Christmas 2011

We had a very merry Christmas, despite there being no snow. The kids all seemed to be happy with what Santa brought and with the other presents they received. It was a busy day, as we got up early and opened presents with Grandma and Grandpa Bowers and other family, then we hustled to get dressed and ready for church at 9 a.m with Jared (Dave's brother), Suzy and little Spencer. Then it was off to Grandpa Lee's house for more presents and food. Finally we were able to rest and play with our new stuff.

Logan's Birthday

We can't believe that Logan turned 5 this year. He is growing up so fast. He is full of energy and comes up with the funniest things to say. He also has the biggest imagination is is often off playing with some imaginary adventure. We couldn't imagine life without him! Happy Birthday Logan, we love you.

Halloween 2011

So this year for Halloween we decided that we'd go for a theme this year. We don't really remember how this idea came up, but we decided to go with Peter Pan. Logan made for an adorable Peter, Zoe a cute Tiger Lily, Macy a beautiful Tinkerbell and Jackson, Daddy and Mommy as dastardly pirates! Jack couldn't quite decide whether he was Captain Hook or Mr. Smee. It was a fun Halloween night!

Christie put a lot of hard work into these costumes (she made them all except the adults). And we looked awesome!

Catch Up...Whew

Okay, so we realize that it has been since December since we posted anything new on here. Maybe it's because blogging seems to be fading and we just aren't as involved, or maybe we've just been busy, or maybe we've just been lazy.

A lot has happened in the last 5 months. First, Bagel got married! and we are so excited to have Josh as a bro-in-law. Dave also graduated with a Masters in Education. Christie and Jack both celebrated birthdays and are another year older. That's the happy news. Those that are reading this probably already know the sad news. Dave's mom passed away on February 25th after a very short (couple of weeks) battle with cancer. We are grateful that she only had to fight for a couple of weeks and that our Heavenly Father saw fit to take her quickly. She is very much missed.

So, now that we should have more time to update this more often, we should be updating everyone in a more timely manner. Until then, we've left lots of pictures from the past few months. Hopefully that will satisfy you.
