Hiking at Crystal Cove

Crystal Cove State Park had some great outlook trails!
After we went hiking we went and hung out at Laguna Beach! It was our favorite beach so far, the sand, waves, scenery, everything was just so beautiful!

Crystal Cove State Park

I love watching the sailboats!

Crystal Cove has a bunch of tidepools. When it is low tide you will see a bunch of cool creatures in the small pools! We saw lots of Crabs, Sculpins, purple Urchins, Mussels, Hermit Crabs, and these crazy big Slug looking things (We think they are called Sea Hares)!

The beach was really fun to walk on because of all the shells!

There were crabs everywhere! I didn't like them much, they reminded me too much of tarantulas.

These are the Mussels, they are all over the rocks.

Here is proof that water does make its way to the ocean eventually!

Our Trip to Los Angeles!

Unfortunately even though we tried to plan how to avoid it, there was no way around the L.A. traffic!

The skyscraper's were so tall it made us dizzy to look up at them!

Fantastic Fountains!

Sight Seeing!

The Bradbury Building is a 1893 building that is amazing! The building has iron railing, blond-wood and brick interior, ornate moldings, pink marble staircased, and a Victorian style skylit atrium that was almost 50 feet high!
The Bradbury Building also had birdcage elevators that were what they used back in the day! Those of you who have seen 'Thoroughly Modern Millie' (with Julia Andrews), it is totally like the elevator in that movie!

I am just chill'in is Charlie Chaplin!

The Richard J. Riordan Central Library

This is the eight story atrium that is inside the library! It was amazing how huge this building was!

Behind the fountain and all the trees you can see City Hall

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA)

This crazy piece of art was out side of the MOCA! It was just a huge pile of junk that is supposedly art! If you look closely on the left Dan is admiring the art with a friend.
Dan's newly found friend was however only a statue. He and Dan stood with open arms in awe at this amazing art masterpiece!

Walt Disney Concert Hall

This building harbors L.A.'s major performing arts like the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Opera, the Center Theater Group, and the Los Angeles Master Chorale! It was also a former site of the Academy Awards.
This building is made of stainless-steel-clad. I thought is was cool that the building was like one giant mirror!

Lillian Disney loved flowers, that is what inspired this rose fountain. It is made entirely out of bits of Delftware, Mrs. Disney's favorite collectible.

The architecture was amazing!

Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels

We wanted to go check out this Cathedral in downtown LA. When we got there we saw that mass was in 10 minutes, so we decided to go! It was my first time going to mass, it was different but cool to go to!

They had really neat murals on the walls, I think they are all saints?

Hollywood!

Hollywood, like the rest of LA, is a very busy place! There are people everywhere trying to sell things to the tourists. It is fun to experience!

This was the famous Grauman's Chinese Theater that has hand/footprints of celebrities!
Dan decided to pose next to our governor's prints!

I have always wanted to hold hands with Cary Grant! Oh baby!

Visiting Venice........California!

Visiting Venice Beach was such an adventure! The boardwalk was really fun to walk down. There were cool shops to walk into and lots of interesting characters to look at!

Watching the muscle men workout at Muscle Beach!

Giant DIXIE Cup!

Riverside is the home of the largest DIXIE Cup! You learned something cool today!

Botanical Gardens

Can you see three turtles in the pic above? (one in the water and two in the log!)
