Please tell me this doesn't just kill you...

So the other day I went in to check on William and found this: Yes... I did check to make sure he was breathing and not just smashed in the corner before I went to get the camera. And of course he just happened to be wearing his pumpkin outfit.

This has been one of Will's new sleeping positions. Half the time it's because he'll fall asleep while cuddling with his elephant, and then roll over on to it, like in this picture. But a lot of the time, I'll watch him roll around in his sleep, and he'll pull his knees up under him like he's ready to crawl. He NEVER does this when we play. He's still rolling everywhere, and starting to do an army crawl, but I hardly ever see him pull his knees up like that when he's awake. Who knows... maybe he'll sleep crawl before he does it when he's awake!

Pumpkins at Gardner Village

In my unbiased opinion I must say that this kid is so darn cute!Seriously. I don't think it gets much cuter than this!
Danny has been so busy all week so we decided to spend Saturday afternoon together, the three of us, and went to Gardner Village. That is a cool place! We loved walking through the Christmas Shop and the fabric store (a good find!) and just enjoying the Halloween season! We took William in his Halloween costume (I told you it was cute!) and found some great picture spots for him! He had a blast playing with the leaves and dirt and cheesed it up for the camera. He drew quite a crowd as he sat there playing, chattering and laughing! This is just one of my favorites. More to come later!

A busy update

Someday it will be nice to feel like we are "settled in" here in our new place. Moving in is the slowest process ever. Just finding a place for everything. I think we are close though. We found a great TV/bookshelf combo type thing at IKEA that I think will solve a lot of our problems. Too bad I went all the way out there only to be told that the last one they have is broken, but they are getting more in a few weeks. So we'll wait. Seriously, I had never been to IKEA until we moved and now I'm addicted. We've found all kinds of great stuff there.
And we are excited for Halloween. Just you wait... William looks so dang cute in his costume.
Other then that here are some other things we've been up to:

William is still a vegetable who loves watching Baby Signing Time. He gets really excited when we sign "eat." Woo hoo. (this picture was taken before we moved... He doesn't fit so well in the bouncy seat anymore). This is not a great picture, but he conquered sitting up not long after we moved in. About two months ago. Now he's working on the army crawl. He mostly just rolls everywhere though.
We went to the Harvest Festival at the Zoo! It was fun to spend the afternoon there with the three of us! Danny is usually at work when we go.
And of course we had to get a picture with the Lion drinking fountain...Careful, it's about to eat William!
We also loved listening to General Conference this year. I think it's going to be a new family tradition to go listen to a session on the grass at Temple Square. They broadcast it over speakers all over temple square and over by the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. William loved being outside, which allowed us to listen. What a beautiful place to be! We feel very lucky and blessed to live so close to Temple Square!
My good friend Yolanda (a.k.a. Melanie) stopped in Salt Lake before taking off to Perdue to get her masters! Crazy girl. So William and I joined the girls to go out to lunch. We love our Brighton friends!Last month we went up the cabin again, and had fun going down to the lake. It's always fun to be with the cousins, and I think William loves watching Kensie Lincoln and Jackson.
They went out on the boat with Danny and Grandpa while William and I held our spot on the shore.
By the way, I have to say that our Baby Bjorn carrier is one of the best purchases we made in preparation for William. That thing is so great! William loves being up and seeing what's going on, and it's comfy and super easy to use!
Remember how I said William is rolling everywhere? Yup. I was cleaning up in his room, and let him roll around. I looked over and he was under the bed, proud as could be!
He just stuck his feet up against the rail and looked around at his new discovery. We never know where he'll end up! It's fun to watch this cute guy explore!
We spent part of last week in Park City with Danny's family. It was fun to see all the cousins together and to have a week to relax and hang out. We went swimming, to the outlets (check out Williams cool new winter hat. He was very excited about it. ) We also went for walks, to the shoe tree, out to eat, up Main Street (to the Christmas Store) and hung out playing games and doing fun crafts.

This guy loved to swing!

Baby Mozart

So... we are breaking down and getting the internet on Monday. We went on a wild goose chase trying to find a way to watch conference at home. We figured if we were going to buy a digital box, we might as well just get a new TV (ours was kind of old and large. Don't get me wrong, it's a great TV. We just figured we'd watch conference in style). So we got a new TV, and then had to find an antenna. So I got a cheap one at Smith's and we got 6 channels (all were those religious pastors preaching on TV shows. Some were in Spanish, too). So I took it back and got a better one. This time we got... the same six channels. So I went to Radio Shack. I got an AMPLIFIED antenna. Oh wait... same six channels come on that one, too. It turns out we live in some what of a dead zone. So we figured since our new TV has a spot to hook a computer up to it, we'd stream conference on to our TV. I called Comcast... and they can't come till Monday.
So we'll be listening to it and watching it with our families.

And actually I heard that they put it over an intercom on Temple Square. So we are thinking maybe we'll go take William out and let him play outside while we listen to it.

On one of our walks we took a tour of the Conference Center yesterday. If you haven't then you should! It's amazing. All the art is original. I'll have to show some of my favorites later. But it's a pretty incredible building to walk through!

Anyway, once we have the internet maybe I'll post more. Until then, here are some updates:
William still loves the water. We have different fountains we walk to almost daily. He gets so excited while he watches them. I love it. The pool was closed for a few weeks, so we've taken advantage of this week and have gone just about everyday.
He is getting so good with his sippy cup! So good at getting it all over himself. Sometimes I'll hand it back to him in the car to keep him entertained, and when I go to get him out, he's drenched. Full on. Carseat and all. But it's cute.
I got a library card. I didn't realize the library was so exciting. We go almost weekly. Four blocks away. Not bad at all. I've been catching up on all the great Roald Dahl books, Lois Lowry, and other ones I loved reading as a kid. We also pick up lots of DVDs like Shirley Temple movies (I LOVE her), Little Rascals, and other ones I loved as a kid, like Escape to Witch Mountain (the old one), Secret Garden and oh so many others.
William is a cheese ball. I love spending my days with him. He is so mobile. He rolls all over the apartment. No crawling yet, just rolling. It's a hoot.
Best of all: We got our piano moved in!!!! It has been so nice to have! It's so fun to be playing regularly again. I've got a lot to catch up on. And best of all, William loves it, too. He'll roll around the floor while we play (and occasionally sing along), or I'll put him in the bumbo next to me and he'll play with me. My grandma was impressed with how well he pounds. :)
