Izzie, Gabby and the Yucky Bugs

Isabelle "working" on the laptop.

Izzie is surprisingly good with the mouse.
She pulls up things on the computer that we can't get rid of.

Gabby and Coral.

Cute little Faces.

Yucky Bugs.

Video of Isabelle, Gabby and Coral playing with "The Busy Ball Popper".
(Press pause on the music to the right so you can hear the sound on the video.)

Whenever we are in the den working on the computer, Izzie thinks she needs to "work" on the computer too. She sits down to one of the chairs and starts typing on the keyboard and moving the mouse around; it's pretty funny.
Gabby loves helping with baby Coral. She always wants to hold her even though Coral is wanting to stand up and walk.
On Sunday, this yucky insect kept getting that gigantic spider in his mouth and hauling him up the side of the house--on the stucco, on the door, whatever. Sometimes the spider would fall out of his mouth and the insect would fly down after it, get it in its' mouth again and start crawling up the house. The creatures may have not made such an impact, except that they did this on Sunday and again on Monday. When Darin got home and we went out to kill them, (they were starting to freak out the girls...and me) we couldn't find them anywhere....except when we came back inside the house...and there they were on the tile in the kitchen--sick!!!!!! And what is wierd is that the spider actually started crawling away when Darin went to step on it. I kind of had the heebie-jeebies all day.

Fall Break

Grandma and Grandpa at the zoo.
Izzie's bangs were always in her eyes so I cut them off a couple of days ago.
G-pa and G-ma bought everyone kettle corn--yum!
Some of the party on the cats at the zoo.
Grandpa, Liv and Sof.
The gang by the pond at Sona's new apartment.
Trina and Kennedy on the elephant.
Whoa!
Gabby on the elephant.

Izzie and Kennedy.
Gabby throwing a peace sign.

Fall Break was on Thursday and Friday of last week. We drove to Salt Lake on Wednesday as the flights were booked. The girls kept saying that it was “taking sooooo long”. I’m afraid we’ve been a little spoiled by the flights. Livie and Sofie and Kennedy came over for Thursday and Friday as well. The six little granddaughters had a great time going to lunch, the dollar store, doing a craft and going for a walk with Grandma and Grandpa.
I worked Thursday; it was fun to see the old staff again. Friday we continued the festivities by taking the girls to the zoo. Friday night, Heidi and I and the girls went to see Sona’s new apartment; there is a pond with ducks and lots of beautiful trees. We had a nice time walking around the grounds and talking. Saturday, Carolee and her girls came down and we were able to chat over lunch before the girls and I headed for home.
On the way home, we stopped at Jeremy and Cami's to pick up the meat. We stayed and had dinner with them and the kids played like crazy. Cami and I ran over to Sam’s Club as I needed to stock up on some pasta and they have the big bags at a good price there. I got up to the check-out stand and realized that my wallet was missing…luckily I found it between the seats in the van later...phew. We had a nice visit and it was really good to see them. I wish only wish I would have taken some pictures.
We were very happy to see Darin when we got home. He kept himself busy with work, church, and all kinds of projects around the house while we were gone. I seriously love that guy...lots and lots and lots.

Gabrielle and the Grasshopper

Gabby caught her first grasshopper on Wednesday evening. On Thursday she remembered that he was still in her bugcatcher in the back yard. She fed him some grass and gave him some time in the sunshine. We enjoy our days together when she is home from preschool and Isabelle is napping. I love the fall light on her hair.

Tina's Birthday

The birthday girl, herself.
Calvin liked the candle flames.
And yes, the crayon candles were a special request from Tina.
Abby, Gabby, Kate and Trina waiting to sing the happy birthday song.
Choices, choices.
Last Sunday we celebrated Aunt Tina's Birthday. We had dinner, listened to conference, rode bikes and had cake and ice cream. Dan was out of town to Concrete University so we missed him. We managed to have some fun times, though. The cousins sure enjoyed playing with each other.

All Tired Out

Trina, Gabby and I slept nearly the entire flight home...what a great way to fly! Trina and Gabby continued their napping in the car part of the time from L.A. to Saint George. Hawaii: what a fun way to get worn-out.

The Luau

We finished off the trip with a traditional Hawaiian Luau right on the ocean. We watched them get the Kalua pig out of the ground and they sang Hawaiian music. After the sun set over the ocean, they performed dances from many different islands. What a fun trip!

Back to the Beach

We couldn't resist another trip to Hapuna Beach.

Love that laugh.

Busy at work.

The kids worked hard trying to dig and fill a "hot tub" in the sand.

They found out that sand doesn't hold water too well.

The waves were a lot stronger and harder this time.

Gabby didn't let go of Trina once while they were in the water!

Shaved Ice

No trip to Hawaii would be complete without some yummy shaved ice. This shaved ice was HUGE and it was filled with the ice cream of your choice--yum! We sat by the ocean while we ate it and we laughed a lot. Then we did some souvenir shopping before heading back for the night.
