Two Turtle Doves...

Oh I love this time of year SO much. Tis the season to be Jolly. and I am quite jolly. Thanksgiving was great! I had to work Black Friday so it was a short trip but we ventured up to Ririe, Idaho to spend the holiday with Dan's family. The roads were absolutely terrible to drive on so it tooks us over 5 hours to get there. But we made it in time to play some games, eat like crazy and relax with the fam. We haven't seen everyone since we moved so it was really fun to be with them again! Our little nephews are getting so HUGE and adorable!

Things I'm thankful for:
Summer. Fall Leaves. Dan. He is just perfect for me and makes me laugh all the time. He lets me talk his head off, whether its every aspect of my day, every detail of the shows I just watched, or why I need to be a famous movie star and what I would do if I was. He raps with me. He thinks I am funny. He is so sweet to me and can cheer me up instantly. He's a good egg and I think I'll keep him. Computers. Sewing Machines. Money. Jobs. Family. We both have such awesome families! They are the absolute best people. They support and love us unconditionally and are really funny. Road Trips. Creativity. Lakes. TVs. House Boats. Laughter. Friends. We have the coolest, funniest friends ever! Dan gets so excited to see his friengs and is happier to be with them then almost anything else. Weekends with friends are the best. Tights. Primary Callings. Cousins. Gospel. It focuses on families, progression, and happiness and its what gets us by and makes us better people. Places to live. Vampire Diaries. Cars. Pictures. Food. I would die without food. I know that is a given. But seriously, mmmm good food is just so good. For example: edamome, Smash Burger, Waffles and Dinges Truck, Shake Shack, steak with gorgonzola cheese and mushrooms, fried green beans, ice cream, thanksgiving dinner, oh man I'm drooling... Clothes. Boots. Movies. Nieces and Nephews. Books. Man there is nothing like a good book. I'm reading MINI SHOPAHOLIC right now- it is so cute and hilarious. I love that series. Harry Potter. America. Music. Furniture. Cute Bedroom Sets. Vacations. We love going on vacations. We love visiting friends and want to go EVERYWHERE we can. Baths. Airplanes. Opportunities. Love.

And now it is CHRISTMAS SEASON. Christmas music has been playing on the radio since Halloween which is really early but I don't even care because I absolutely love Christmas. I am going to pop in my Josh Groban Christmas CD and listen to that everyday from now on. I can't wait to decorate our home. I got out all of our decorations last night and plan to set them up today! I am a little sad about one thing... we don't have a tree. Here is the story... Last year after Christmas Whitt and I hit up the sales and I bought all new ornaments and decorations and everything for Christmas. I went to get a tree and yipee they were 50% off! I was about to get one when I learned that if I waited a few days they would go down to 70% off. I was all about that so I waited. And then at like the end of February all of a sudden I realized I NEVER got a freakin tree. How could I have forgotten? I was so excited about the ornaments you would think I would obsess about the tree until I had one. But I completely forgot about it and then it was too late. I know I could go buy one now but I can just get such a good deal after Christmas that I must wait. So this year we will be getting a real tree. Which I am excited about but nervous- what if I kill it or it sucks? No, it will be wonderful and Santa will love it! Yay I can't wait for Christmas. Check out JUNE site for a Christmas post coming soon to show you what I love about Christmas. Also every Christmas my dad wears an elf hat that has the elf ears attached, big reindeer slippers and his Christmas Shirt. It is the best.

My thoughts have now moved from fall leaves to cuddling up in blankies by the fire and my tastes have moved from pumpkin dreams to peppermint and hot chocolate. Light up your houses, sing some carols, and send Santa a letter.

Hallows Vs. Horcruxes

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. We of course went to the midnight showing and of course dressed up. I was Dobby the house elf and Dan was Albus Dumbledore, (RIP). We went with my brother and a group of friends. I loved the movie so much. I won't go in to details for those of you who haven't seen it, but it was wonderful. I thought it was slow and intense, just like it should be. It was a great translation from book to movie. The acting was better then its ever been and the cinematography was brilliant. It changed/left out a few things but thats going to happen no matter what when you make a movie from a book. I have heard a lot of bad reviews saying it was too slow and never solved anything. Which is true, but I didn't think it was bad. It had to be slow, it was supposed to be- thats exactly what they are going thru in the book and it was the perfect part 1 to an AWESOME story! LOVED IT. Long Live Potter.

Pound It

Our friends Ryan and Whittney came in town last weekend. Whitt works for an airline so they get to come visit a lot which is awesome because I hate living so far from them! We went and ate at SMASH BURGER- new fav- and stayed up way too late playing games. We played KINECT which is the new gaming platform on XBOX. It's like the Wii but you don't need controllers. In short, it is AMAZING. I love it and must have one. My friend Stephanie Lonas came in town also. It was so great to see her, it has been forever! We went out to eat with Stephanie Marcum and caught up. It was a fun night. We went to Carrabas and I had this chicken that was so good. It had sundried tomatoes, goat cheese, and this lemon sauce. Mmmm I need to eat it again. Delicious. Anyway, they are both preggo so it was fun to hear their stories and get excited for them to have little babies!! I love having friends come in town!

HALLOWEEN. I know its Thanksgiving now but I haven't shared our Halloween events yet so here we are. We worked all day then came home and Dan, our friend John and I dressed up as Ryan, Liam, and Margret McPoyle from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. We looked absolutely disgusting. I loved it. We went to a party with some friends up in Salt Lake. No one knew who we were, they just thought we were big time freaks. It probably didn't help that we tried to stay in character the entire night so we just came off as really creapy.
My family had a halloween party on Sunday so we all went up there in costume and had some really tasty treats. Dan and I decided we should probably go as something else so I went as a camper (I wore PJs and had a pillow and sleeping bag attached to me... comfy...) and Dan was just white trash. My sibs and cousins had some great costumes, it was a great night.

TAGGED

Potter Pants tagged me to do this so do it I shall...

1. If your husband was out of the picture what would you have named your children? (If you don't have a child, then hypothectically)
No children but don't worry I have thought about this way more than I should. For a girl I love the names Evee or Ava. For a boy I love the names Oliver, August, Potter, and Charlie.

2. When do you usually go to bed?
I go to bed usually after 1 or 2. I am seriously like a little kid. It doesn't matter how tired I am, I hate going to bed. I just want to stay up and play.

3. If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Right now I would have to say Ireland and Scotland. and Spain. and Italy. and Paris. and London. Lets just say Europe.

4. If you could change one thing about yourself physically, what would it be?
Hmmm... probably my teeth and my skin. Perfectly white teeth and very clear tanned skin. Yeah I could go for that.

5. If you could have one talent that you don't already have, what would it be?
So many things come to mind but I would have to say singing. I would love to have a voice like Lea Michelle. Then I could be famous... and kiss Finn and Puck.

6. If you had your choice, where would you live?

In Godrics Hollow.

7. What material thing is on the top of your "wish list"?
A house. And everything that goes in a house. I heart Ikea.

8. What is one of the dumbest things you have ever done?
Hmmm. High school. Full of dumb descisions. Once I was hanging out with a bunch of guys and they said they would give me ten bucks to drink a glass of salt water. Not wanting to back out of a dare I did it. The salt screwed up my electrolytes and by the time I got home I couldn't see anything and my hearing was going out. I ended up in the ER all night close to seizures. Pretty dumb of me. But hey I got ten bucks out of it....

And now I tag Erin, Tamara, McCall, Marlise, Karalee, and Maribeth. Here are your questions:

1. What is your favorite childhood memory?

2. When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up?
3. Which do you prefer... fruity candy or chocolatey candy?
4. What is your favorite movie to cuddle up, get some snacks, and just watch?
5. How did your husband propose?
6. Are you an early riser or do you prefer to sleep in?
7. Would you rather sky dive or bungee jump?
8. If you could be a movie star or famous book character who would you be?

Something Wicked This Way Comes

Well time to get coats, boots, and gloves out. Summer has officially gone. It took a lot longer this year for it to cool down around here but the cold has now arrived and I am certain it is here to stay. I am pretty excited to be cozy and autumny. Slash wintery because I think we are going to skip the beautiful fall season and head straight into the depths of constant cold. It even snowed today. I think I am only ready for chilly weather... not snow. But I can't be too picky. I went and got new boots yesterday which has been my only wish so now I am happy. And today has been such a great day. First off I had a great day at work where the time actually passed quickly! Then I had a Pumpkin Spice Forzen Yogurt. MMMMM. It made me shiver for like 20 minutes but it was so good! Tomorrow is $1 ice cream day so I will probably have to get another. Anyway, then I came home and we made cookies, watched Glee, and carved pumpkins! It was a wonderful night!

My brother and sis-in-law, Dane and Tam, made Phineas and Ferb pumpkins. They turned out awesome. Wheres Perry?

My brother Taylor made this Iron Man pumpkin. Isn't it unreal?

Dane did a PHOENIX on his pumpkin which turned out to be totally Bad A. Dan did this cool sun with flames one. My Harry Potter work of art. This is my favorite pumpkin I have done thus far in my life.
Oh Happy Day!

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezey

Well I haven't updated in a while... my b. But things are going great. Dan and I both have jobs now... hallelujah. I am working for Clear selling 4G internet. Its a full time gig and so far so good. Dan just got a job selling internet tools to real estate agents. So we're both in the sales world. That probably means we'll both become really rich and too good to talk to any of you anymore. So we spend our days either working or schooling then come home too tired to do anything but eat and watch TV. This is what happened when we first got married... and we both got fatter. :)

We did discover a new TV show that I really enjoy. Its called The Big Bang Theory. Pretty hilarious. That adds to my now quite long list of shows I'm trying to follow. I can't help it, I just love too many things. Shout out to DVR and fastpasstv.com for making it possible for me to stop living my own life and to dedicate my time to the lives of those on TV.

So Dan and I have been living in my brothers basement apartment with my other brother. I'm sure one day we'll be big kids and be able to live on our own but now, instead of being crowded and awkward its actually so much fun. My family is so awesome and I love that we get to hang out with them a lot. I am subjected to hours and hours of Modern Warfare on the XBOX which has resulted in Dan thinking my brother is his favorite roommate. But other than that we just play games and eat all the time. Two of my favorite things!

Harry Potter Premier coming so soon and I can hardly wait. I think I have watched the new trailer a thousand times. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. One day we will find out Hogwarts is real as is Dumbledore.

BOOTS. I need boots. I want boots. I must have boots. Tis the season for me to be in love with all boots. I have found some adorable gray ankle boots and some dark tan knee high boots and so many more that I don't know if I can live without. If it rained boots right now I would be overjoyed.

After reading my friends blogs I have realized how happy some things make me. 1. Good Pics. I wish I was better at picture taking. I love looking at beautiful pictures. 2. FALL. Usually the end of summer really depresses me but I have seen so many fall pictures and read about fall treats that all I can think about is pumpkins, apples, and fall leaves. I want some apple cider, a pumpkin candle, and the 1st HP video. and some cute boots and cute jackets. Not too much to ask for right? 3. Sail Boats. Sail boats are pretty and they make me think of boat shoes which I also love. 4. Traveling. 5. Friends. I have awesome friends and most of them don't live very close so I'm thankful for blogs so I can still stalk them.

Word of the Day: Bazinga... meaning "take that" or "gotcha".

La la la.

Shannnty Townnn

Friday night we went to our buddies house and hung out with friends Chase, Dave, Chon, Katie, and my bro Taylor. We went to Greek Fest which turned out to be really funny. We acted like we were standing in line even tho there was nothing in front of us and we got a ton of people to stand in line behind us for a while. It was a good joke. Then we played DOMINION for hours. Literally until 3am. Then possibly out of sheer tiredness we spent the next hour and a half destroying each other. Here is the video. It was honestly hilarious. Sadly I don't have all the videos of everyone getting rocked so you only see all the boys beating up on me. But still funny. It was a good night, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

Remember

What do we always say is the most important thing? ...Breakfast.

So Dan and I haven't been doing much. Just being awesome. We are still searching for jobs, which is pretty lame but I have high hopes that something will open up really soon! But the good news is, we get to hang out all the time now! We play Ticket to Ride, Settlers and now Dominion just about every night. I love games! Luckily we haven't gotten sick of each other yet. But if I keep making him watch Glee with me and listen to me talk about June and sewing all the time he might start going to his friends house a lot more. (Although I am convinced that he loves Glee as much as I do now) But here are some pics of our adventures the last few weeks. And keep in mind these are all pics from our phones, so quality is not great. DROID.

Dan started school again. He's my studying boy. He has mostly online classes so thats really nice. Hopefully he will be done about this time next year!
I was fortunate enough to spend a day in the ER. I thought I had appendicitis. Turns out I didn't so hurray. I am incredibly drugged up in this picture and I look great. I had to have a nose thing because the drugs made it hard for me to breath. The video Dan took of me is just pathetic. I kept trying to laugh but could only cry instead and I kept asking if my neck and my head were swollen.
My neice Kaitlyn just started Dance. I thought this picture was absolutely adorable!
We just found these beauties. There are no better games then the Super Mario Bros. I love Mario so much. Who needs Call of Duty crap when you have these to play?

Also, I just found this on Dans phone and I thought I would share because it is the cutest thing ever. Sorry I don't know how to flip it. This is our neice Livia singing I am a Child of God.

The Big Apple of my Eye

I'm a little late getting these pictures up but better late then never right? Dan and I got to go to New York to see our friends the Youngbergs! It was so much fun and I wish we could live there! Scotty and Maribeth let us stay in their amazing apartment and watch their Always Sunny in Philadelphia all night every night. ("Cat in the wall eh?!") We saw the sites, rode the subway, went to Central Park, rode in a cab, and walked about 100 miles. All the makings of true New Yorkers! I really do love the area S and M live in and if it were in the cards, I would move there in a second! The highlight of the trip was probably the food. Seriously good food everywhere! The Shake Shack- best burger I have ever had in my life hands down, Street hot dogs, A Salt and Battery, Levain Bakery, Gelato, Cheesecake, Big Daddy's Diner, Katz Deli, and my personal favorite: The Wafels and Dinges Truck. Mmmmm just writing about them makes my mouth water. We also got to see a Broadway show! I really wanted to see Wicked but we couldn't get tickets. (sad face) We went and saw In the Heights which was starring Corbin Bleu (my costar from High School Musical). It was so good! I was really impressed with the singing and the dances and the set. It was all amazing!

I kept asking Scotty and MB to take me to the famous people, but we had to settle with the wax figures at Madame Tussauds. We did see one famous person at the airport tho- John Tucker! He almost ran right into us, it was awesome. My favorite wax celeb was of course Rob Patt.

We also went to the Met Museum. It was SO awesome! We spent almost 5 hours there and could have easily stayed longer if I hadn't lost all feeling in my feet from walking so much. Our favorite part was the sculptures. There is just so much beauty in a good sculpture. Our particular favorite was the pic below. It is called "The Blind Lydia".

Now we are back in UT and back to real life. We miss New York and wanna go back soon! Thanks Scott and MB for putting us up! Note to the Youngbergs: just because you live in a really cool place doesn't mean you shouldn't come visit us in UT. Trust me there are TONS of cool sites to go check out!!

Granters

I stole this picture from my sister-in-law- Karalee's blog because our little nephew Grant is sooo funny, I just had to share it! Isn't he adorable? I guess this was his reaction to fire works! haha. Dan and I laughed so hard when we saw this. I wish we lived closer to the Taylors so we could play more and see more of this handsome little man!

Lisboa to Dansic

Oh happy day I only have 14 days left until graduation and only 5 actual classes left to attend.

This last weekend the boy and I went down to UTAH to look for jobs, apartments, and to play with the family. It was a success as far as playing with the fam but no luck on jobs or apts. I did get to go talk to a guy that has TONS of connections all over Utah and he helped me out big time so hopefully somebody will start hiring soon!

I think we played Ticket to Ride two thousand times. We stayed up soo late every night playing. It was awesome. I love that game. Just talking about it makes me want to go and play.

FOURTH OF JULY. We got to go to a fireworks show in Riverton, near my sisters house. It was a good show. We got to the park 2 hours early and found absolutely no parking and way too many people so we went to a nearby church, set up there and enjoyed the fireworks. We played scategories before it got dark. That game is so much fun but I can't play with Dan or my brothers because they never will count my answers. I think I am incredibly creative but apparently they do not. After that game, my little sister Jessie and I took turns doing monologues for the family. How embarrassing of us. The fireworks were great- my neices were hilarious. They LOVED them! Cam kept running from person to person to tell us each about the fireworks she saw and then she would get distracted by something on the ground for a few minutes, then remember the fireworks and start running around again. She told her mom, "I love the fireworks and the fireworks love me". It was great.

Speaking about my neices... look how cute they are, all ready for pool time. Kind of struggled getting a picture where they were all looking and happy.

So Whittney and I have officially started making clothes. It is so much fun! I'm not that great at it but I love it. We have mostly made skirts, but we are starting to make shirts and dresses as well. Since I got a sewing machine for my birthday, all I wanna do is sew, sew, sew. When I first opened it, I was playing around on it and ended up staying up all night because I was having too much fun to stop. We'll have to take some pics and showcase our work sometime :)

Happy Procreation Season. Everyone I know is pregnant (I am not) or just barely had a baby. I'm so excited for all you baby havers!

NYC here we come in 20 days. I can NOT wait.
ECLIPSE. Naturally, the girlies in my famdamily got together to go see it. Can I just say I absolutely loved it! They finally got Edwards makeup right, Bella did much better, and they did pretty good at staying with the book. I have loved every film so far of this series but mostly because I love the books so much. This movie was just done so much better and was so good. Jacob is so hot, its hard not to be distracted by those muscles. mmmmm. I really liked how they had more of the Seattle vamps in this... going along with Steph Meyer's new book The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. I loved that book, and I'm glad they included some of it in the movie. Anyway, I loved it and I love Edward.

murph!

Irksome...
1. BAD FOOD. All of our food always goes bad before we eat it. It is depressing. It is already difficult to shop for only two people but we only eat at home a few times a week because of work so our food goes bad extra fast. I feel like we throw away so much! I think I need to start only buying frozen foods...
2. RAIN. It has been raining for what feels like years here. I'm so excited for summer to actually start and not just tease me. It will be warm for a few hours a day and then it is gloomy and rainy. Rain Rain Go Away!
3. SCHOOL. My Anat and Phys class is REALLY hard.
4. JOBLESS. We are moving to Utah soon and we still have no jobs! Yikes. It makes me nervous because I have been hearing so many people say it is impossible to get a job right now! If anyone knows of a good job in Salt lake...especially in Advertising... let me know!

Oh sweet HAPPINESS

1. GRADUATION. I graduate in less then TWO MONTHS! I can handle that!
2. GLEE. Lately I have become obsessed. I love it times ten. I watched all the episodes on the DVD and then caught up on Hulu so now I can watch it on TV. Ever since I started watching it, I sing ALL the time. I'm not a good singer at all but I gotta practice in order to be part of the cast next season.
3. HAIRCUT. I chopped my hair off. Well actually my sister chopped my hair off. But she cut about 6 inches! It was time for a change so snip snip. I'll post pics soon.
4. FOOTBALL. Flag football season has begun and we have an awesome team. We are The MonSTARS. It is safe to say we will be winners.
5. ST. GEORGE. A few weekends ago, Dan and I went to St. George with my brother and some cousins. Being in the glorious 80 degree weather and spending the majority of my time by the pool and Dan's on the golf course made me realize that one day we need to live in a place like that. I love the heat and being outside.
6. PRIMARY. Last Sunday, one of our primary girls was talking to me about my hair cut. Then she said to Dan, "I like your hair cut too! It looks like a peninsula!" Which is hilarious because he didn't get a haircut, he just has receding hair lines. Bahaha.
7. EDAMAME. I love edamame beans. I have been eating tons and tons of them. Soo yummy.
8. ROLLER BLADING. I went roller blading last night with my cousin and my friend Bri. I haven't done that in a really long time but it is awesome. My cousin has a warehouse that is so perfect to roller blade in, I think we will have to initiate some disco roller parties in there soon.
9. NEW YORK. We are going to New York at the end of July to see the sites and visit our Youngberg friends. I am so excited! Dan has never been so it will be great! I am hoping we will be able to go and see WICKED and maybe another show too. Can't wait!
10. DAN. Dan is the best. No matter what is happening in our lives he always is so positive and makes me so happy. He's the coolest of the cool.

PS: It is already the end of MAY? That is crazy. Time must fly when you're having fun.

Newest Nephew!

Gabriel Rathbun Stokes
Congratulations to the Stokes family for their newest addition! Isn't he the most precious little thing! He is 14 days old now and SOOOOOO cute!

1000 Business Cards

A few weeks ago I went down to Utah to sell our June stuff in a "What Women Want" Expo. We shared a booth with my sis and my cousins. Whittney and I were selling our suitcases, clips, headbands, sweater headbands, and rings. My sister Erin sold her adorable tutus and carseat covers. My cousins sold their headbands and gorgeous jewelry. It was such a blast. We had SO much stuff, it was crazy. The second day we organized it a bit better than what you see in the pic. We were actually only supposed to have HALF this area, but the company that was next to us never showed up. SCORE! It was really lucky because there is no way we could have fit all of our merchandise into half of that. It was our first time ever doing anything like this and it went really well! It was a great experience and now we know what to expect the next time we do this.

check out our sites!
mine: http://www.junebya.etsy.com/
Whitts: http://www.junebyw.etsy.com/

If any of my peeps would like anything, I'll give you better prices. Etsy prices are a little bit higher because of the costs of posting. But normally we sell our headbands for $15. Let me know what you think.

Happy Anniversary to US!

Two Years today! I can't believe it has already been two years! I'm so lucky to be married to this guy. He's my bestie. I love that we still love to have fun and honestly enjoy being with just each other. It is the best. He is the love of my life and he makes me so happy! Yay!

Impluse Buy

Dan and I try not to buy too many things that we don't need. It doesn't work very well but we try. Whenever we go to the grocery store we always end up coming home with way more than I had written down and that is kind of how it is wherever we go. BUT we have avoided buying anything off of an infomercial..... until now. A few weeks ago we were watching TV really late and an infomercial for this hair removal stuff came on TV. It looked pretty cool but they were offering ROBES with it. For some reason we thought it would be something we needed so we bought it right then. I actually forgot about it until today when our stuff came in the mail!! We got robes, head towels, facial hair removal stuff and other hair removal stuff. I really can't figure out why we thought we should buy this. But what can you do.

April Showers... no wait...April Blizzards

Instead of Spring weather we got 6 inches of snow! grrrr. However, as much as I am looking forward to the warm weather, I can't complain cuz I got to go snowboarding! I hadn't been in two years but the mountain had tons and tons of snow so Whittney, her sister Emily, and I spent the day up there. It was a pretty crazy day beginning with the windshield wiper breaking then getting stuck in the snow. Then on the mountain it was snowing so hard that it was impossible to see. We spent most of the day yelling eachothers names or getting stuck in waist high snow! It was so much fun to get out there, but I feel like I need to go again because I didn't do my best. Good news is, they are staying open another week so we can go again next week! It was a blast and it made me wish I could go way more often. If I did, maybe I wouldn't be so worn out from just one day of boarding! I think I have slept for 15 hours! Can't wait to get back up there!
