics

This picture is a panorama picture of the Horse Valley Fire

This one is when we started a burn out of the Horse Valley Fire.

This was a small stop fire that started while we were doing the burn out on the Horse Valley Fire. By the time Chris Jensen and I were able to get there it had gotten too big and we had to just let it do its thing.

This is another picture of the Horse Valley Fire.

This is a tree that I came across while on the Horse Valley Fire while I was carrying the saw. I attempted to cut it down, but when I realized the inside was hollow I flagged the area off and left it. An hour later it fell down and we were left with putting it out. It took 4 fire fighters 1 type 6 engine 4 hours to extinguish.

This was on the Cliff Fire. I was asked to be the dip sit manager. This job can be difficult at times. Basically you are left to deal with the public, traffic control, and just make sure everybody stays far enough away.

This is when we helped do a
helitorch operation just outside of Beaver.
