College. Job. Graduation!

Today (Wednesday) marks the beginning of the end. That's right only 1 week left of school for me for FOREVER! I couldn't be more excited, scared, hopeful and happy! It's been a great 4 years, lots has happened and it is time for it to end. I have loved Utah State, it truly is the best school! We heart USU! I wouldn't change a thing, and am so glad I made the decision to finish! It's so worth it!

Unfortunately do to budget cuts they no longer hold December ceremonies so I'll have to wait till Spring to walk....but I'm okay with that! It will be warmer and Alex and I will walk/graduate in the same month! So great! We have realized over the years that we are extremely blessed to be able to go to such good schools and finish our degrees. I love my new job, and feel like I made it to the goal, a career! It is so wonderful and I thoroughly enjoy working in finance for such a great company!

In the mean time my sweet husband is onto his last semester of his Masters!!! For his degree he has been set up to do several clinicals all of which he has loved.....it started with the Salt Lake Bees, then the Weber State football team, then North Ridge high school and then assisting with a family practice physician at the Layton clinic. He is a busy boy! And is loving it. He has had some really awesome experiences while he has been rotating clinicals and traveling with the team! Take a look....

His first trip with Weber State football team was to Montana, then he went on the big trip to Texas Tech! He had such a great time traveling, eating like a king, and being a trainer!

Pretending like they're cool. ha.
 They're legit.

Trainers! (well almost)

We bleed blue and sometimes purple too.

Halloween!

Costume total: $36 dollars..not bad!
Wow. Where does the time go. Seriously I am so busy these days! I thought I'd do a quick post about Halloween since it's Christmas time ha! Still need to blog about our wonderful Anniversary! Anyway we love dressing up. We have done it every year that we have been together and look forward to it! This year we went to Bree & Tyler's home for a fun Murder Mystery party! Bree sent out invites with the 50's theme and characters attached to it. Alex was a business manager of a large company and I was the daughter of a rich family and we were both part of the killers ha. It was so much fun, and we loved it! Our friends are so great! Thanks again!

My Golden Birthday!

23 on the 23rd...Golden!!!I love birthdays. They are so fun to celebrate. I love that they call for a time when people recognize your special day and that you get to do something great! I've always enjoyed giving presents and love the holidays!!

My birthday this year was perfect! Lets start with my husband, he made sure to make sure it was very special. He always seems to know what I really want. The weekend before my birthday I woke up to Alex saying I should get out of bed (he was up earlier playing ward basketball), I wondered why he would say that...so a few minutes later I jumped up only to find a trail of $10 dollar bills and love notes all the way from our bed, down the stairs, through the small hall to our kitchen table. Can I just brag for a second....what a sweet husband I have. He is so creative, I love that he doesn't just stick to the same old things. I was very happy!

The love notes were so cute, each said something he loved about me. The final note explained the plans for the rest of the day! So we got ready, ate lunch, went shopping at nordstroms (the lady thought I was a little weird when I paid with $10 bills ha), my mother and father in law coming from Pleasant Grove to take us to dinner! I was so excited that they came to just take me out for my birthday! It was so great! Shonagh, my mother in law also brought her famous peach pie for dessert, its So good! (I forgot my camera so no pictures of that :( )

On Wednesday, my mom and I went to the Lion King!!! It was awesome! Honestly the best show I have ever seen, and highly recommend it! Then on my real birthday my cute mom called asking me to meet her at the store....and she had picked out for me the cutest outfit!!
Thursday the 23rd, I came home from work and there were pretty yellow flowers on our table, Alex and I spent the day/night at dinner, did some more shopping and relaxed. My parents surprised me with a cute sofa/entry way table that I've been wanting for awhile now!! Sunday we celebrated at my parents house! And at work they bought everyone cookies (which are my favorite) from Dough Girl!! And my sweet old boss Lacy brought me dough girl cookies too! So great!
So thank you to everyone for making my birthday so wonderful! It was such a great week! I am very grateful for all of you!!! Yay for birthdays!

Blog.

So my blog seems to not be working right. A lot of people have told me that it isn't updating the blog lists and you can't click on the side links. I am trying to fix it, not sure what is wrong. But anyway there are two posts I've done recently below this....
and If anyone knows how to fix this please tell me. Thanks!

So busy....August & Some of September

Well here I am again, 2 months behind in blogging. Sorry for the long posts. Alex and I feel like such busy people...because we are. I started a new job that is going great, am going to school full time online (15 credits), and received a new calling in our ward. I was recently called to be the 2nd counselor in the Relief Society Presidency. I am very grateful for it and so excited for the things to come. I have such amazing women in the Presidency with me and a wonderful committee too! So between those three things, I try and be a good wife and make lunches for Alex and yummy dinners (most of which are from my Freezer Meal group!). It's tough but won't be much longer until I will be graduated and can be a little more of a normal person again ha. Alex is still working at the hospital, helping with the Weber State football team and going to school full time. Needless to say we fully enjoy our weekends.

In August we went to the Real Soccer Game with my boss from Zions, Lacy (now old boss). It was way fun and the stadium is amazing!

Around that same time I had put in my last two weeks at Zions Bank. It was very bittersweet. I loved working there. I am grateful for all of them and for all that they've done for me. Between the flowers, loads of treats, Costa Vida, and sweet gifts I felt so appreciated and cared for by my co-workers! Lacy our csm and Jim our branch manager are so amazing!

Adams Canyon.
Living in Layton my whole life you would have thought that I would have hiked Adams Canyon before...but I haven't and since Alex is from Utah County and doesn't know this area we thought why not! So we went with our good friends and neighbors the Miller's.  Ha They gave us the impression that it was a easy quick hike, or so we thought. Little did we know that 3 1/2 hours later we would be done (mostly because it was labor day and there were so many families on the hike too). It was so pretty and such a great hike!

Enjoying the view.

And then we made it to the waterfall! So pretty!

That very morning we all decided that since it was Labor day, and we had the day off that we should go golfing...so we golfed 9 holes but took as long as 18 because it was way packed. But we still had a great time. After we went hiking to Adams Canyon. Fun day!
 Miller's, us, and the Adam's.

Back in August we went to Lava Hotsprings, ID for our last hurrah for summer. It was the best camping trip I've ever had because it was so random. Our neighbors the Millers and us packed up our suv, ate a huge breakfast at our place and then we were on our way to Lava.
We camped right next to the river, and found a great spot. However when we got there it was very rainy. We were a little worried because all that we wanted to do was outside. But will lots of hope and prayers ha literally, the sun came out just in time. We bought an all day pass and went to the hot springs, which are amazing and so relaxing. We got lunch at one of the 2 restaurants in the town ha, then went to the pool...swam, jumped off incredibly high boards and went down the HUGE slide. It literally goes across the highway. We were going to float the river too but it started raining again. After we went and had a fire at our site, then left to eat dinner at the other restaurant in the town for some pizza. I don't think I can ever say I have been camping and ate at a sit down restaurant. It was awesome, camping clothes and all.
We loved the hotsprings and scary slide! images from google
We had a great time!!

Coming...my birthday post! And our Anniversary!!
