The Chosen One

I am finally posting about the greatest movie of the year. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. It was incredible. The whole movie was hilarious and I was impressed with how well they followed the book. They, of course, left a lot out but considering how long the book is, they did a great job. I was sad they left the battle of Hogwarts out because that was a really good part of the book. But I read somewhere that they did that because there is a battle at Hogwarts in the 7th movie that is bigger and better so I'm just happy they will be including it in the next movie. Dan and I are such huge nerds when it comes to Harry Potter. It is sort of how we got together. When I met him for the first time he said something about being more magical then me and I challenged him to a duel telling him I knew way more spells than him. (yeah... real nerdy... i know!) but because of that he asked me out and we fell madly in love. ;) but we took 3 days of work and school off and went down to Utah to go to the midnight premiere with my family. Luckily they are a bunch of nerds too so it was a blast.

Dan and I went as Ron and Hermione. I sewed that 'R' on Ron's sweater for him. It took freakin forever too! But it was a hit. At the theater a girl came up to him and just hugged him to death. She was in love with his costume she couldn't contain it. And then we were walking into our theater and a guy told Dan that he seriously loved him so much. It was hilarious. and awesome.

Potter Geeks!

This is a close up of what my brothers shirt said. He even had some girls stop him and tell him they did fancy a snog... nice.

Cousins! Potter Geek, Harry himself, and Hermione. Also, I am incredibly jealous of them becuse they have legit, for real, Gryffindor robes, ties and all that.

The whole gang! Ron, Hermione, Tay, Tonks, Erin, Nick, Hermione, Harry, Diane, and the baby witch Kaitlyn!

The theatre was decked out as Hogsmeade! It was awesome. We bought a Gryffindor banner to hang up in our house. annnd Stephanie and Jake (Hermione and Harry) brought every flavor beans, blood suckers, and lighting bolt scar tatoos for everyone. Best night ever!

My cousin Kallie even came with us! Girls Rule.

My New Love

This is my new, beautiful guitar. Dan got me one for my birthday but had some complications actually getting it so we went and got this one yesterday. I am in love. I wanted a black one really bad but then when we were looking around this one just stood out and was different and I loved it! So I have been wanting to learn how to play for a really long time. I have been teaching myself and having some help from friends and my sister and so far so good. Usually when I want to try something new I stick with it for all of five minutes than move on because it was too much work. BUT I promised myself I would just keep it up and then I would get good at it. I LOVE IT! I can't wait until I don't even have to look at my fingers and I can just play.

Fireworks, Magic, & Bandaids

Dan and I both had to work on the fourth this year. We were there from 11am till 9pm but it wasn't too bad. Carino's wasn't very busy because everyone was enjoying the beautiful day instead of eating out so we were able to get out of there pretty quick. We went over to the Lonas-Kulisch Klan for some Fireworkin. The boys were crazy and shot fireworks from there mouths and at eachother. Us girls had fun discovering that we are wizards! We all suffered minor injuries but are recovering nicely. Overall, it was a great Fourth of July!
