Zoo

Danny and I went to the Byu/Florida game in Provo last weekend, that was pathetic. We stayed at Cassidy's (my sister) house. While we were there we went to the zoo. The zoo was so busy, it was Saturday. We were able to see the new baby elephant, I liked all the animals, but the elephant was the cutest thing that day. There were so many people with strollers, I wanted to hurt them. You seriously couldn't walk anywhere because there were so many strollers. And then just our luck we somehow got stuck with a group that was talking about every animals gestational period and other non-interesting things, I didn't know if I wanted to hurt them or the people with the strollers worse. The kids loved the train ride and the carousel (it was their favorite).
After the zoo we went back to Cass and Damon's, they watched the girls while Danny and I took the boys to the BYU/Florida game. I have only been to BYU games when they have won. This game they lost big time. People were leaving in the third quarter because it was so bad, but we still had fun. I love going up to Jazz and BYU games with our family, and I like staying with Cass and Damon.

Summer Time

We had a good summer, it went by fast. I quit my job at the college in June, I love being home. Delaney played tennis this summer and took 3rd out of 24 kids in the tournament. Delaney did such a good job and improved so much this year.

It was quite an adjustment for me staying home this summer. I have worked for so long and not had kids all day at home, maybe next summer I will be able to get some kind of schedule done so I don't go crazy.

The bowrings adopted the cutest little girl from china, her name is Brinley. Brinley is 6 years old, so she is around my girls age. They had fun with her this summer.

After a summer full of kids all day at home, school finally started, it was the best part of summer. Here they are giving their best smiles they could give that day. The older they get the smaller the smile. Delaney was the most excited and the youngest, so she is still somewhat excited about school. On the other hand I had to almost force Payton to give me a smile (funny).

Halli started school. I thought I wouldn't be so sad, but when I dropped her off she turned the corner and I didn't see her again, and she didn't even care (how sad is that). Halli was so excited for her first day of school. Now that school has been going for a few weeks she is not so excited and actually says it is boring (typical kid).

Movie night/St.Patricks Day

Kate, Patti, and I went to TAKEN last night, it was so intense. The entire show I was hoping the good guy would not die. I can't believe that kind of stuff really happens in this world, that is crazy. I loved the show, Danny wanted to see it but not bad enough to go with a bunch of girls.

We had a fun St.Patricks day. We ate dinner at Patti's house with everyone and Papa. Danny, Patti and Papa had on their big irish hats that Don and Patti got in Ireland, my kids laughed at them--I didn't have my camera to take pictures sorry. We sat around and talked and then watched American Idol, we had a good time.

Our last Baby-- Halli Turns 5

March 11th was Halli's birthday, she was so excited. She shares her birthday with my dad, so on Saturday the 7th we went down to Fry Canyon to have a little birthday party for the two of them and my nephew (who's birthday is on March 6th). The kids rode horses and played outside, while Danny and the boys hauled water to horse tank. It was a fun day, we all love going out my dad's and getting away from everyone and everything.
Last night for Halli's birthday I cooked fried chicken (because this is what Halli asked for). She picked out the cutest outfit with grandma Palmer and later Kate and Shadd stopped by to wish her happy birthday. I wish I could have spent the whole day with Halli, this is her last birthday before she goes into school, but I had to work.

Jazz game/New car

Danny and I went up to the Jazz game this weekend, it was my first game ever. It was a good game, and they did a dedication for Larry H. Miller, they turned out all the lights and shined a spotlight on his empty seat, they also had a slide show, it was sad. At the end of the game they gave his wife the game ball. I wish i could have gotten some pictures.
While we were up in Salt Lake I traded in my car for a Nissan Armada. Our family did not fit in the old car, it fit 5 and we have 6 in our family. The kids were fine while they were little, but now they are getting huge and i could barely shut the doors when the whole family was in the car and I had to buckle 2 kids in one seat belt--not good. The new car fits 8 so it is perfect. I feel like I am driving a bus it feels so big.

Danny's Birthday

Yesterday was Danny's birthday, he turned 29. We went out to the shooting range to help Payton practice for his hunter ed. test and to shoot some of our guns, that was fun. Danny had to finish some things up at work, so we went down to the mortuary for awhile, then came home and cooked dinner and his birthday cake. The kids had gotten him a little something and were so excited to give it to him. I love that you can take a kid to the store and they want to buy dad a candy or something little like that and it is the neatest thing in the world to them. We are getting old.
Danny also got a haircut. Dawnan did a good job. His hair was getting so long. After the hair cut they decided to wax his eyebrows, they are still red and tender.
